Showa Candy Shop

Even though I don't live in Japan, the play through is easy to get into. Also, the children (and adult) that go to the store are quite entertaining to see when you click them. It's too similar to how a person reacts when they're caught off guard :))

I love the fact that my phone can easily play this game without crashing or lagging. The first thing that got me into playing this game was the art. It's simple & cute. The color is nice too. I found myself wishing happiness & good health for the granny too. :)

The game is great, the messages the kids send me touches my heart. But the game crashes constantly whenever I try to collect the coins from the kids.. Are there any upcoming patches that could fix this? Thanks!

I liked it, and was charmed by it. I played it all the way to the end, which means there was definitely *something* there, but I felt like something was 'missing' gameplay-wise. Then I saw the layout/apparent mechanics of Showa Candy Shop 2 and went 'ah-ha', and am keenly going off to play the improved version :)

This game is obviously full of love! The story, though simple, is written with care, and the art is beautifully done. There's not a lot to the game, but what is there obviously had thought and care put into it. Each character that can show up to your shop has their own little entering and leaving animations, and each one is unique and full of character, making you feel a sense of love and familiarity even within very brief interactions. Overall, I couldn't ask for more from the visual presentation. The game play is simple and easy to relax to if you're waiting for something, but unfortunately you run out of upgrades to purchase about 2/3rds of the way through the plot, and without a concrete milestone to reach for, the game play starts to get stale much quicker. The game had to trouble keeping my attention towards the end. Overall I loved the game's atmosphere, but it wasn't enough to engage me the whole way through. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a relaxing title that's easy to pick up and put down.

I really love this game..its cute and doesn't lag what so ever. But there is one problem tho... when u already you know complete everything,collect everything and all that.. what do u do next? Like i literally already upgrade all the toys,sweets and cleanup to the max level soo srsly what do i do next?

really cute, nostalgic and interesting to read all the different sweet descriptions. however just one qualm- whenever i restock my sweets an ad appears, as well as other times during the game when i just tap around aimlessly. said ad occasionally hangs my phone and crashes the game; gets kind of annoying. thanks.

whole page ads are annoying. But the toys! I'm not Japanese but I know these toys!!! Some of it were actually in my childhood! I love it, the storyline kind of jumped quite quick but I was able to finish this game in less than 2 days, probably even less if I didn't sleep, etc. this one's shorter than the Part two game.

Love it! The story is well done, the graphics are just..stellar, no glitches that I know of. This game is so calming and lovely!! I love it! Only thing is now that I have collected everything, I feel quite aimless, haha.

I usually go for high speed or more action typed games but this game just melts my heart. The music, atmosphere, and the story is amazing. Sweet game for relaxing. Definitely recommend if you like slow-pace games!

This is so cute. I really like the storyline although it's kinda sad, always makes me wanna cry haha.. I've also played showa candy shop 2!! Please make this game zoomable.

Everytime I see the morning glory boy lays down on ground, I'm always like "DON'T DIE ON ME BOYYY" X''D The poor kid needs water so bad. The goods are very interesting to be unlocked, seen & read! You guys really improved the second version a lot. GJ ( o v o)b I read some complained about the slow gameplay and all, but I think some game are meant to be played slow for players who seek for relaxation & peace of mind. So, don't mind them much!

The music is relaxing, the art style is cute yet holds a traditional feel to it. The letters to Grandma are also very touching- it makes me think of my grandma and everything she still does for me.

Cute, relaxing and contemplative. Not much "gameplay" but more of a zen exercise of the charm inherent in life's little details.

For making this game. It's easy to play and the story was a ride from sweet to painful to bitter sweet drops. I'm going to remove this app for space but I will never forget this game.

I finished in a couple weeks. There were definitely way too many ads for my liking, but it was an easy and fun game to play in my free time.

Simple game and touching story. I keep waiting for the next letter. The candy shop is nice, but I think the customers little bit odd. I also think it could be better if we can 'zoom' the candy shop to see the products maybe.

I would have spent more time in the game, but the time to wait for replenishing stocks is so disappointing. :(

Not as good as the Oden Cart, but I still liked this game. The descriptions of the candy were funny. All in all a good game.

I played it through to the end and there's really nothing to it. Also it saddened me to see the grand daughter writing repeatedly to her grandmother without response...wow, really? Sad! Very sad!

Apart from too many ads. This game makes no sense at all. You have to wait forever to serve a kid and levelling up also takes ages

Persistent ads pop up

This has potential for being a wonderful atmospheric game if it had bigger or zoomable graphics of the proprietress and stock. Better pictures and information on the items would really help(see Dagashi Kashi's success). Also imo the atmosphere's ruined after I upgraded the Sweets and am now beset by packs of people whenever I play haha. It was very fitting that customers were rare, a realistic and relaxing touch. I recommend Oden Cart by the same publisher for a far comfier time.

Fun game with a cute and touching story that is told through letters to a grandmother. Simple gameplay - stock your shelves, close the game, come back later and collect the money and clean the shop. Use the money to buy more stock and upgrade your store. Points to note: Only buy one item at a time - each option just changes the timer, and it is overwritten with each purchase (ie: if you buy the 1h option and then immediately but the 15min one, your timer will run out at 15 min.) Also, go with the 15min.
