Simon Tatham's Puzzles for Android
I've spent a lot of time with Simon Tatham's puzzle collection on my computer over the years; its implementation of Minesweeper alone makes the entire collection with keeping around. This Android port can't quite compete with the mouse-driven interface on a desktop, but it makes up for that with go-anywhere convenience. Highly recommended.
Absolutely LOVE the app. Has nearly 40 diff puzzle games, each with diff hardness levels. Some classics and some I never knew. Can select super hard, but I usually pick med as something I can complete during a break or waiting in line. Awesome way to keep my brain fit. I never write reviews but I had to TY, TY, TY for this app.
Nothing comes close for this genre in apps, PC games, magazines, or books. Actually MORE than 39 different puzzle types, as many have multiple variations and difficulty levels. Nothing to buy, no ads, and an infinite supply of puzzles. Wishlist: Nurikabe, Battleship, Easy as ABC, Kakuro. Get this app and "100 Logic Games" and you're set. In TENTS, player should be able to mark WALLS between cells in addition to placing tents
This is by far one of my favorites!! I've only played a handful of the games, but they are exactly simple enough and challenging enough for me! (I think all the games have various difficulty levels you can set.) If you like INTERESTING, thoughtful games, check this collection out!! (It's a collection of many games, actually.)
Loved it for years on the PC, this port is full-featured and the genre of mini-puzzles is actually better suited to mobile so that it's stealing time from your bus ride rather than your work. And steal time it does, there's a lot to chew on here.
I never write reviews but I have to for this. This lightweight and smooth app has been on many devices for me now. I keep coming back to it, it just works. I don't find some of the games fun but there is enough variety that I can always find something I'm in the mood for. In a world of flashy graphics and pay to win, the classics can't be beat.
Good thing you understand that all of these puzzles can be generated. Most apps here have a fixed amount of levels, which is kind of dumb for these kind of puzzles. Thanks for making this! Now I don't have to ;)
Infinite customisable masyu? Already need it. And Inertia is great! Sudoku, minesweeper and picross just keep adding to the experience. This app is one of the best logic puzzle apps I have ever used, i plan on learning to play some of the ones I don't know how to play but honestly just those 5 alone being infinite and highly customisable make for a 5 star app for me
An excellent puzzle collection, free and quite varied (with simple but appropriate graphics). I enjoy it immensely. This is the first time I've ever bothered to review something. Top marks to all involved!
Every game in this collection is excellent. The instructions are very clear, and it only takes a few minutes to learn each one. They're infinitely replayable, and if you get bored there's always a new one to try out.
simple. free. smooth. 34 great and classic games in one. 1.60 MBs I mean you cant ask for anything better This is better than all modern greedy ( full of ads ) games. seriously , great job.
This is THE go-to app for puzzle games! Here are some pros I'd like to mention: * This collection of puzzles beats pretty much all apps out there in depth, given the number of puzzles and configurations for each. * The puzzles are "smart". They will point out what is incorrect as you make your move, making solving less frustrating. * The app is very optimized and lightweight; it will not burn through your phone's battery. * The app is completely free! It doesn't ask for microtransactions, and it doesn't make the player wait as a freemium model would. Ultimately, this app will keep your brain engaged for hours!
Ever since I found these puzzles on my Ubuntu computer, I've fallen in love with them. The entire ad-free pack of over 30 different kinds of puzzles is now on my phone, and my first choice for a game when I'm bored.
I have played this puzzle collections for a long time. Now I can finally bring it with me to play anywhere. This contains various puzzles, each one is different from the next; some are popular, some are less so, but interesting and challenging nevertheless. There are detail explanation for each puzzle, including difficulty configuration. Some puzzles have several difficulty options to suit your liking. And all puzzles are generated randomly so you can keep playing forever. Did I mention it's also ad-free?
Really!? Is nothing ever allowed to be random now, for fear of offending someone? Social justice warrior much. For the record, I'm deeply offended by the word 'puzzle'. It goes against my religion, and I look forward to the next update where this app is renamed to not use that deeply despicable word.
The best puzzles app. Variety of puzzles... various difficulty levels... no undue permissions required. Works offline as well. No annoying Ads. What else you can ask for! Cheers
Great game, never get tired of playing them. So many games within the pack, that I never get bored playing with. What's more, it's ads free! Totally love it!
I love these logic puzzles. Glad they're finally available for android. It may not be the smoothest graphics, but the games themselves are my favorites by far.
Best puzzle app I have found, and only game I will never get rid off! Thanks! Edit: the only thing i would like tot see added, is an option to show the time while solving the puzzles, as I can lose track of time and spend hours playing... ;)
The best game i have on my phone. The only one i never uninstall. Actual good puzzles unobstructed by unnecessary graphics and a small file size for what you are getting. Excellent!
If you like puzzles, no reason not to get it. The graphics and controls are sub-par, but it has a huge variety of fun puzzles, completely free and ad-free.
I have three different versions of this app (generic Windows, Windows AppStore, and of course this Android version) on various devices, and it's great, both for what it has and for what it hasn't got (no ads, no having to be online, no purchases, no reaching the last level of a puzzle). I would like to see a few more puzzles (such as the Colour Bridge puzzle) added, if of course levels for those can be generated by algorithm. Still, with nearly 40 different puzzles included already, this is a great app to while away a few minutes -- or several hours. I would recommend this to any puzzle fan.
A great and fairly wide set of interesting puzzles. A couple of them aren't very well-suited for touchscreen interface but they all work very well.
Superb collection of puzzles, well-implemented. Some of them can be customized for structure and difficulty in many ways, so this app is really somewhere between 38 puzzles and 38 _collections_ of puzzles.
Eliminate, discriminate, interpolate. Every one of these puzzles challenges you're ability to reason. It even contains an offshoot of minesweeper wherein you never have to gamble. Now I'm addicted, sooooo, recommended.
Strangely enough it claims to require NFC access. Mistake? Then please remove that privilege.
Really nice variety of games. Would love to have some sort of leaderboards saved locally for main presets.
Controls are easy enough to grasp, and if not, the help manual is great. Love love love this app, I play it all the time on the commute or when I can't fall asleep.
This app is fantastic. I wish there were more apps like this one for everything I looked up on the android marketplace
Best puzzles ever, and I've only played 2 so far, Filler and Keen. I wish I'd never given any other game 5 stars so I could rate this one higher! No ads, play offline... Fantastic! THANK YOU!
All of my favourite puzzles in one place. The visuals are a bit out dated but clean, simple, and user friendly.
A wonderful collection of so many fun n entertaining puzzle games. The custom feature, show solution feature, vast variety of settings and everything else makes the game so amazing. A must try for puzzle lovers. Although I want many more games in so it feels like a packed app altogether.
Free, lightweight, stable, clean and loaded with options, what an amazing contribution to the app community. Thanks for keeping this pure and the way it should be. Love it!
Absolutely must have. Puzzles are all randomly generated and have variable difficulty. Best game/s i ever downloaded.
BEST puzzle game (collection) ever. It's free. It's randomly generated (infinite levels). Most importantly, every puzzle have only one unique solution and requires no guessing (even the original minesweeper on windows still needs some guessing work, but not this).
The original and best logic puzzle collection, completely free, no adverts, and really well made. Goes to show that it is possible to have excellent games without IAP or even adverts!
Undead keeps crashing for me within seconds of opening. Then the app restarts, and opens back up to undead, only to re-enter the cycle of crashing and opening repeatedly. Please fix this!
The customizability, ease of use, lack of ads, multitude of games, and randomly generated puzzles makes this the best app, by far, for any puzzler. My only complaint is that within Black Box, there is no option to automatically fire the laser beams after generating a puzzle. But even this is very minor and only begins to show itself in the larger grids. 10/10 overall and in almost every category. Thanks for this amazing app, and I look forward to the future of it!
I got this app almost a year ago and I still play it often. I like the new puzzle, Palisade, but I think the line color contrast needs adjusted. The green lines should be more distinguishable from the gray lines in day mode, since groups of connected squares are more important than they were in Loopy. Right now it's hard to tell how many squares I already have in each group.

Excellent app! So much content for a minimal puzzle platform. My Samsung Galaxy Core Prime runs smoothly with no stutters whatsoever. The games range from familiar platforms to new and interesting puzzles. Controls make sense and offer usage to a broad range of users. My only critique is that some of the more onscure games (such as range and black box) have some lacking instructions. Perhaps a review on instructions or informative videos may aid.
