Minetest

I've decided to look for an alternative to Minecraft ever since some...monetization decisions regarding handling of user-created content. I think I've found what I've been looking for which is this game. What I love about this game is the customizability this offers in terms of modding. I had lots of fun trying to pick out mods to install in this game to tweak this game to my liking and I guess this is the charm of Minetest. My only minor gripe for this game so far is the d-pad being kinda small, and there needs to be an option to resize it.

Minetest is one of my favourite open source games, and with good reason. It's free, it has built-in modding capabilities, and creating servers won't put you to sleep. But this is probably why I prefer it over regular Minecraft: IT'S THE SAME AS THE PC VERSION. Like, the exact same. Almost no functionality was removed. But they should add more save slots in this version. Also add save slots.

The controls for me are very uncomfortable to use. They were too small in my tablet. Plus i would like some animals and to say the names of the items.

Controls are crappy. And there's no map for me to go off of. I had the map and better controls on multicraft

It is good but kind of boring. I prefer My ineCraft over this he.

It crashes alot.Certain mods don't work for the game.But it is still a good crafting game

Amazing alternative for minecraft but should add clothes instead of just all armour like skirts for girls sake!

Minetest is a great FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) voxel game, It's similar to Minecraft, but does not strive to be like it. Minetest has an official modding API, and It's quite easy to learn, as for people saying it isn't like Minecraft, it isn't supposed to be, the mobile controls leave a lot to be desired.

(1) This game cannot run on Android 4.4 (Kit Kat) devices. (2) I cannot change my password in multiplayer game. (3) This game automatically stops when it occurs errors. Please fix these bugs, thanks!

Few bugs here and there like not proper alignment of text(it goes outside the screen) etc. But it's good. Almost the same experience of playing Minetest on PC.

Awsome game but after the new update

I got this message that said "it's just like minecraft" than it exited out Same thing happened again !

Minetest on Android is superior to Minecraft PE. Multiplayer with desktop users! The controls are bigger and more comfortable. If it wasn't free, I would buy.

I can do all the thing just like minecraft be just don't have to pay for it.

Crashes before I can even play it. If this is fixed and I can actually try it then I'll see about upping the rating. Fix ASAP

Totally wonderful, same version on all platforms(Linux,android,windows)!!!!! I can play any server!!!

Only partial keyboard and mouse support, which would make this awesome for Android enabled Chromebooks. I might do my own port of the Linux PC version.
