Doodlecast for Chromecast

Even as a fast-access whiteboard, this is excellent. We did have a glitch with user names and a repeat word or two. I love that it *doesn't* keep score. The thrill should be in getting the idea across, not vanquishing an opponent, IMHO. This app is what tech is supposed to do.

For some reason, I couldn't see all the controls on my screen so there was no way to go to the next word without skipping. So score keeping would have to be manual. And I saw no options to change screen size.

Good as a whiteboard, needs keyboard so you can use letters maybe some templates

Lots of fun for a group. Wish there was the option to have a full keyboard instead of a small subset of letters.

This app is simple and fun. Good way to quickly throw something interactive up on the chromecast for family and friends. Though I agree the app could be much more, I'm not sure it needs to be. What I would love to have, and believe is necessary because I am sentimental, is a better way of saving fun or sweet drawings. The shareable link only redirects to app store for app DL and I would love to save (via google photos) and use my family's drawings on the chromecast. Right now I'm limited to screen shots. :/

Downloaded it just to mess with my kids while they were watching TV (cast it to the TV and write them a message). They cracked up. Then we played for well over an hour and played a couple more times after that since then. We were just guessing but then I got an old phone so kids could play and I could have mine back and the 2 phone functionality is pretty cool where you can guess from the additional phones.

I like having an interactive game like this for my family to enjoy. However, we found it confusing and difficult when the "winner" was announced, but 2 out of 3 of us had the same screen name. It would be nice to pick our names for the game. Also, more words to choose from would be of benefit.

No dev support. I love this game. Simple and SO much fun. Awesome the fact that its a multiplayer game. Easy words, there are time when a player can guess the word without anything being drawn yet so the full keyboard would be a better option. It would be nice if I could keep track of a score. New words needed. Awesome game!

Fun for lots of players for a long time :) However, a scoring system with leaderboard seems like a requirement (and is the missing 5th star.) Choosing your own username would also be helpful when people borrow devices from one person, and then all 3 devices have their Google account name.

Fun app, good for a wide range of ages... but where does it get the device name from? I'd like to know how to change that. A few if my family members' names come up as "player 7" and other numbers.

Needs more words, though. Improvements ideas: Make it possible to change player name. And if you are typing a word and another player guess before you, and you are next to draw, then you often pick a random word on the list to draw - not nice.

Best of the Chromecast enabled games. This is immediate fun for everyone. It gives hours of fun though it does have it's own problems. Perhaps a better dictionary with a way to increase vocabulary difficulty. The drawing could be better served with tools for oval and rectangles. This doesn't have to rely on the Pictionary idea so much that it couldn't be better than the original. I endorse the idea of being able to create your own words and a time limit (as an option).

The beginnings of a great app! Feels like its in beta right now though. I seriouly hope the devs are building on this. Gladly pay once theres some sound, player names, and scoring.

Very basic game. Doesnt have a scoring system. Text input a bit difficult; would rather see a normal keyboard.

It dosent work

Sometimes we use it for the game aspect. But I usually use it as a simple whiteboard for homeschooling. The interface is simple. This app just gets it done and I like that.

Love this game.. can be really fun however, there is definitely some much needed updates that just arent happening. Im hoping either someone comes out with this but better or the developers listen to the reviews and update.

Wish it could keep score. Use the keyboard instead of putting letters there, sometimes I can just guess the word by not even looking at what is being drawn. But it's pretty fun simple game.

This is great, my son really loves it. But it needs Multi touch support. Touching with multiple fingers causes it to glitch out.

Loving this app as we were all able to play together. Scoreboard and Timer would be great additions. Option to remove the letters to increase complexity would be also great. Any chance of an update soon?

I would go 5 stars if you added more coloures, a fill can,language change because im english and its american and scoring

Zero complaints. An extremely stable app. Tons of fun. Drawing sensitivity is very precise on both phones and tablets. We routinely play with 4+ players at once.

Would be better with full keyboard and score tracking. Maybe even a timer. Played with 4 peopel and it was smooth, a little big of temporary lag but nothing major

Could do with a bigger library of words, after a couple of sessions there's lots of repeats. Good fun other than that though.

It's a nice idea however it's missing some much needed features. This game would be greatly improved if there was a countdown clock and scorekeeping. I would also prefer if the full keyboard was available to the person doing the guessing. Also I find typing the answer goes against the natural urge to shout out the answer.

Awesome app and a great idea. One question I have is, where does it get a players name from? When I join a game it gets my name totally wrong and I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling and it still thinks I'm someone else... Cheers!

You could really play for a few minutes or hours. Just doodling and have others guess and often laugh at your ridiculous drawings of things :) Timer, score card, teams would be nice additional options though.

More words, ability to change name, change difficulty, add timer, increase number of letters avail (sometimes we guess words before picture even shows)

Fun game with a group. Would be nice to be able to change player names. Score keeping would be nice too, but not a big deal not having it. Did have a few problems with devices disconnecting from time to time.

Other players can't join in ... TV always displays "Waiting for players ... " at bottom left corner. Other multiplayer Chromecast apps work fine though.

We used to love this app. Great fun with friends and family . Now freezes on startup. Will switch to 5 stars if it works again. FIXED...THANKS!!!!!

It worked really well except for two things. If you were entering a word while someone else won, and you were up next, it was very easy to pick the next word accidentally. Also scoring would be great.
