Yōdanji: The Roguelike for Android
Love roguelikes, but unsure why this game was rated so highly. Makes sense no free trial is available, because the few of us who purchased it probably wouldn't have had we been able to try it first. It's an admirable effort for someone's first game, but there are way, WAY better roguelikes out there that are 100% free with no ads that operate on an optional donation model. (e.g. Shattered Pixel Dungeon) Yodanji has weaker mechanics, visuals, and overall gameplay. When comparing it to what feels like a more honest approach from alternatives, it's hard not to feel a bit scammed by the forced purchase to try it out. With about 100 "purchases" at this time of writing, it makes sense the first few are so positive from the game's creators and circle of friends. I don't enjoy leaving harsh reviews, but feel compelled to get some honest reviews out there for others considering purchasing. If Yodanji's developers want to ease their guilt, I suggest offering a free trial with an option to activate additional features via purchase.
Brutal roguelike with a nice retro aesthetic. Still trying to figure out how to unlock a character... That could be a little better explained. Worth checking out nonetheless.
This game blows away the roguelike competition. It's hard. It's replayability is unparalleled and the UI is crisp and readable. There are so many classes to try I think I may have found the game that I've been searching for. Thanks kemco
A classic roguelike with good additions to mix things up. The setting is a huge plus, it sets it apart from other roguelikes on Android. I like the fact that each character has their own skill set, it makes them feel distinct. The graphics are nice and the music is enjoyable, and I really like the additional art and lore for each character. Well worth the price.
Perfect roguelike - lovely old-school graphics. Nice to see Kemco trying something different.
Interesting lore and aesthetic. Favorite rougelike on Android so far.
Love this! Was not expecting a roguelike from Kemco.
I've been waiting for a Mystery Dungeon type game and this one fits the bill. Insanely difficult but so satisfying. I also love the folklore; a really nice touch!
If you're into Japanese folklore, this game really surprised me with the creativity of the developer's implementation. I love it!
Easily the worst kemco title I've played. It's so dull and lifeless

A hard, challenging game, as a roguelike should be. Each class has wildly different abilities and ways of playing, and it takes skill and honestly a good amount of luck to get through the dungeons. The japanese lore behind gives it a refreshing air, and I've found it hard to not be glued to the game, trying to improve!! So far, I'm really enjoying the tricky ways of a Nekomata, and I can't wait to try out more! The developer responds to issues and implements new features quickly, and this has blown other games out of the water to me. It's been worth the money and I can't wait to see what more comes to it!
