About Hactar Go Lite
Go is ancient strategy game with simple rules. Best way to learn go is thru game of capture-go.
Hactar Lite can play capture-go with you. Hactar Lite also lets you try go at beginner level in 9x9 board.
You can subscribe to engines playing at 5 kyu or 3 dan level.
Hactar contains over 410 go problems (tsumego). You can also add your own collections easily, or download additional 400 problem with few clicks.
Hactar GO can be used to view and record go games in SGF format. Hactar supports variations and setup stones.
It is possible to search games in device for position or players.
Differences between Hactar Go full version and Hactar Go Lite:
1. Full version has go opponent for 13x13 and 19x19 boards (subscription in Lite).
2. Full version has internet game search (subscription in Lite).

BUT i have a collection that shows each games 2ce. One has the sgf name that one loads the one that does not have the sgf name under it wil not. Bothersome at even 100 games. List of games sometimes shows black player as white visaversa. Does not indicate who won unless loading game then into info. five stars. Only see first game in list of multi but can search patterns. Oh and names in game show small letters even though case sensitive... ad markup kills multi sgf. Need ignore folder set on scan sgf.

I have always struggled at trying to figure out GO until I found this app. The tutorials are easy to follow and the challenges are great for understanding the basics of the game. It will be a very long time before I can play at even a moderate level, but this has at least given me a start. I highly recommend for anyone that wants to learn, or hone their skills at GO.

Probably worth 2 dollars just for the SGF editor alone. (best SGF ed for mobile I know of) The problems are first rate, though frustrating sometimes. Capture go is more of a novelty to me, and the playing strength is questionable, good for learning the game, I guess. The "beginner" go 9x9 game is much stronger than I expected. Wish there was a 13x13 or 19 beginner level, but very good anyway.

this seems to be one of the best go app in market in its price range (for full version). I downloaded the lite version only for deciding to buy or not buy the full version. But in this lite version, i cant figure out wht will i get with purchasing the full version. Lite version has nearly enough options for capture-go; but for playing go, the only option is to play on a 9x9 board with beginner level. I should see the whole options before buying (maybe grayed out items, or items with blocked for actions). Yes the app description says something about wht i ll get with full version, but only fact is that i will have only 15mins to test it, so it s natural to ask to see them in lite version. Thanks..

Popspective Excellent for beginner... When u pass through each level u can pretty much learn new skills and tactic. I also love the replay function. Highly recommend for beginner.. this gets me addicted and have been playing everyday
