It plays like old game but needs better opponents

D70%
by D####:

I can see the whole map; can see the oppents; and later on make it multiplayer w/ menu

R70%
by R####:

I have played this game in every free moment for 6 months. Really like the map generation.

A70%
by A####:

Still a great game and I have no problem at all, like some people have stated, moving my units around. Straight-forward and awesome

T70%
by T####:

Not a bad remake and certainly has that old empire feel to it. I recommend download it. Just be sure to read the instructions first or you won't know how to move units.

C70%
by C####:

I still play this. Two years after I discovered it

X70%
by X####:

Installed, tried to play but single tap or double and all it did was skip my turn. Help was less then helpful on how to play

M70%
by M####:

Great fun unit you meet a computer opponent. Opponents do not conquer other cities so while you might have 30 cities your enemy will still have just the one they started with. Exploring and conquering is fun but there is no chance you will ever loose in the game.

H70%
by H####:

It doesn't let me play but for one round then it crashes

Y70%
by Y####:

I guess its ok

O70%

As hell

H70%

Awful

Y70%

Dont get this!

X70%
by X####:

Needs a more aggressive competitor. But good job, many hours of fun warring.

Takes time to figure out...still can't load a cargo plane

Q70%

So far this is good, but I look forward to better fixes and the ability for the game saves to work effectively. I do like how true the game is to the classic version while taking advantage of the current-day technology.

N70%

So cool

I have been enjoying this game for several weeks now. It does need some improvements but is overall a good start. The game usually locks up before a map can be completed. It needs to allocate more memory. Adding a displayed pale "movement vector" showing the destinations of all visible units would be nice. The path selection routine could be a bit smarter. It gets hung up in corners too easily. It also seems to have real problems picking a path to the northwest direction.

T70%
by T####:

Loved the original and so looked forward to this. The units are so hard to move so I gave up. Shame.

G70%
by G####:

I was a big fan of the old PC version I of Empire. I have been searching for this type of game for a long time. The feel is slow and hard to move your units. The game changes between units before you can set a course for the first one. Now the game will not boot at all. Please work oht the glitches because I will love it when it is done.

So excited that somebody is resurrecting Empire! As the developer has clearly stated this is still a Beta release, so keep that in mind. I have some suggestions for future development which I hope will be helpful: 1. Add command buttons. The current method of various types of screen taps is cumbersome. 2. Make the city ownership markers more prevalent. 3. Include the command option for flight paths and patrols. 4. Include the Cruiser naval unit. 5. Add more definition between the land and sea tiles.

Resets to start after around turn 100. Needs a more aggressive competitor. But good job, many hours of fun warring.

X70%
by X####:

The port suffers from the age of the source material, but it's Empire all right. Some confusion over units and game play (accidental skips and unfortunate auto-pathing), and the dev mentioned AI deficient, but an addicting game. Don't expect it to babysit you like many modern games. Save often!

O70%
by O####:

I played it on vic20 and com64 & 128 in the 80s it was a great game then but the computer would take 30 - 45 min or more to play 1 turn in a big game I am looking forward to playing big games without the waiting. This app resets but I got over 200 turns in 1 game. There needs to be more control on each unit with a pop up to show, how many units on board and to wake them up if you want not skip skip, skip each unit every turn. Every unit should move every turn. Each continue or pop up menu to allow control

M70%
by M####:

Fix it.. gawd!!! Embarrassment to the original.. neutral city takes out 16 armies??? Before being over taken??? transport planes won't load.. rarely saves and to long to finish in one sitting

Q70%
by Q####:

Now just optimize and improve! BTW: big + for not asking for any permissions.

R70%
by R####:

That update helps...

Q70%
by Q####:

I was over 400 rounds in and the game crashed. It even deleted my saved game from before. Was ok game untill that happened. Just dont want to start all over again.

Q70%
by Q####:

Addictive, but if you forget to save your game, you lose it. Fail!

M70%

Please update

Q70%

Its pretty fun but I have some confusion with how to load armies on a plane and missiles on ships. The help could be a little more specific.
