About Pathfinder Adventures

Pathfinder Adventures, the digital adaptation of Paizo Inc.'s Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, translates the world's best-selling Pathfinder Roleplaying Game into an entirely new breed of card game, where players cooperatively battle monsters and villains, and acquire new feats, items, weapons and allies.

Role-players will find the game's character development very familiar. Characters have classes such as fighter, wizard, and rogue, as well as numbers that define strength, dexterity, intelligence, etc. You'll improve your character by acquiring new items, allies, spells, and weapons as you explore and overcome challenges; over time, you'll be able to customize your deck to better suit your own individual vision of your character.

The game can be played solo, or with other adventurers using built-in pass-and-play functionality.

Pathfinder Adventures is free to download and play, however, some game items can be purchased for real money. If you don't want to use this feature, please disable in-app purchases in your device's settings.

A network connection is required to earn in game currency during play.

FEATURES:
• Explore the towns, cities, dungeons and landscapes of the Rise of the Runelords campaign, including the fiercely-independent Sandpoint and the goblin-infested isle of Thistletop.
• Every locale has been transformed from a card image to beautifully enhanced and animated backdrops.
• Reactive cut scenes featuring Pathfinder's iconic characters.
• An interactive tutorial ensures the game is easy to learn for new adventurers and veterans of the Pathfinder universe alike.
• No physical card game set-up required. Pathfinder Adventures gets players straight into the action.
• Multiple adventure profiles so that players can experience the campaign using every character.
• Single player and pass-and-play multiplayer gameplay mode.

Quest mode is the best way to play the game and the devs want to get rid of it. If it happens my review will fall accordingly. Suggestions: *Making the timer be 40 minimum for the 6 hero runs. It's way too hard at 30 and while using 4 heroes it feels easiest. *Adding a deckbuilding and card storage screen for story mode. *Adding the option for experience levelling instead of completion levelling for story mode *Having rotating discounts and sales in the store, and having discounts for costumes when already owning the character.

It has much potential. But it is buggy. Highlighted areas are not exactly there where they should be, after using ability heal then the next card wont turn it up, you have to restart, stucking on screens. Many small things which are killing the game. I would love to send you a few screens about the bugs. But i don't know where.

I've had a number of issues since i started playing, and its been a drawn out affair. They are soon going to remove Quest Mode, almost half the game and give very little in compensation to players. The advertising still lies... THERE IS NO MULTIPLAYER yet they continue to advertise it as a multiplayer game... deceitful... So much dodgy stuff happening. Come back in a year....

This game, is the card game equivalent of playing a Pathfinder game with a GM who constantly changes the rules so he can try to TPK the party every week. If you are looking for a game that is fair, challenging, and enjoyable, THIS ISN'T IT. If you like cutting yourself and slamming your fingers in a car door for fun, then this game is for you.

The games random number generator is broken. There is no curve on dice rolls at all. It is completely unrealistic to roll 12 dice and 11 of them are 1's. Yes that has happened more than once. Not to mention the random mob death roll that constantly rolled a 1 6 times in a row denying me the win. That is completly unrealistic and shows an isdue with the programming..

Ran into the problem of starting characters in quest mode then moving them over to the story mode. But I have unlocked too many card powers which will not let me pass the victory portion of a quest reward screen. No options to skip past broke the game for me...

I really enjoy this game! Having had no exposure to the game it is based off of, it plays very nice. ONLY downfall is that I could send it to my Nvidia Shield to install but cannot play it on there as there is no controller support...Please fix???

Great game, some cards act funny. Blessings may or may not adjust if the ability being used changes. Muck Graul is completely broken and can ruin entire adventures.

It really isn't as complicated as people make it out to be, and you can acquire most everything through in game currency with grinding. Great game and scratches my tabletop itch!

One of my favorite games ever. The only problem with it is ive hit a point during the quests where it tells me to do an upgrade when all my upgrades are filled and the game makes me go to that screen and choose an upgrade before i can move on but i cant choose anything so it gets stuck

D70%
by D####:

I'll admit the systems appears complicated at first, but it really isn't. Once you figure it out the game runs very fluid. If you're a fan of paper & dice RPGs, then this game is for you. It also has a unique story layout that can vary from time to time and responds around the characters in your party as well.

RNG is rigged. Dice rolls are always on the lower end. Discarded a Blessing + a dagger, + Sneak, and 9/10, I will ALWAYS lose against that 9d Goblin. Not recommended for being rigged. Will still try to go through it because it's free, but I don't think I'm buying anything off the store. (Was sincerely planning to. I love Obsidian in general.)

Unrealistic dice rolls. Use the power ups and more often than not ya just roll one's

W70%

Buggy. I love the actual game, when it works. I've had many games get an in invalid state where I couldn't do anything but concede. Finally, one game caused my heroes to become corrupted and I had to start over near the end of the campaign. No thank you!

Lovely digital adaptation of the tabletop card game of a similar name. A few interactions are a little wonky and took me a little while to understand the first few play-throughs (drag the heroes to the starting areas, confirmation for a variety of actions while actively playing lack a dialog or prompt). Otherwise, a great way to enjoy the game single player, or even has support for passed play (quite a nice thought, but haven't used myself)

I somehow finished the prologue and I still have no idea how to play this. Where's my character sheet? I want to play an arcane trickster after level 7, can I do that? Why am I playing a card game? Is this an RPG or Yu-Gi-Oh?

D70%
by D####:

So many bugs.. the game forces you to create a new party when too many cards got banished to have a legal deck, and the scenario rewards screen is bugged too.. Apart from that it's a pretty good game

I immediately enjoyed this so much, I went out and bought the box game (skulls and shackles). Played a scenario with my wife and daughter and they both also enjoyed it. Looking forward to playing more. I hope they bring this to PC soon.

Sometimes the dice rolls are just sad out of five dice 3 ones come up.. come who rolls that bad consently. .other than that fun...and functional. ..

Not for a lot of people because the learning curve is steep. I've played the actual board game so I was able to pick up the app version easier. I like the game a lot. It's given me a better understanding of the actual game rules too.

D70%
by D####:

Great game. Don't let it confuse you. After prologue you will not understand a lot of things. Use tutorial or help option in menu to read all rules and terms. Then you will understand almost all aspects of this game.

I like d&d, i like the feel of the game, but not even 3 days after installing i was logged out. Any and all attempts to log back in kicked me out, and all my hard earned gold was gone, as apparently is the money i paid. Weird thing is, my story progression is still there. Fix this issue, get me my gold back, and i'll rate it better.

No custom characters possible, only prebuilt characters which is hugely disappointing. Otherwise functional but rather 1 dimensional RPG. Card placement being registered is a bit unreliable but not terrible.

by D####:

Top Dungeons&Dragons-style RPG-adaption. Character modification possibilities are great, due to customizable decks, addit. features & acquirable skills. Even the character levels need to be earned instead of just bought. The artwork is not high-res top-notch, but charming enough to don't spoil anything. Storylines run a bit short, but therefore the scenarios offer a wide variation of different quest objectives and winning conditions in even a single mission. Alongside the story mode, the quest mode allows you to face endless randomly generated scenarios to earn advancement achievements, premium currency & levels with unlocked characters. The best about it: All current content can be earned solely by playing, don't have to spend a single dime! Would be even greater if you could generate one character on your own where you decide class, stats and starting features/powers. Even w/o character generation this will be a favorite for any D&D-fan!

Good graphics, and if you like deck builder games, you'll probably like this one. I wanted something like Pathfinder, the role playing game, and I hate this mess.

D70%
by D####:

Good game, but far too many bugs. Especially in the later adventures, you'll run into something broken basically every other game

D70%
by D####:

Too many bugs. And one that couldn't allow me to just play more than the tutorial... It could be a good game but not before some time.

There is a lot going on, so it can be tough to pick up. But, it's worth spending the time to learn.

Unable to restore purchases in current version! If you're sitting on the fence about buying the card game, then try this version. Watch a couple of videos on how to play and dive in. If you think I'd say get this over buying the physical set.

WHO TIMED THIS GARBAGE. When you do damage equalling Hitpoints it dies not 1 or better over. I payed for characters because starters are straight crap, more you have in a party the dumber combat gets. Fix em and I will play it. I have played ADD, Pathfinder and many others. This is a ripoff so far. Why is the adventure i such a hurry, really ... DM has no where to go. 1 week then I am doing a Tweet and Facebook ban if not fixed. This is the only game where with luck I finally beet 1st mission.

After the first quest it gave me a free chest. I tried to open it and it suddenly told me I had to pay to open my free chest. That is by definition NOT FREE. Also I keep taking max damage from fights that I won, WTF!? 30 actions isn't enough to finish a quest unless you're very lucky. The starting characters are terrible. One only gets their skill when they're solo, and the other has to have a damage dealer to heal. Tutorial was poorly designed and didn't explain things well. Hard to tell so far, but it looks like the majority of the game is locked behind pay walls. You have to be connected to the internet 100%of the time despite it only being single player. Also they REALLY harass you at every turn to give them real money.

B70%
by B####:

My biggest complaints are simply in the forced rolls both for things that I cannot pass, and those that I cannot fail. Please incorporate a way to skip dice rolls, or auto results.

D70%
by D####:

Excellent boardgame conversion with complex strategy and rewarding RPG elements. No paywalls and exceptional replay value. Possibly my favourite ever Android Game.

D70%
by D####:

The tutorial was trying to tell you what to do, gave itself no space to explain things, and then wrapped it up with inconsistent button placements for rolls (core part of the game by the way), killing something didn't kill it, or maybe it did, and bosses all have cloning abilities. Confusing, and badly paced.

Q70%
by Q####:

Tutorial was incomprehensible and overwhelming. Couldn't even get past as it seemed hopeless to understand how to play.

T70%
by T####:

Very good, just like the boardgame but without the 20 mins setup for each adventure. Wanted to buy some dlc to support the devs but the pricing model is outrageous for a mobile game so instead they get nothing and loose a star on my review.

D70%
by D####:

This game is to confusing and gives you characters that are too weak to even do anything when it comes to fighting forcing you to buy characters to even play they should if just made it a buy able game sitar of this pay to win crap

U70%
by U####:

Play the starter scenario, and if you like that, absolutely buy the complete pack. There is so much to love about this game. Just the right mix of random elements and skill elements, different interactions with the characters in story cutscenes, skillfully animated and programmed.

P70%
by P####:

Impossible to complete the initial tutorial because can't move things to where they need to go. Broken game

D70%
by D####:

So I have to give it a 4 because there is nothing to describe why I can't pass and play with my friend. If I figure that out, I'll fix my score.
