The main character, Lidim, works in a weapon shop in the capital of Alfria.
He accidentally overhears secret negotiations between two countries.
As Alfria doesn't agree to become a colony of the powerful Epsilom Empire, an envoy of Epsilom, who is also a witch, uses an unknown weapon to destroy Lidim's home village as a demonstration of power.
Witnessing the tragedy, Lidim loses his temper and assaults an important figure from the Empire...
■Rather than using leveling system based on classes, characters in this game gain in strength and attributes after each enemy encounter.
If a character relies mainly on weapons to fight, her physical attacks will increase in strength and the character will closely resemble a warrior archetype. Extensive use of elemental attacks, on the other hand, is a straight road to increased mental power and a mage archetype.
■Main characters possess a special power called Barla, usable through Esoterica of Barla. This special skill will be invoked only in the most dire of circumstances, e.g. when the entire party is about to get wiped out. Barla can (and will) turn the tides in the party's favor. So have some faith in them heroes. Things may turn out better than you'd hoped!
■Featuring various side quests, completing which will yield you rare and powerful artifacts.
Also, the world includes some ruins. Try and explore them, if you are up for an extra challenge. There are many other things to do, including fighting in the arena and completing items and enemies guides.
■At the point shop, you will find a variety of scenarios which reveal more of the character backgrounds, additional dungeons, and powerful items for your adventure pleasure.
In the additional dungeons, the strength of the enemies is adjusted to the strength of your party, so challenging battles can be enjoyed every time you play.
*While IAP content requires additional fees, by no means it is necessary for finishing the game.

Huge improvement from Symphony of Eternity and so far the best World Wide Software RPG i've played. It's a shame though that the IAP currency takes too long to obtain in-game and every added content costs too much.

Just one hour in, totally hooked! A really very fine 2D RPG. The progression system is a mix of FF2 and FF9. If you love the two, you should try this one out. I like the story really too. Pls make more game like this! 5/10!

The story is interesting and the translations are well done. The visuals are decent and the battle animations are above average for an old school style RPG like this. I have just one criticism: the main battle music is and the primary sound effect (when selecting things in the menu) are both annoying and should've been given more consideration when the game was in development. The boss fight music is very nice, exciting even, but the main battle theme is just irritating :/

It's fun and brings back old, but familiar RPG mechanics that make the game come to life. It has a great story from what I've experienced so far! The graphics are a tad bit "rough" but that doesn't hinder the gameplay one bit! I recommend it full scale.

Only an hour in so far and im definitely hooked. First 20 min is a bit slow as the story builds up but then things started getting good. The story dialogue is well written and the battle scenes, while traditional turn based fare, are comfortably common place for which I am very happy. Too many other rpgs these days are trying to be innovative or groundbreaking, usually at the cost of 'fun'. I did purchase a few extra items in game to support developers and expedite grinding. I recommend trying this game.

This is an unusual game. Whether or not you will like this is dependant on your age and tastes. This is a cross between old school text games and 80's era console games with a dash of RPG. There are a few problems to note. 1st: This game is unreasonably resource intensive. So don't bother with this unless you have a high end tablet. I do not recommend phones of any caliber. 2nd: The GUI is in need of improvement. Tap somewhere you want to go and the character will either go to far or not far enough. Getting in/out of towns, rooms, etc is a real pain. And do not try ice/snow. You will have almost no control of the character. 3rd: This is not a true RPG. You have little control over skill development and there are to few upgrades to weapons, armor etc.

Stopped". I purchased, installed and booted the game and every time I boot up the game, it closes and shows the error message "unfortunately, destiny fantasia has stopped". I can't refund it now. So please fix this. I have samsung galaxy s5.

This game insists on a review early. So, it is an jRPG - less RPG than usual, more story and dialogs. Less graphics, more story and dialogs. Less battle complexity, more story and dialogs. It is a bit dated, for example, Chaos Rings 2 does the same thing better, especially with voice acting. However, I keep 5 stars because even that is secondary. What is primary? I hope you already know - story and dialogs.

Really good game by the makers of the Symphony titles and Knight of the Earthends. I enjoyed it quite a bit. Character customization was solid and the difficulty was just right. Graphics had that classic JRPG feel. Lots of elements from the Symphony series were carried over. Only problem was that the ending wasn't that great but oh well. Poor Elis :( And Fruitie...oh wow. I'm pretty sure she is intended to be a stripper? An exotic dancer + a whip...interesting. Still like her though.

Battle music is hideous but that's a minor gripe. IAPs exist but you can earn the currency via battling at a rate of 20/1 so it's not all that bad. If you really enjoy the game, you'll be able to access everything for negligible payment, if any.
