A fun take on the EDF universe. Being a long time fan of the series you might think I hold a biased opinion, but I can assure you that this really is a fun game. The game is surprisingly deep. I would compare this game to games such as Cookie Clicker and Best Fiends. At the time of review this game received it's day one patch. My only dislike is that the first few stages are boring as you encounter the same ants (With different stats again and again). Edit 1: I have played for a while now, in an hour I have reached mission 3 from mission 1. I'm taking a break from playing the game as it puts heavy strain on my finger muscles as you'd expect from a Tap game. The adverts are fair, it will give you picture ads for tapping through menus occasionally, but it will not give you adverts which ruin your actual experience. From time to time, a little circle will pop up that if you press, will give you a award for watching an advert, sometimes no advert needs to be watched and it just gives you free money or a free special ability usage. The rewards for using this ad system of watching video ads, are very good. Sometimes giving you a lot of currency to upgrade.

It is a great time waster.

I love the artwork, graphics and music. This is NOT anything like the console versions. However, it is the story of EDF2025 you just get to enjoy a different style with 50 different monsters(which is hard) this game is a great time waster, and i expect many more great add-ons in the future. Great job! (This is a tap game, & you can buy, upgrade units)

It is not the EDF game that everyone loves. Fighting bugs and all. But the nostalgic feel of the characters, weapons, and music made me download and play this. Again, this is nothing like Earth Defense Force 2025, or its previous installments.

Once downloaded, the game requires another GIGANTIC download upon the initial bootup to even work, we're talking like 300MB. There's no mention of this, so be careful if you're downloading from your mobile data. The game itself is a mindless screen-tapping garbage factory. No skill involved, no fun. Drags down the EDF name worse than Insect Armageddon ever did.

Feels like EDF for 1 minute. Then you notice the lack of silly voice acting and the odd quips of the friendly AI's ("EDF, EDF, EDF!) That aside this sort of gameplay is a shame for my phones capabilities. Why is the best gameplay on a phone in 2016 either 2008 Minecraft or 1990s Gameboy games (via emulation)?

It's a good framework for a tapping game, I like how you can choose which enemy to attack and having groups of enemies with their own health bars. It's unfortunate that upgrading your units and attack power are the same as every other clicker/tapper. Being able to collect armor, weapon and health crates would help make this game resonate with old EDD fans and make something unique and fun. I am still very early on, however.

Ads actually help, enemies fight back which is different and fun, but only complain is that I noticed my wing diver was supposed to do 5aa (5 quadrillion damage) but was only doing 27 trillion damage and even after an upgrade did about 270 trillion, and you don't get a note worthy amount of gold when you come back to play it, overall nice and mellow game.

It says "bugs fixed" but there's still tons of bugs in the game like ants 0/10

it's quite a bit ad-heavy, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

I had fun with this for a while but it runs poorly as you get to higher waves. Tapping too quick results in a semi slideshow now on an s7 edge

Cheaply made, ad-riddled mindless entertainment. It's prone to crashing if you watch the optional video ads, which prevents you from getting the ad bonuses.

Needs more people shouting EDF!!!! Otherwise mindless tapping fun.

Same story but now mobile. Easy way to pass some time.
