This game is practically perfect. The visuals are simple yet very affective, giving it a sense of personality and identity. The little to no usage of words really help with the simplicity, and the game would have not been as interesting if it had include text to explain character thoughts, or events. The game mechanics are very easy to understand, having only two ways to move. Which only adds to the simplicity. The music really helps with the atmosphere and mode. The flaws I found were just minor nit-picks.

Trust me when i tell you that I haven't felt like this in a long, long time. All thanks to the team who made this game. This is an adorable game with a heart-touching story, amazing graphics and goosebump-giving piano melody. Everyone should experience this simple yet elegant game. It WILL make your day. I would've given El a rating of 10 stars, if it was even possible, but then 5 isn't so bad, right? I also would have loved to have paid money for it. That's how much i enjoyed experiencing El. The music is emotional and beautiful, the background and graphics are gorgeous, and the plot line really pulls at the heart strings. Talk about feels... It will make you cry. Definitely. Also, the game itself is pretty challenging, so you won't be bored! I really hope to find some piano sheet music for the songs, because they are too pretty... I need to play them.

Beautiful settings and no narration create the most amazing atmosphere. The story is so touching, and the end really did hit me. This game is short, but it was meant to teach us a lesson, which I have learned :') So cute, would recommend!

This game is absolutely beautiful. Amazing. I love the art, the story and the concept of the game. It took me exactly 30 minutes to complete the game. The ending was also a complete twist. I was thinking that maybe El would have found his family. But that wasn't the case. But this is a very Nice Game. The music it had was very calming and I loved it very much.

Like other people have said, the controls are a little odd and a bit sensitive. I got over this quickly due to the fact that I was able to easily maniuver with them. But when it really came down to it, all of the game's issues were overshadowed by the gorgeous art work and a bittersweet story line. To add to the enjoyment, you go through listening to amazing music that fits to the setting. If you are thinking on getting this game I strongly recommend that you do because you won't be disappointed!

This game is beautiful! I love the look and how there are cut scenes! The best part is that its challenging and you realize something about our world. I most definitely reccomend this game to EVERYONE... No matter how old you are, you need to play this fantastically made game!

I absolutely love the design of this game! The music was beautiful and the story was simple, yet nice. The ending is definitely unexpected. The main reason I am not giving it five stars is because there were a few buggy moments (not floating when holding finger down or not moving side to side when swiping left or right). Overall, an enjoyable and quick game. :)

I am usually one of those guys who are too lazy for a review but this game moved me. The theme and the gameplay is amazing. I love the the simplicity. My favorite part was when the umbrella boy picks up the girl. I'm not sure if the game is created from some kind of story but if it was from a book it would be best seller!

Probably one of the best games I've ever played. It's pretty short, but you'll be at it for a while because of the challenging gameplay. Great story, though I had to rewatch the scenes again to catch all of the details. The ending was bittersweet (and unexpected too). *SPOILER* If you look at the first scene, there are multiple feathers and an apple core. In the last scene, a feather and an apple. Multiple feathers= multiple lives. Same thing with the apple. That means everything's in a continuous loop...

it takes up lots of storage space and I had to delete some of my apps to download it but is was SO worth it. I loved it it touched my heart. the music created an incredible effect and the little clips were so cute and they're great and I like how you get to choose easy medium or hard. the ending was sad. the dove should've made him come alive! it was like a mini story plus game! it was really fun too! unlike others, I thought the controls and sensitivity was perfect!!!! short game but great! I ♥ El :)

This game was adorable and absolutely perfect, the music was by far the best part of the game along with these graphics. Really happy I got to play... I love this game!!! That ending was a surprise and I was just thinking about it the entire day after I finished the game. (Spoiler to people that didn't install yet) But since the bird dropped a feather, the person revives, right??? Plus, in the beginning of the game, there was an apple core near by, so did I just basically relive the exact same life??? This game SERIOUSLY needs a part 2. 10/10 guys, this was awesome.

El is a very simple yet beautiful game, the graphics, music, and gameplay were outstanding, and don't even get me started on the story. This game has got me to look at humanity in a whole different way, the ending was very sad but left players with a hopeful feeling. If I could I would give this game over a thousand ★'s, this game deserves it.

The graphics, music, and story were all amazing and innovative. The controls did take some time getting used to, but it wasn't horrible. Something I didn't notice until I finished the first time is that there are 3 difficulties (you automatically start on normal). So if the controls become a problem, you can start on easy.

When I First Saw The Controls I Was Expecting It To Be Repetitive And After The First Level I Was Hooked! Beginning To The End It Had Me Wondering What Was Going To Happen Next. The Only Downside To This Was The Ending. But Other Than That Good Game, Keep It Up.

It's one of those games that you find in a long while and teach you a lot about humanity and a purpose driven life. I won't spoil it for others about the ending but I think it depicts a eality of life. No matter how good you are some people just don't get it. Well done folks. Shocking, but great ending. Great insight about the society nowadays. Game was not easy to play and is quite frustrating but the watching ad to continue is nice. But the colours, graphics and music make it a very soothing/calming game to play. Quite upsey it ended so fast but I guess that is just part of how the game works, love the story!

Such simple story... altho it is kinda hard to play and I died lots of times... in normal mode that is. Also it is short. There should be a second part! Altho with a different mc or something like that.. Keep up the good work! Love the BGM. Wanna play it on piano too xD

This game truly is wonderful, with outstanding artwork, unique soundtrack and a plot that keeps you interested. The storyline is simply astounding. I'm in love with El. The only thing to change would be to add more levels so the player can experience more of the magic. To be honest, I was a little upset when it was over. Not just because the ending is a bit sad, but because I wanted to keep playing. Thank you for creating such an imaginative game!

Quite a petty ending for someone who ends a war and wants to help. Make a second game that also gives a good message. But a real good take on flappy bird-ish games, and a smooth narrative and music:) But the ending is heart wrenching;(

This is one of the best games I've ever played, its so interesting, so artistic, and , even so tragical... I think I dropped a little tear when the guy got shooted, he was a hero, he stopped war on just an umbrella, but one thing... Does the bird at the end revive him? Or is it just to remember him forever? Anyways 10/10

I loved the way this game was created. It was simple and challenging. My favorite part is that it had a very good storyline and the graphics and animation were beautiful. The ending really was surprising and it shattered my heart I seriously had to hold back tears. Very much recommend playing it and very much recommend playing until the end!

This game took my heart and ripped it from my chest. You will not be disappointed by the bgm, the art, or the ending. This game is hard, but beautiful. It makes you think, and, at the end, it might even make you cry. This game is definitely my favorite. This is one story I will not soon forget.

This game is a journey. You meet El. He is very lonely... And he helps others. He helps a girl whom he falls in love with. An infant. A soldier. And he asks for nothing in return. He gives all his time for everyone else and in the end, his life gets taken. This is truly a work of art, and there is no exact moral in the end. Just a life lost because his heart was too warm and the man's heart was too cold. What more canI say? I shed a tear and smile. This game was truly a work of art. Beautiful!

Seriously the game is played like you need to have instant reaction timing, however everything is so floaty you just get hit by everything. I never died but got so annoyed by this fact that I will never give this game a second chance.

I love the game so much. The music is nice, and the story is great. Poor little boy, he just wanted to help the world, but that man just had to kill the most innocent boy, but the dove saved the boy yaaaayyy. I hope there a more games like this one

Firstly the music is amazing and fits perfectly with the mellow game play and story line. The story line is clever as it portrays a collection of emotions with simple scenes. The game play is not too easy and not too hard. Final level was spot on! ;) So sad though but it leaves an impact. Way to go!

I just downloaded and have yet to even launch but I do want to comment that I think it sucks that almost every review I had read mentions "SAD END" Why spoil it for those of us who hadn't yet played. I don't want to know how it ends. :( FOLLOW UP : Game is beautiful, simple, burned thru it in less then an hour. I agree with all the other 5 star reviews but still, there is no need in the reviews to mention the sad ending. I believe even the author would agree esp after the last level was uplifting.

The music was beautiful, and the story was simple (and had a strange sort of ending), and the graphics are nice. If it weren't for that, this game would prolly get 3 stars because the game play was very punishing. Very glad they had a system where watching ads will let you progress from your death point though, that was refreshing from the whole "pay 99 cents to progress" thing. Can beat the whole thing in 30 min.

The ending was really surprising! I thought it was gonna be all happily ever after, but that didnt happen. It was a pretty good game, the animation is cool too. The only thing I didn't like was that the "Watch Ad To Continue" part after you fell because it never worked for me. I kept playing though.
