Horror in the Pacific for Android
This wonderful classic text adventure has not only a great story, but a fantastic interface, perfectly adapted for mobile. It could use a few minor tweaks, but no real complaints here. 5 massive stars for one of the best modern mobile text adventures I've played yet!
Once again, enjoyed this very much, like the others in the series! Edit: Wow - after reading another review (after I finished game), I realized I TOTALLY forgot about the initial decision you are given at game start about military background! (I had picked Rifleman) Time for another playthrough! Brilliant. Six stars! :o)
Another game after Horror in the darkness and I'm loving it. The map helps a lot which wasn't there in the previous one I played. But now I've been stuck for a while and couldn't figure it out. "Where is the exhaust vent?" (I chose the artillery crew) Edit: yeah got it. Thnx
Another top notch game from Karmic Shift! Was so pleased and excited to download it. I had to finish it in one go so I waited til I had time. This game is longer than the first "horror in the darkness", and comes with a handy map. One glitch I had was when talking to the tourist, I selected the second item of convo, skipping the first, thinking I could come back to it later. I could not. I actually solved his "puzzle" by accident, but I replayed the game to do it in proper sequence. I did get stuck near the very end of the game because I missed something, but I managed in the end. I am seriously thinking of buying the other "horror" game in this series.
A very smart story , good , and remains standing , i felt sad almost everyone i knew was dead , even Maago was eaten , gross i did felt opening him , but then the game says after opening maago , "The cannibals already did" , Eeewww , but i'm just an 9 year old , but , to be honest , i don't know what "Hints" actually mean but it looks like it's telling me what to do , maybe it's a trick ? But my comment just mean that " The game is cool , awsome actions that i do not that would work , EVEN THE TORCH to the twisted tree ! Rate 5 stars , and feel free to install at a low amount of MB lower than 20 , and you'll have the story of escaping in an island your trapped in and investigate the dissapearances of people , and don't worry about the horror , yeah , if your a cool guy , play this game and the hints will tell you what to do , whatever that means im not a maid though , but it's good though to have them free , cause i just used only 4 hints to 1. stop the pollution , (sugar trick) , 2. use the ledge with the grappling hook , 3. the hairpin that can come in handy (Im not spoiling the story , im just trying to make the story with a cool ending for who newly to install this) , 4. Goodbye panther !
Really enjoying the game but I'm stuck at the end! I went with mine disposal option and am left with shell, map, key, axe, fireworks, journal. I'm guessing I need to create a rock slide but can't figure it out!
I usually get through these adventures fairly quick, and without help. Long story short. I completely missed one area that had one last item needed to finish.
This was the first time I've played a game like this, but I had a lot of fun with it! I think I would have been cool to some at least still graphics to accompany the text, other then that I loved it!
I love this series! It's so fun and easy to play! Very entertaining, I recommend everyone play and I don't even like the horror genre.
Love these games, I would recommend them to any Lovecraft fan. I can't wait for more!
More complicated then the original but challenging and fun. Great little text based adventure.
Amazing so far! How do you block the exhaust vent on the generator though?
Great! Got a bit stuck but got there in the end.... Can't wait for the next one!!!
Very fun game. Short , but not too short. Good story.
A nice story, entertaining, I really liked it, nice work :)
As a mine guy there is no way to finish the game. You get fireworks and a shell but there is no way to use them. Bad bug in the game.
Realistic, descriptive, thought-provoking, intelligent, and all-around brilliant. A shining example of how a text rpg should be.
This is a review for all 3 stories. Thanks for the fun, and PLEASE WRITE MORE!
Nostalgia for one raised on text based games.
Great game I loved it, a little short though
I want to play more
Reminds me of the typing games, from the beginning of the PC era. Good times.
How...just how to block the exhaust vent?? T_T
I really liked the first one and I think this one was a lot better.
Another amazing game! Looking forward to the others. Cheers!
Yet another 5-star Karmic Shift game.
Awesome...played it non stop, tired. But loved playing.
Good story, no illogical puzzles, a good time!
Great story as usual. Can't wait for the next one.
Longer than the first. Awesome!
Could be longer
Fantastic games , love 'em .
Great game
Best choice game
Amazing fun game
Brilliant
Nicely done! I enjoyed this.
3 parts I got lost at. Stopping the pollution, Getting the ticket, Cutting the final vine. Aside from that, the game had a smart story, and a fun theme. Precision with words could help with the hints, but the author was open to explaining said hints. (I got a response within a day of sending the text.) Plus it's free... I liked it a lot.
Difficult to figure the puzzles, making it more rewarding to solve them. Game has a dark sense of humor especially when you try to push various people, which I loved! I can't wait to see what you lot do next~

Really loved the game! It would be interesting to see a feature in the game where certain areas of the map are designated as "hostile," for instance when you enter the Kuti Kuti village a "hostile zone" marker appears and you have a time limit in which you have to leave the are or else you are spotted and killed. Just a thought! Loved the story, descriptions give a clear image of the environment! Keep up the good work!
