Oden Cart A Heartwarming Tale for Android
Most beautiful stories ever. I love this and please come out with more sequels! Those stories were amazing! This isn't some games that you look for fun or actions games. If you like something interesting and out of the blue, this is it. I love how they put up those stories and they are those we can relate so much in life. Btw this game trains my Patience. Haha.
The most essential is the story. The storyline was great. But I'm not really satisfied with the ending. Is there a hidden ending or something? Because I feel like the story is not completely end yet, but there's nothing more to do in the game so that was it. Even though it could have ended in better way, I still enjoyed the game overall. This game is like reading a story, I like reading, so this game suits me. The gameplay is easy too. Over all, 4 stars and an anticipation for what you can offer next. Thank you for this game! P.S the foods looks damn delicious, I really want to try oden! The descriptions of oden is appreciated :)
I'm writing a review on this via my desktop PC because my phone is out of juice from playing this game. First off let me say that the gameplay for this isn't as exciting as you may think. Basically all you to do is tap the conversation buttons and restock your cart. Though I it's not like I wasn't expecting anything more. The developers were very thorough in their help section and they properly described their game here in the App store. This is something that I don't see in some other games. Another thing that I love is the section where they describe to you the food you put on the Oden. I wish though that as a bonus you guys would provide a how-to cook section for each item. Over-all I give this a 5 star.
The idea of getting to know the customers on a deeper level is a great and heartwarming idea. "There is nobody you can't grow to love if you know their story", someone said. I find it very true with this game. One thing I find a little annoying is that it takes so much commitment to play this game. But then again - you don't get to know people in a few hours either. All in all, I love it. Good work!! And thank you for this beautiful game :)
Story comes in bits at a time, depending what you stock to attract certain customers, and how often chat. Gives clues to figure out connections, and endings don't disappoint. New oden options and customers become available over time the more one plays. (Glad my guts were right about the guy in purple suit from the first time he showed up... Well-done warning/moral.)
This is an interactive storytelling game, and Gagex has done that well. Lovely graphics, and it was pretty cool trying to see which characters are linked. Gameplay got a little slow towards the end, when some characters refused to give their final comment. While I liked it overall, I feel like some closure is needed - what happens in the end?!?!
Interesting concept. I love simple, story driven games with a rustic feel. Even for an interactive story (which I write in my spare time) this felt bare and drawn out. Even a small amount of gameplay to pass the time between new info would immensely change the experience for Oden Cart. It is promising and feels polished yet unfinshed.
I absolutely adore this game. I got attached to all the characters and I love how they're involved with each other and not just their own independent story. But there's one problem for me - the last character won't show up. I tried numerous food stocks and they just won't appear. I finished everything else's story, but I'm waiting for Mr. Last, please help!
I really liked it. It took me weeks to finish bit i finished it. It really hooked me specially finding out the different sides of the stories. Only thing is i feel it really never ended. I actually wanted to know if the purple suit guy got caught to give justice to the spooky girl. If that ending was included once you've finished everyone. That would've satisfied me. But i enjoyed it alot. Thanks for a great game.
Oden Cart tells a nice set of stories that gets revealed bit by bit over time. Some characters are hilarious, are so grating I wanted to repel them. Overall the interactions are interesting. I'm so close to finishing the game as a whole, but a few characters are holding out on their very last confessions. I do wish there were more 'technique' to getting them to talk about specific things.
A really good idle game. The story was really well done. It got kind of scary for a while, but I like how things worked out. My only issue is that the mysterious girl's story played out only after everyone else's did, so her contribution to the big arc wasn't as big as it should have been. Still a lot of great stories from each character, though.
It takes FOREVER to get through the stories. Some are cute and some are sad, but even using the customers favorite foods it's been over a month and I still can't finish them all. I had to look them up online and then it was underwhelming. I liked the gameplay and the fantastic art but it needs to progress faster.
A beautiful game, all in all. I was deeply disappointed that there was no official ending from getting all 12 Endings, but it does leave it up to your imagination! I sincerely hope for an Oden Cart 2! P.S: I got the Nice Girl's ending last, not sure if that's intended, but I loved that it worked like that
This game is super heartwarming. I have all the character stories except for the ghostly girl. So I've stocked only the food she likes and only she shows up. ???? So there's a hint for anyone having trouble getting any last gripes from a specific character. Just stock the foods that only that character likes and they will be the only one to show up to your shop. Saves a lot of time!
At the start I was so unsure what to do but gradually I became more and more hooked to the refreshing and interesting characters. The art for this reminds me of Level-5 games from Professor Layton so it was lovely to go back to that style. It was tricky towards the end and required a bit of patience but trust me, it's completely enjoyable at the end. I hope there's more games like this or a sequel!
I love the story telling aspect of this game! You get to know the characters little by little and get to hear their stories! Some of the characters are connected as well so you it makes the game better as you get to see the story unfold between these characters! A heart warming tale, I wish the game didn't have to end! I also love how it teaches you a little about oden as well! It makes me want to have some oden since it's winter time right now!
It's a great game with great gameplay. The stories keep you playing and they are all connected - which you can see at the end! It took me a while to finish it though and the graphics look so good. (Made me hungry all the time.) I'm glad I found this game. :))
I went into the game not really expecting heaps. I though it would be a nice little game to waste some time. And it was all that and more. The characters are all incredibly interesting and there's a story that is surprisingly intricate, and you'll likely find yourself checking the app every few seconds to see if you've got new speech bubbles. Really REALLY good
The game itself is straightforward and simple: stock your oden cart with food and listen to your customers talk about their lives. Their stories are varied and fascinating. Lives are intertwined in ways one would never expect. Alternately moving, spooky, and funny, I really can't say enough good things about this little game. If you're looking for something with an amazing story and simple, idle gameplay, you can't go wrong with An Oden Tale.
I freakin' love this game. The story, the plot twist, everything. It's so beautiful the way it's laid out and the way things are conveyed. I love this game so much and I heard there was a second part to it. I do hope you translate it and soon people can play in english. I really love this game and there are really no amount of words I can say to the creators other than I'm amazed with this beautiful story. A must play. 10/10.
It makes me hungryyyy T^T but seriously, I like the gameplay... just unique, chill, listen to their interesting problems on how each individual's story connects to the other, and have new food in the menu.... I have not finished it yet, hutbI looking forward to the ending... kudos to you, developers, for not being a money-sucker, but I do hope I could support more... have a good day
The synopsis of the game is true to its word: "Everyone has secrets. Treasured memories. Little frustrations of life and love." Each of the customer's gripes will show their struggles in their daily lives, much like that of a slice of life genre. I would highly recommend this for a patient person interested in a "simple but feels-filled" plot.
Amazing and well done! I love the stories so much. I was a bit annoyed at the fact that I couldn't seem to get the last bits of dialogue to get all the endings so soon, but after playing the game more and actually achieving most of the endings, I realised that everything was in order. Very captivating story line! I loved every bit of it <3
The gameplay isn't much but the stores of each character really draw you in (and the art is cute). I haven't finished all of them yet but it's quite a time suck. Apparently you need to unlock later characters' dialogs before you can finish the Nice Girl and Grumpy Man's, so don't waste any time talking to them over and over like I did. I wish this part was more clear.
I have become so obsessed with this game in the past few days. It starts off a little slow, but its worth the wait. The storylines are pretty relatable and shows that everyone goes through hard times. Its a masterpiece, honestly. It took me a while to get the Grumpy Man, and lastly, the Nice Girls end, but it was definitely for a reason. This story came together so beautifully and I hope there's a sequel to this in the future.
The game has a great storytelling method, with only tids and bits being revealed little by little, leaving the player with the chance to draw the lines until seeing the conclusion. Stories are nicely written, without being overly mature or too naive, and yet deep. Only problem is the lack in-game mechanic tying the stories together. If two characters share an ending, you might see it from one side without having a chance to discover who was the other side. Endings could be triggered by shared conditions.
okay this game is really cute. you run an oden cart and listen to customer's problems and the more you listen and build rapport with them the longer they'll stay and the more money you'll make. the neat part is as you listen to the customers you realise some of them are possibly related and their stories connect. (you also learn a bit about the cart owner's story in the 'diary' section.)
This game is super heartwarming. I have all the character stories except for the ghostly girl. So I've stocked only the food she likes and only she shows up.
Although this game starts out a bit slow, I have to admit that this is truly a "heartwarming tale". The way the story is created as the characters are developed is absolutely wonderful, and it was especially heartwarming to read the ending of the nice girl. The grumpy man's ending was also a really good plot twist that I did not expect, and the career woman and old lady's endings gave me a good laugh.
The game has slow pace and easy-going atmosphere, with such an adorable setting. The only thing that makes me confused that seems like the oden cart just has 8 blocks to store the food, so I'm not really sure if when we restock, it would be 8 types to the maximum or else? (Update: I finished the game and I must say that the storytelling is lovely and I am more than curious to know more about the characters. Would love to see the sequel or a similar game. thank you !)
I didn't expect such a lovely story. Each character in this was entertaining and interesting and the art style is very charming! Ive been playing it for a few days now and have unlocked everything, I can safely say it was time well spent. Only complaint would be that during the 'endings' the music loops far too quickly and far too noticably but thats really my only complaint
I love the art concept, the characters and how most of their stories involve each indivual (at most). It does repeat itself and takes time in order to advance. I loved this game to the very end and how each character has their own characteristic. Unique and creative ^_^
It takes a while to get the grumpy ol' man ending (I got it last) and the nice girl. Beautiful pictures and nice music.Tips to player: Put only one person fav food and taps their bubble endlessly, much repetitive but you'll satisfied for the end! Well done developer!!
the gameplay gets kind of boring after awhile (since the game only involves tapping). Would be awesome if the game includes different location or mini games. Overall, the game was awesome. ((TIPS FOR PLAYER)) Select/deselect the oden based on the customer you want to finish. Don't waste your time on the nice girl/grumpy old man because their story can only be finished after you finished a certain character's story. One more hint: the last character is very shy ;)
I loved to hear their stories, especially the onea that intertwine. This easily has become one of my favourite phone apps. My only gripe is that I wish there was more to see after you complete everyone's gripes - an idea is that there's one more bit of story, where you get to see the events that unfold im everyones life afterwards (eventa related to the gripes/ending we see). Though I say this, the lack of an afterstory makes it no less enjoyable.
It's my first time playing a game like this so I wasn't really sure what I was doing, but once you get going, it's quite addictive. Each person's story was really interesting, I found myself wanting to know more and more about their stories. I'm still waiting for the mysterious last customer though? When do they show up, I've completed everyone else!
I never come across such beautiful narrative or dialog game. Moreover can't believe finish it within 3 days. Worth for killing time, if you able to read and enjoy real life experience. This game recommend for you. All you need is the key I mentioned. Hope everyone enjoy it.
I love learning all the stories behind these seemingly simple characters! I only wish I could pay to take out the ads, and have an option for taking out those background sounds of the people talking, but not removing the music or bubble sounds. Maybe some rain sounds would be nice, or just having the music constantly in the background!
The gameplay itself isn't really that interesting, at least for someone who's not into tapping games. However, the oden look delicious and the stories are well thought out, relatable, and touching. Ads are not a problem and I also commend the devs for not being greedy. I'm just not sure it should be classified under the horror category.

This has been fun. I enjoyed the stories and how a few characters were somehow connected to each other. It was also notable how the connected characters never showed up at the same time, else they'd recognize each other. Thank you for this unique and wonderful experience. (Tips for the other players: The characters show up depending on the food that you choose to sell. This way, you can control whether or not a certain character will show up at your booth. You can use this to attract certain characters, and in turn, repel certain characters as well. Good luck and enjoy! )
