I jus realized I still had my review from 2 yrs ago on here An I had to change it cuz I LOVE SPELLTOWER!!! This has been the best money I've spent since I've owned Androids which has been about 6 yrs This game is Awesome so Addicting I cnt get enuff its GREAT!!! THANKS DESIGNERS FOR THIS GAME!!! MONEY WELL SPENT DEF WUDNT CHANGE A THING.. My first review was a 2 an thats only cuz it was actin up but I haven't had a problem since not one!!!

This is a fun way to kill a little time. My husband has this on his iPhone (and got me hooked), and I was a little disappointed that the Android version won't let me tap on my word list at the end to pull up the dictionary definitions. For me that is a really nice feature.

Love the game! Very engaging, lots of play options, and adore playing on long rides. The only issue I have is that the bug that erases the high score and resets the game was NOT fixed. Very frustrating. Wold be a 5 star game if it weren't for the glitch. You have to go through a tutorial every time it resets.

Love the game, but my scores and history are erased at random times, meaning I lose my high scores! This, plus the fact that the Global Scores button has never worked, means only three stars. We paid for the game, so it SHOULD be reliable.

Doesn't upload high score or best word if you have no reception and won't ever even when you connect the data again. This issue has been outstanding since more than a year or two.. downgraded rating.

The save game issue still isn't fixed. It says that it's synced to Google Play Games but the game always launches to the tutorial.

I love this game but am SICK of doing the tutorial every time I want to play... it stores nothing and I have to start fresh every time... at this point I wish I wouldn't have spent the money on it... please fix this issue ASAP

Game randomly crashed and I lost everything. It totally reset. This is not acceptable for a paid game.also whenever I come back to play the game it totally resets and I lose all my scores and I have to do the freakin tutorial again. This is a PAID app developers. Stop stealing people's money and giving them a broken app. FIX IT. Even with all these negative reviews the app developers STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE APP. The scores keep resetting and I have to do the tutorial again. FIX IT NOW.... UPDATE : DEVELOPERS STILL HAVE NOT FIXED THE APP RESETTING ITSELF ALL THE TIME AND DELETING SCORES. DO NOT BUY THIS APP. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE DEVELOPERS. THEY TOOK MY MONEY AND GAVE ME A BROKEN APP!!!!

If you like playing with words, this is the one for you! But the recent update has made the game almost impossible to play. The app made me take the tutorial again, and now the app.is stuck there; won't move on; locked!

Needs to expand dictionary if nothing else. Would not accept "minotaur" but contrarily accepts random slang too vulgar to repeat here. Also an explanation of scoring would be nice.

I love this game. It's addicting to try to find the words and keep it going. My one complaint is that every single time that there is an update for the app, or it crashes (which is rarely), all of my scores and data are lost. I hate having to start over at the tutorial for a game that I've been playing for years now. Would be five stars of that were fixed.

The app is a work of beautiful simplicity and can be a great little brain exercise to kill some time. I would give it 5 stars except every week since I have bought it it seems to lose all my high scores and reset. This seems to be a pretty common problem. A fix would be immensely appreciated. I'd hate for this stupid bug to destroy my enjoyment of an otherwise great little game.

I love the game but it keeps resetting and making me playing through the tutorial to get into the game. I'm getting sick of doing that and about ready to give up on it and uninstall. Device is a Nexus 5x running 7.1.

I love this game and has always been my go-to when ever I need to kill some time or relax. But since swapping my iPhone for a Sony Z3c this game keeps crashing and losing all my progress. Last night I made some incredible words and had a great session. It ended in a crash and I lost all of it. Lost about 10000 points! Despite that I thought I would try and do it again but it crashed after 2 minutes. Hardly making me want to go back to it. The game should save progress after every single word!

I downloaded this, a paid download, per someone's request. It was this person's favorite game. I thought we would be able to play against one another but you can't! You can play against others on your same wifi network, but that's it. The game is fairly boring, I can't even figure out the scoring system, I'll get high points for something simple, and low for something complex. All in all I regret purchasing it.

Been playing the same gave for several weeks which I enjoy doing when I need to kill a few minutes here & there. Had an all time high of over 85,000 points going and then CRASH....nothing. Lost my history, everything. Need to do tutorial over. Frustrating.

This has been my favorite game for a couple of years now. Lately however I get messages saying that an internal failure occurred and that I don't own the app! I actually uninstalled and reinstalled, paying for it a second time but it's still doing the same thing. So it's useless to me now.

This game is a b******* S every time i reach the top to keep playing this game do not reconice the words,, if you can fix the adding points so every new points get added to the Old score y will give you 5 star, Exem,,old score 2000,new game 700 All shoud add to total 2700

I've had the game for a month or two now and it played fine, no problems, only one crash, which isn't too big of a deal. Today, however, it reset itself, deleting all my high scores, progress, etc., and I will have to replay the tutorial. I saw that others have had this problem, and someone mentioned they had a Galaxy S5. I do too, though I don't know if that really has anything to do with it. Such as shame, cause I had like 12313 points or something like that on puzzle mode, and I love this game.

I like the game but after a few weeks of playing, for some inexplicable reason, the games all appear LOCKED, I have to run through the tutorial again and I lose all my high scores. This has happened to me twice now. Same as others have reported. I wouldn't mind as much if this was a free game but I PAID for this. C'MON DEVELOPERS, FIX IT! It ruins the game completely. December 11 AGAIN locked and all my high scores erased. Stupid app.

This is addictive but the design of the game is slightly flawed, which is frustrating. In Puzzle Mode it is impossible to keep playing for any length of time as the game restricts you so much. You end up with towers of letters you can't do anything with, because new rows are added from the bottom, not the top. Also, new letters appear that demand to be included in 5 or 6 letter words, and most of the time this is impossible. BTW, I have experienced the game resetting as reported by other people.

Good news bad news: The gameplay is great. Everything else is horrible. Installing is a pain. Doesn't work. When/If you get this working on a device you'll enjoy it unless it crashes. This is the gentlest suggestion to maybe look over what causes so many problems with this game on Android. I would pay twice as much for a stable version.

EDIT: Game just forgot all my progress. **** this. Immensely fun, sometimes spent whole sessions just staring at the cloud, thinking about the best combination. Don't have any major issues with it, highscores and such have (after a few months) never been erased. Only problem is that the highscore is cut off, so 5600 appears as 560. On a Oneplus One.

Terrible app! It keeps resetting back as if it was first installed. Not only will you lose your current games, but you'll lose your high scores AND you have to go through those lame tutorials to even play. It's happened several times. Unacceptable. Uninstalled. That is just terrible programming.

The game keeps restarting, erases my high scores and makes me redo the tutorial. Fed up. samsung galaxy s5. Fix this already!! So so so annoyed

This is a really great game if you want to make 3 or 4 letter words. I've been over30000 points and the game won't accept letters. Problems: Touch a letter and it won't hilight; after 3 letters it won't hilight the next; touch 4 letters and it accepts and gives points for the first 3; doesnt know very many words....many times it falters on 6 letter words. I'm tired of finding compound words like fulfilled, and it gives points for fill. Im deleting this game let me know when you've fixed the glitches.

I have played, downloaded, and deleted a boatload of word games over the past few years but this game has still remained, I can honestly say, a constant on all of my devices. I usually play when I'm drinking my coffee in the morning to get my brain up and running. It's like training for your gray matter. Who needs expensive apps like Luminosity, etc. when we have just as good or better right here? It's also a great time waster for those annoying wait times at doctor visits, motor vehicle renewal waits, etc. Whoever says it's boring is word-challenged (to put it nicely, so as not to call in to question another's intelligence. It's just a game ppl, lol). Five stars, a snap, neck roll, a nod and a nudge, peace sign, dueces, fist bump, explosion, a herky, basket toss, moonwalk, some interpretive dancing and a wave for this app! =)

This is the only game I keep on my phone any more. It's engaging enough that I always want to play it, but not so addictive that I waste hours on it. Best of all, I don't feel like it's making me dumber. Has a few trivial problems: 1) Too easy to accidentally hit "New Game". This is always how I die in Puzzle Mode. Please add a confirmation step! 2) Occasionally resets - but my saved game and scores are there once I've unlocked the levels again.

Every time it updates, or for some other reason, it keeps locking up the different modes. I have to play the tutorial and then each successive mode to unlock again. Otherwise very nice game

If you like doing a tutorial every few days, this is the game for you. Developer has obviously moved on from this one and will never fix the reset problem.

Love this app, works v smoothly, loads of fun, quite addictive, love the different types of game. Just wish I cld try out multiplayer, without having to be on the same Wi-Fi as friend AND for them to be another android user! How limiting is that!

It is nice to play... But the dictionary is garbage. Standard words not recognized, but non-words or obscure acronyms are. As such, you are incentivized to blindly try as many combinations add possible

A great game for whiling away a few moments - but it has an infuriating habit of wiping out previous high scores and sending you back to the tutorial.

Debate mode will not work. Please fix it and I will give it the 5 stars it deserves. // S5 and S3 on the same network//

Fine until the powers that be decide to wipe all scores and force a restart! That takes away any incentive to play the game! Fix it!

Android version offers a lot fewer letters, 96 to be exact, while ipad offers 150. No idea why this limit, when the screens are same size. But I was disappointed. Would not have bothered to get it if I had known.

Spelling random words I haven't heard of like qua, von, tana, luv, biz, vee. Didn't know word 'asian'.

This game is addicting. Wish the word list gave definitions though like it did on my older model ipod touch.

I enjoy this game very much, but this morning it deleted me for the 4th time and I have to start over at the locked mode yet again. I have lost two high scores over 150,000 and one this time of almost 70,000. Rescue me game maker! I think this is a deal breaker for me! Sigh. I will miss you Spelltower.
