Xash3D VR - Virtual Reality

So I got it all working, except I cant get it into VR mode! Mono works great. Any tips would be appreciated. Edit: Saw the below comment. Adding "Vr_mode 1" command to console switches to stereo mode. Would have been simpler if some instructions came with the app...

Australian.. Hey I've got this xdash3d vr working with my xperia xz premium. Non root.. Using dualshock 4 (ps4 remote) mods work follow Instructions the xdash3d moddb Vr_mode 1 activates, Default_fov 100, vr_dist 0.2 (0-4). best results using a freefly 120 fov headset

Headtracking works excellent. Rated 1 star to get the attention of the developer. How do I activate vr stereo mode? I do not see it on the list before launching the game. I will rate 5 stars when I get help

I found this app and I really wanted to try to play Half Life in VR, but what I got was what seemed to be a VR game, but the buttons were on the screen. Next update, you could add a function where you move your head to move, or click to swing/fire. Your best bet is to get normal Xash3d

To address some concerns: YES, you can disable the touchscreen HUD. Go to configuration>touch>touch options and uncheck "enabled". YES, this does have gyro/accelerometer support. The main issue is not-so-great gamepad support. While head tracking is enabled, the right stick can't be used to look around - you'll make yourself dizzy trying to play this like that. It's also somewhat difficult to remap controls.

Doesn't have accelerometer + compass support. That's all I have to say.

There is no option to change the size of the views so you can't see the hud. And you can't see large parts of the screen. The awesomest thing ever that you could do is add the ability to change the size of the views. The in game screen size option will change the size of the view but then for some reason the other side disappears. Also to make this app 100% is to have the views rounded like other vr apps though I'm sure that would be tough. Otherwise this is an awesome app!

It's exactly what it says on the tin. I mean, sure, it's Half-Life in VR, and that's really cool, so it's a four, but it has some really bad flaws, the worst of which being that the HUD is still in the far corners of the screen, and is nearly impossible to read. I mean, I love Half-Life, but it's hard to enjoy when you don't even know how much health you have. On top of that, the crosshair isn't modified for VR and as such is wildly inaccurate, so you almost have to turn it off and just rely on autoaim. That could be fixed by adding something like a lazer pointer that shows exactly where in the game the bullet will hit, which would be both plausible and unintrusive. Once those two problems are fixed, I'll give it a five. As it stands, I can't really recommend plaything through the game like this until it's properly fixed, but I still think it's worth trying out, even if only for the excellent mod support. If you want to play CS 1.6 or TFC in VR, you can now, and that's great, so that bumps it up from a three to a four for me.

Absolutely amazing being to run Half-Life in VR on my Galaxy S7. This brings new life into dozens of old titles.

Really good

This app has made me want to pick up and play with my VR headset again! I've been getting a bit tired of most VR apps being short little demos or repetitive mini games. This app lets me play the hours-long Half Life and 100s of mods in VR for free! As long as you own Half Life, you have countless hours of content available to play with your cardboard compatible device. I use a Moga Pocket with the Moga universal driver for control and a VR Shinecon headset. It runs comfortably smooth on my Moto G4 Plus.
