THE STORY GAME:
“The President 2012” is an Interactive Fiction story that takes place right after the 2012 U.S. Presidential Elections. You are now the President and must decide which decisions you will make as a wide range of urgent issues present themselves to you and your Cabinet.
Sometimes your staff and Cabinet members will agree with your choices; at other times they won’t. Senators will oppose your choices to head up various government positions. Business leaders will fight you. America’s enemies will definitely test you.
THE CONCEPT:
Do you really think you’re a conservative? Are you more of an Independent? Fancy yourself a Liberal? The choices you make in “The President 2012” might reveal things about you that you never suspected!
•Each decision you make during the course of the play is tracked. At the end of play, your first day as President of the United States is rated, based on choices you made throughout the story, and you are notified what type of Commander in Chief you are: Liberal, Conservative, or Moderate.
•Don’t like the results? Play again, make different choices, and see how your new decisions rate you.
•The story game is Fun “learn while you play” interactive storytelling that examines important political, social, environmental, business, and personal issues of today.
STORY PLAY:
As the story progresses, more than a dozen situations are presented to you that each require you to make a decision. Your decisions move the story forward and rate your performance as President.

This app doesn't work properly which is a bad start. But it has simplistic game play that doesn't really make sense I wanted to like it and hoped it would be a good if but I was left quite disappointed

Too many times, games about the U.S. Presidency are about being elected to the office, but few deal with what happens after the election. That is what "The President - 2012" is about. While the idea is good, the execution did not live up to its promise. I will expand on that below: 1. The game has an obvious political slant, to the left. It is not just the political views of your Cabinet officers, that is to be expected, but certain left-wing assumptions the game makes about your character, sometimes out of the blue. Also, right-wing views are represented largely in caricature (the most egregious being during the Iran and health care decisions) whilst more thought is given to left and moderate answers. 2. The writing is uneven, with grammar mistakes in varying places and the narration appearing inside your character's speech box. 3. On a technical note this game has two large problems: First the text is often out of alignment with different speech boxes, becoming unreadable. Second, the game can freeze up at times, becoming unresponsive. The only solution I have found is exit and go back in until you get a "force close" error. In conclusion, I give this three stars.
