Horror in the Darkness Redux

I truly loved the game. It was a good story, it challenged my ability to think logically, creatively and smart. But I also thought it was rather short and had an abrupt ending. Maybe if you were to make a sequel? I can see it now. Congrats on making a really cool, fun game.

A really good text based adventure game, reminded on the old online game Anchorhead. The story was good, and I loved the Lovecraft theme. The puzzles were moderately difficult, but you could still pretty much solve them all without resorting to the game hints. The only thing that stops me from giving it 5 stars is that the last part of the game felt rushed. In the beginning there's a lot of exploration, but once you get to the last 1/3rd of the game, everything kind of gets put on a really linear path and things end quickly. The last area location could've been really expanded. Overall though, fun little game with an interesting story, should take about 2 hours to get through. Great to play in the car or on trip

Great text adventure. I enjoyed the writing and story overall. Only qualm, as someone else mentioned, is to do with the last area: it doesn't seem as fleshed out as the rest of the game. Maybe this is to entice you to play the next chapyer/game, not sure but I still thoroughly enjoyed it.

It kind of addictive at the beginning but i almost lost interest in this game if not with the help of the developer. Really thank you for helping me all the way. Never thought u guys will reply. It kind of sad when it end suddenly. Looking forward for ur next game

Good old fashioned text based game. Fun update of previous version. Only fault I see is that there are inventory items with no use - are these just distractions, or was some part left out of the game?

I enjoyed playing the last version and the new version is even better and challenging. I liked it. I would have appreciated if the version could tell us a little background of the artifact or how things actually started. Otherwise loved it.

i have played both horror in the Pacific and horror in the darkness, i much preferred this one the story was easier to follow and i found it more involving. its a good experience, would definitely recommend.

I love those kinds of games and never could come across good ones like this one ! It's challenging and really intreging ! Looking forward for new ones soon !!

I'm always a fan of interactive novels, the choose your adventure sort. Well written, engrossing. Your imagination truly is the most terrifying thing.

Really grest, but the descriptions are a bit lacking. Also, horror in the pacific is better in my opinion, but overall a great story

Fun, though a bit shorter than I had expected. Also, is there a reason that the game doesn't auto save after each item pickup? There were a couple of times where I had picked up an item, then stopped playing. When I then started playing again a key item was no longer in my inventory. Not a huge deal but since I would make sure to fully explore each location before I left I wouldn't think to go back to previously explored areas in order to re-take a item.

I played the original a year ago and enjoyed it, so much so that I wished it was longer in order to make way for a better, creepier build-up. I'm glad I came across this version now. Also, I'm thrilled to discover that the dev did follow through with the planned sequels. At this point, I'm actually so down with subscribing to a mailing list just in case the dev comes up with more games lol.

It was time consuming and frustrating at times, but that's what made the game so amazing. I could get angry, walk away, come back, and make a discovery that changed the game. I highly recommend this to people who like a challenge and thinking outside the box.

This is the first time I play this kind of game, and I'm not dissapointed. Definitely will try their other works. The story is quite short though, but maybe its just perfect for those whose not upgrading their game (moving here and there without 'fast travel' is quite troublesome)

Twas a nice fill of three hours. Not really my cup of tea but semi entertaining. I would've like more snarky remarks when asking him to do idiotic things like taking the body. Still pretty good.

Fun text based adventure in the vein of Lovecraftian Horror. Save after finding a new item because the game only autosaves at certain points. Would love to upgrade to a longer version as the game itself is rather short.

Good game . I agree it was quite short . But it did stump me a few times and it frustrated me a lot cos I forgot to save my progress .
