2014: Battling droids and using lifts is impossible with these controls. The game is unplayable. Control sensitivity needs to be configurable or made digital. 2017 update: still crap.

I was an avid fan of this game back in the C64 days and when I saw this, I just had to download it and play it. The control of the robot is just about the. However, in the takeover phase, it's near impossible to play properly due to the positioning of the control meaning you end up blocking important parts of the screen, plus the response is far too sensitive to be of much use. Will try this again when that pay had been tgiught through further. Look forward to playing it when fixed.

Near perfect conversion of old C64 game let down by terrible laggy controls. Ship navigation is bad enough but transfer sub-game is rendered impossible by laggy controls.

It's a fantastic remake. Moves great. Shoots like the original. My only beef with it , is the controls. A selection of different types would help. D-PAD system would help on menus rather than the one thats in place now to make transfer easier for you selectors.

Very good, just needs the controls sorting, also in the orginal the droid takeover game could be switched off.

Brings back memories

One of my old favourite games of Paradroid, ruined here by terrible controls. Everything else is there but unplayable because of controls.

I was so pleased to see this in the play store, paradroid was one of my favourite c64 games and graphically this is spot on, but the controls make it unplayable, especially when trying a druid take over. Fix the controls and 5 stars for sure.

Controls are seriously lacking. Makes game all but unplayable. Pity cause it is a good version of the classic game. Please fix control issues asap.

I didnt get it how the controls work. How to control the takeover? How to even exit the game? I loved the original on Amiga500.

Of course the game itself is a timeless classic, one of the very few games humans will enjoy no matter how advanced the gaming technology goes. But you do need physical buttons to play it, touch screen is not suitable for this jewel.

The controls are almost impossible to use. Check out "PARAnoid anDROID" by BDDT for a rewrite of this game specifically for Android.

I loved this game back when I was nine or ten. It's just as good 30years later.

This is a really fun game. If you like those classic computer style games. Excellent controls in my opinion. I don't know what's up with all these negative reviews. I'd highly recommend this game

Controls are too sensitive and a bit frustrating. Looking forward to fixes for that.

Been waiting for paradroid on android for ages! Game plays well and is almost identical to the original (apart from the sound). For me control of the droid is fine but the transfer stage control is very difficult. You cant select the right line easily snd you waste a lot of time. Maybe try a touch screen control for this (simply touch the line you want to light up)? Cant wait for this to be fixed! Thanks to the developer!

I playable as controls don't work accurately

Excited to see this. However currently it's very hard to control, making it almost unplayable. Hoping that can be improved.

Thanks for making this great old game. I agree. About the take over screen beeing hard to controle but think the original was much the same and took fine joystick control. Seems harder then before even when using my ps3 pad. Could increase the fire rate? Keep it coming. ;-)

Controls are way too sensitive. Want to shoot robots not transfer. Collision is average. Robot makes human crying when dying. Transfer game horrible due to poor control. Game needs tweaks and could be great with a little work.

This game would be great if the controls actually worked for menus and for taking over other droids. They are so sensitive that the game is unplayable. I just spent 3 minutes trying to select the Back option on a single menu. So frustrating, and even more so because the graphics are so close to the genuine article. Fix the controls and it would be 5 star quality.

Hard to control. The robot not to bad but take over very hard. Need different type for take over. I love it though been waiting for this one for ages, thanks.

Great to see one of my all time favourite C64 games on Android. Moving around the ship is straight forward enough. The transfer game is a bit fiddly but by no means impossible. The lift control is a pain as it's way too sensitive. It almost turns into a game all by itself to see how many tries it takes to get the right deck. Adding lives to this version would be a nice addition along with save your progress. It would be nice to be able to turn the music off though. I prefered the original minimal sound.

...but not quite there yet with the controls. Directional control either doesn't pick up my touch or is way too oversensitive - ok for steering the droid but hopeless for menus and combat screen. Need to be able to make smaller precise movements on these screens. Glad you're making this though, great game - love the graphics and music!

Works really good on my Samsung galaxy discover. Controls are just like I remember. Not so good on my Samsung tab 3. Controls are very skittish

Tried playing this on a UG007 Android stick with a PS3 controller over USB - which maps to standard directional controls - and this port doesn't detect any movement at all. Otherwise, could turn out pretty good and I'll be keeping an eye on it!

Great music, graphics close to the original, but the controls are simply bad.

Big props for putting this game on here but the touch screen controls really don't work well enough. Unplayable on phone form factor. Uninstalled
