Chess Tactics Pro (Puzzles) for Android
The ELO rating in progress mode is faulty. I was given a puzzle at 1650, then reset my progress to 1400 and was given the same exact puzzle.
Awesome quick puzzles of varying difficulty.... the hint feature helps u out when u r stuck. Teaches a lot of new tactics
Just ok. Good practice. But not revolutionary
This is very good app and I hope it launch new features for better learnings.
Awesome puzzles...I've been searching for this kind of game and I finally found the best in it.
Less no. of puzzles
Excellent app to speed up my tactics.
nice and simple puzzles
Great interesting games
Had to lower the score because i came across a few examples that made no sense, like one where i could mate but instead it expected me to sacrifice my queen. A short explanation of the end position would be useful, otherwise the point of the move is lost, and the tactics are useless.
While the app is a very good one for tactical training, the puzzles are artificial, obviously computer generated ones, because computers tend to "think" that chess is a game of "who captures more pieces", sometimes neglecting the overall strategical side of the game. This puts the player in the position to guess what the computer thinks would be the best or next move, instead of really finding a move that could be the best for the given tactical and strategical situation on the board. As a consequence, excepting the end game situations, in the puzzles it is impossible to use the common practice method of assessing the threats and acting accordingly.
I've tried a few tactics trainers and this is the best. I like the varying skill levels and modes (daily, puzzle, progress). Will improve your game
A good clean chess problem, without being showy or overusing resources. Just the game itself, to engage the brain.
New, free, entertaining, non repetitive puzzles everyday with 300 more in its library! What more could you ask from a free app. Keep up the awesome work!
Very good... shows me how bad I am at chess
Excellent app, best I've ever seen in that category. Many thanks to developers!
Best tactics trainer around. The progress mode is especially fun and informative on rating one's skill level. Thank you for a challenging chess app!
It's useful for beginners but not for people who have been learning chess since a long time
I hate popups on an app, this is why im ditching android for the new nokia 3310!
Nothing too challenging, which is probably why it is free-ish.
Been Using this App for a Long time. Finally time I gave it. It's due
Playing easy puzzles. Interesting puzzles, good hint system. Moves lack explanation, which is a good thing.
First puzzle on medium the King moves to a block under attack.
I can't know if I completed a puzzle or not.
Muy Buena app para iniciados e intermedios. Con una calidad muy decente si tenemos en cuenta lo que pagamos por la aplicación. Recomendable.
There should be some sort of tutorial to use in order to use the app and all its funtions efficiently
Nice way to spend some free time. Very helpful with honing process and logical reason skills used in mathematics.
My daily pills for IQ.It helps to revamp your strategy while playing chess.
Brilliant! Has really improved my game & critical skills in a very short time.
Sometimes it says the problem is a "Mate in Three" when it really is "Find the best move".
Few moves doesn't make sense the computer makes.
New to game but it gets the brain going
Puzzle number 2 in Easy is incorrect.
Good for passing by small amounts of time while improving your chess game
Gots good tactics to use in real games with a tough player
Very good for blitz preparation.
Brilliant! I love feature that I can play after puzzle.
Tons of great tactics to keep you sharp.
A good repitoire of offline puzzles to play around with.

Well designed app. It excels at exactly what it's intended purpose is: middle game tactics and endgame practice. It's not overly fancy on the graphics. But then, it doesn't need to be. Great job with the expansion packs. Affordable and extensive for continued practice and growth.
