UFO: Alien Invasion

Screen res makes everything too small. Most buttons are invisible or nearly impossible to hit. Changing the screen res doesn't work right, the new res just uses a smaller portion of my screen. The 'stretch' option doesn't seem to work. I'm still trying to make this one playable because I want to play it, but I'm starting to give up.

I like the idea and the style however it could use some slight adjustments to the combat especially for tablet as the buttons are quite small and it is hard to navigate.

I`d like more resolution options. Samsung 10.1`s run 1280x800 i.ex. Works like a charm! It is a tad difficult to control on a touchscreen alone, so i invested in a bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Now it feels even better than on a computer! ^^

But horrible horrible horrible controls on tablet. Sound works, good graphics, no crashes. I really like the game though. Will download for PC. Can't wait to see this working. If you're looking for something like XCOM that does work, Xenowar will give a quick fix for your android, but it's not as good as this game.

This game gives me a feeling for xcom but still the controls are rusty and give almost nothing about any campaign based info and game controls. But still a nice debugged version of the linux based UfO alien invasion. But no one can beat XCOM.

I've been using this game for a few weeks and I haven't had too many problems. People should have been informed in the program description that this is a Beta program, that it's still a work in progress. FYI, I'm using a Galaxy Note 8.

It wont connect to servers to download the data, I got it manually from the devs website but its packaged as a tar file with no indication of what folder to copy it to. Manual instructions would be appreciated

Selecting a soldier, aiming, shooting, moving, scrolling or zooming the map. All of it is done almost the same way and there is an equal chance of any of these things happening. Sadly it usually isn't the thing you were trying to do. I have a headache from staring at the tiny figures. Maybe it's from the rage. What on earth were they thinking

Retro strategy feel. Hope they do more. Battle screen swith between camera move and person move is bad, sometimes have my dudes walk where im tapping the camera to move. Thatd be a needed fix.

I loved the xcom game years ago and this is very similar but trying to scroll the battle map around is excruciatingly painful and often causes soldiers to move when you are just trying scroll the map. Please fix this. I would gladly pay a few bucks for the game if you did. As is I cannot even play it.

I often experience crashes. If you fix this, I will give you 5 stars without doubt. I like idea of game, I was playing "pocket UFO 1.26" and I loved the game, this seems even better but often crashes makes it impossible to play.

Few minor issues. The cursor doesn't always respond when equipping soldiers. But i guess that's because it is a p.c game played with a mouse. Other than that no issues and more like xcom, than xcom its self.

any time i try to play a mission or skirmish, maybe base defense. the game freezes. nothing happens. the base management is working well and is fun but i gotta auto mission everything so i don't advance much. after first time base gets attacked. also the soldier equipment screen has no pictures or anything to indicate there's anything. i can't even Change the equipment on the soldiers

Can't even load past the installation screen, tried 5 times, but no go - I loved the game on pc for years, its an absolutely fantastic Xcom remake and well worth your time. Such a shame its got such basic issues and that so many people are having them - we get so few strategy games worthy of the title on smartphones.... Please please please fix it!

I tried this game last year and it was a disaster... With potential. Now some of that potential has been realized but there is still some room to optimize. Great effort!

I have always been a HUGE fan of the old X-Com games, and turn based strategies as a whole. This game would be great with traditional interface devices, but doesn't feel like they even tried to adapt it to touchscreen mobile devices. It makes the battle mode difficult and annoying at best.

Expected so much better. Scrollingcontrol of ui almost impossible. Shame, could b good. Too many cons, not enough pros

This seems like a great game, but my screen turns black when I enter the missions with only audio playing. Please fix this and I will rate 5 stars. Samsung Galaxy S5

So i start the game and i build a few bases, its cool, alright. After a while i finally get a ground mission. Yes! I start the mission and... half of the map is black... at first i thought it was a fog of war thing, so i walk into it and im litterally walking on nothing. Then i zoom out and i see all these gray lines that look all broken, connected to each other appear over the black area, and having played enough games i knew it was a glitch. Will experiment more and rerate if i can fix it.

When you looking on world vie, the zoom doesn't' work, it should have tutorials for battles , and it's hard to look around the battlefield.

Every thing like x com version 80,$ great till you try and play it on your phone almost as bad as the new unfinished games that crash on console's just not made to react to your phone or tablet. One g to down load. And sllooows down when extra graphics like gas grenades. Explosions fine. Shooting great control awful.

It's great until you get into a battle. A few issues: 1. scrolling almost impossible without accidentally moving your troops - with disastrous consequences 2. battle view can't rotate, or at least I couldn't figure out how. This makes some areas hidden 3. can't turn troops without moving - this makes looking around for enemies much harder 4. can't save in battle - I understand the concept behind this - you can't reload when you don't like a shot - but battles take too long. I need to be able to stop after 5 min & come back later. Let me police my own ability to cheat. 5. glitches - invisible aliens shooting me at point blank range & I couldn't even take them out with grenades = mission gone bad I'd love to see some upgrades to the battle screen. That said, the game is playable without playing the battles, & still fun, so I'm still going to give it 4 stars.

This game is very addicting, when you start the game it tells you nothing, you just have to figure it out. They do give you a encyclopedia, not the most helpful but it does. The UI is not that good, however, unless you know what you are doing don't mess with the controls, they put them on nearly the best. PC version still best. My only issues are a few UI things, most of them are nice-to-haves but they turn 4 stars to 5. Fix controls and clean up UI, then 5 star.

I would give this game a higher rate if it wasn't so buggy. Its pinch zoom doesn't work, after making your base and going back to the world map its near impossible to select your base again, you cant see alien ships in flight, and the ground battles don't work it just skips them completely (which includes their skirmish mode)i had really high hopes for this game and it has a great base line, but the fact that these bugs make it impossible to play, if they fix it I'd rate it a 5 at this time I'd rate it 0

If only I could do enter mission it logs me out when I press enter so I must do auto mission please fix this

After game downloads all the patches I get force closed when it gets a quarter way to loading..every time.

This in one of my favorite games on pc, but the ui is terrible for mobile devices, untill the devs optimise the ui for mobile devices I would suggest to just stick to the pc version

I don't know how well this game plays on pc, but on android, it's pretty much impossible. It crashes, scrolling and zooming is difficult for several reasons without messing with the settings, the settings themselves are impossible to understand, being pc settings with a little touchscreen conversion programming thrown on top, the missions are difficult, even on super easy, and finally, the game is simply designed for a screen much larger than a smart phone. That said, it's fun, just not optimized.

It works pretty good till I try to goto ground based attack and all I see is a black screen with the little crosshair in it. I would love to see it optimized for Android. I love xcom, it's one of those classics you can't let go of.

I love the game. I used to play it on my Lynix box, until I got fedup with the continual in-game crashing and eventually abandoned it. Gave it a try on my HTC-One and the same ...bummer. It is very well thought out and detail oriented. The only thing better than this game was X-COM, back in the day. Keep working fellas, I can't wait to play a stabilized product. Would even pay for the final version, especially for my Laptop.

The instructions on how to play is terribe. Because there are no instructions. I dont even know how to start a mission. Looking at the photos this game is like the board game RISK, but worse. If you installed this on your phone, uninstall now.

It tries to connect to SourceForge to get more files, but fails. Dev should come up with a better downloading platform.

Just like xcom, but easier to handle. Now my tablet is an alien-war command.

I can't progress in the game because when the aliens attack one of my bases, it always force closes in 2-5 minutes.

PLEASE UPDATE GAME! Lots of crashes on my galaxy note 12.2

Main problem is when Im wanting to scroll around I end up shooting my own guy's. Other bugs present. Not bad a game though. Still not xcom though haha

This game crashes a lot hope this is fixed or a bit simplified so it wont eat up ram space a lot..i cant do manually missions so its a bit of a bummer
