Combo Queen - Action RPG

Found this game by accident in the App Store very surprised it only has a thousand downloads. i like the art style, the combo gameplay is not complicated its taking me awhile to get the timing down but it's oh so satisfying when you nail those perfect. As someone who hasn't played a smartphone game in a while its nice to find something that draws you in and and keeps you playing.

I really enjoy this game and can see it being a repeatable game unlike a lot of others. My only major issue is the constant crashes in the middle of my runs. One time I won 5000 on the slots and kept running but then the game crashed and I lost it all. But kept an achievement. So if the constant crash problem gets fixed I'll happily give 5 stars to this game.

I like this game. But it is a little too unforgiving in the beginning. Timing is the biggest factor of the game and I was always a split second too soon with my attacks. But I applaud the concept. I can see me killing time and trying to raise my score and stats.

You like a challenge? Try this. Tough to get into and extremely tough to master, but once that switch clicks, it becomes extremely satisfying! The developers obviously put lots of effort into this and there's no IAP (thank f**k!), so well worth the cash to support them. Well done devs!

Combo Queen has beautiful pixel art and an amusing soundtrack to match. However, unless you spend lots of time honing your skill you won't see very much other than the first few enemies. Combo Queen would have done well with an easy or beginner mode. Still, it is worth the entry fee of $2

I just got this game and it wont get me past the intro since it just crashes. I have a Samsung S5 and its the first game this ever happened, and i own a lot of apps. Game looks great tho, id like to be able to play it.

I first time tried this game on Note 5, but it crashed within a second. Then I got a refund, yet I bought it again. Still crashed on Note 5 though. So I try on Galaxy S4 and it worked! I love the game and mostly the art! I give ya 3 Stars unless I can play this on Note 5. Hope this will be fixed.

As the title says game crashes a lot on my Galaxy Note 4 usually at the same time as my button tap this game is really fun i hope you can fix this. Edit: its quite horrible i cant even complete a solid minute of gameplay

This game uses a two thumbs controls style where you tap the left or right side of the screen. It's all timing based and fairly simple, but also quite difficult. I still haven't beaten the first boss, but it's pretty fun so far. Sort of a rhythm game but styled as a runner / beat 'em up. Unfortunately the frame rate stutters a little bit.

I picked this one up at random because I liked the art style. Turns out it's a pretty darn good runner where you smash what's in your way instead of dodge it! It's definitely tough, but surprisingly fun and charming. Long live the Combo Queen!

This is a type of game that will keep you occupied when you're bored. It has beautiful graphics, soundtracks and backgrounds, at least that's my opinion. I experience slight lags from time to time. But otherwise, keep up the good work!

I thought this was just a run and slash gsme. Where the computer does most of the work. I was wrong. You have to find your shots and blocks. Really keeps me engaged.

Simple and fun with no in app purchase nonsense! A very addictive game with great animation, art style and gameplay. Needs more RPG elements (what's there is very bare bones) such as story, more choice of paths to take and character/gear customizations. Could also use some more combos, maybe even super crazy and difficult ones for the truly hardcore.

Crashes almost immediately on my Pixel. I bought it for my new phone because I liked it so much on iOS, but I can't even play it. Real shame, since it's a great game otherwise.

One note about the "difficulty" though, I've played some pretty difficult games before (finished dark souls series) but my problem here is that I just can't get a proper feel for the controls, the text feedback isn't enough for the level of accuracy required. what this needs is better clearer visual and perhaps even vibration feedback.

Update : doesn’t work on my new phone, nexus 6p, a year now and no fix or update old review :Frame skips every few seconds, which is bad for rythem games, also the indicator could be much better, closing speed is uneven.

I like the game but can only play for about 2-3 minutes before crashing. Will give 5 stars when the is fixed. Great game otherwise.

This is a great game, but it has occasionally stutters on my nexus 5. Not game breaking but enough to runs sometimes.

A fun game with a neat concept, just not much to work towards. There are only a handful of weapons and unlocks, so after you've saved up for that one weapon you want there's nothing your want to save towards anymore and motivation to play drops off a cliff.

Once you get the hang of it it's a very frustratingly addictive and very hard game. I really hope that the developers are still cooking up some new content though like new enemies like goldens (which i still haven't beaten) with their own rewards like the golden toms, new axes, and that armour I've been looking forward to. But if you're looking for a great game to play for a week or two definately download this game!

I really like the style of this game but I think there should be four or five extra characters to unlock. A swordsman, a witch, a rogue, an armoured knight, etc.

I like this but it won't start on my shield tablet, but for some reason it works on my Samsung galaxy S6 eage phone. I recommend this game if you don't have a Nvidia Shield.

the game is plays good but everytime the music loops it causes the game to stutter and messes me up when I'm in the middle of a combo.

I miss the old "guardian heroes" days, games don't have to be so hyper-realistic....they just have to be fun. Good game play, bit of a story to keep you motivated. I miss mega man, and games like it. Epic stuff guys, I wish I could buy this game twice, I love it so much.

Its got a great concept, stuff you'd see people think about doing but they never do; kudos to you for that. Combos are hard and its unforgiving yeah but that's part of the joys of mastering a game you like. Sometimes freezes on Nexus 5.

This game is very fun good pick up and play title. However please refine the controls more they feel a little sluggish and clunky, when you do this I will rate 5 star.

It's extremely frustrating only having visual cues to tell when to tap and the style with which they appear is disorienting. The speed of the (let's call them 'taps') taps is fast enough to have you scrambling just to stay alive. you fight frantically and when you die it just stops. the amount of gems you get doesn't feel rewarding and it really doesn't feel like a combo game at all. A good example of one is 'punchquest' two buttons that you use in tandem to go as far as you can before you die, (not enough)

Music stops after a bit. Hope to the the armour slot put to use.

Becomes to repetitive and simple. Needs to be more dynamic with complex touch gestures. Make feel less like I'm just tapping a screen.

Needs more tangible rewards. You fight and fight, save up gems, buy better axes, only to be met with stronger enemies.

Frame loss on higher level causes you to miss parry. C'mon guys give us an option to remove the 'Burst' sign and the stupid flashing. The visual cue for feinting should be shown earlier. If all levels were accessible from the beginning you guys would have gotten many refunds. Pressing on the wrong side shouldn't even be a miss, it should count as invalid input at most. Despite all these I would love to see the game gains popularity and grows.

Very fun game to play.Hard at first but fun to master.Nice retro graphic design that looks beautiful. No inapp purchase is a plus for me.Would really love to see more levels,enemies or different weapons to master. I did notice some lag sometimes on my Nexus6. If you like games that are a bit on the hard side you will enjoy this.Who ever made this game put some love into it and i hope they make more.Totally worth 2$.

Great game! Love that it's so hard core and stars an awesome likable Amazon gal, so nice in the plethora of average Joes, white dudes in crew cuts and pretty anime guys that plague android games. I would complain that it's too hard but that's more of a reflection of how much I suck!

Exciting combination of the runner formula with a simple brawler, with impressive amounts of visual polish and a great feel. Unfortunately, a lack of variety becomes evident quickly, and the combo system, while difficult to master, lacks depth.

Be warned, you need to have killer timing to start waxing bad guys, and all you start out with are two hand axes and a skimpy two piece that hardly resembles armor. Thankfully, by defeating baddies, you can get some cash to help upgrade your stash. If your patience is thinner than her diaphanous bikini, you might want to stay away. But if the allure of mastering the timing of your attacks draws you in, this title is worth a shot!

Crashes with no error on launch on nexus 9. Works fine on my nexus 4 though. Awesome game, will give remaining two stars when compatibility is better.

I love rhythm and timing games, this one is a fair addition to my collection. Great art etc. Jada Jada. However, rotating diamonds as a timing indicator must be one of the least intuitive design choices I've encountered so far. I'll only give two stars for now since the Google Play buttons ingame do nothing and there is a lack of a timing calibration feature. PS: I played a bit further and found more inconsistencies in game design that make it very frustrating at certain points. One star.

First was shown it from the creator when I was streaming King of Thieves and fell in love with it, lost my old phone and bought the game again, if you like old school style graphics and game play then you'll love this game, actually difficult, bring back the fun and competitiveness from the old games I love, highly recommend!
