Xash3D FWGS

If you are looking for a solid port of Half-Life, you just found it. This will run at a playable framerate on many devices, even your older ones. However, I recommend having a newer device as they can easily run the game without it dropping below 60. It can still run on older devices, just expect the framerate to drop as 20 in some spots. After upgrading from an old Samsung Galaxy S4 to the Samsung Galaxy S7, I went from having 20-60fps to having 60-100+fps. Totally worth it as I can now enjoy Half-Life on the go at a smooth framerate.

I've noticed that if you have thr CS 1.6 data, you could STILL play HL1. Now to the port itself, this port is amazing, It even has MP support. The controls are a bit meh but that's to be expected. A few frame drops here and there but nothing too unplayable. Overall nice job FWG, I salute you

I am able to launch the main menu but when I get to the difficulty screen I would tap on the difficulty but nothing would happen. I have a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active. I would think it would run. Please help

Crouch jumping is near impossible for the long jump module. Please add a button for it. Edit: What I meant to say was that using the long jump module can be tricky at times (probably as a result of my phone screen size), resulting in my inevitable death, I just wish there was command/button I could add to make that easier. Everything else is perfect; the game rarely lags even on my crappy Android device and the only bug I encountered (which also happens to PC players) was that the fan in "Power Up" wouldn't lift me after turning it on.

This has to be one of my most favorite apps ever made so I can play half life on the go and it's great that it's easier to install now! Using the long jump module is hard though. Also could you add an option to enable the HD model pack for Half-Life and Blue Shift if we have valve_hd and blueshift_hd installed?

I honestly love this open source version of the Goldsrc engine and the fact that I can play CS and regular old Half-life on my tablet. It's simply amazing that this is even possible. Sadly, I do have one gripe about a couple of problems with a specific mod known as Afraid Of Monsters: Director's Cut. This is because not only will the knife will not show up in the mod whatsoever nor will the crowbar work in lieu, but also because the custom HUD and inventory of the mod will not load up. If this problem gets fixed sometims, I will GLADLY bump my review up to the full 5 stars.

It can barely load I tried reinstalling the valve folder it just can't work anymore with the new update (update: it has nothing wrong I have all the xash folder and the game files,but it says could not load "computive mumbo jumbo" and when it opens it just goes to the console and cannot load maps like C1A1 due to the after mentioned data bug) Update: Thanks for the tips it really helped guys

is mouse support for aiming possible without holding the mouse button in all the time and therefore using keystrokes to shoot? edit: is it possible to make a hold button for the mouse pointer to just click ones and then it could be relatively appointed to X and Y. therfore the mapping of the _look function should be resize able over the whole screen. still have to shoot with keystrokes but I don't have to hold the mouse button 1 always while gaming

THE very worst update.My xash file is in External storage.When I launch xash3d always crash and the cs16client.Pls support the external storage because my internal memory is noe 7.66GB/11.00GB My External is 3.45GB/32GB

This is definitely underappreciated. I haven't used this yet, but I have used the counter strike one, and I am surprised at how well this all works. 5 stars!

Dude tks so much for making this app, one prob for me is that I can only play multiplayer cause it says I'm missing delta.LST, but then again its prob cause I used the half life disc instead of steam.

It says write test failed everytime now It was working fine even though it was on my external storage but now it says it needs to be in internal one

I have been experiencing some crashes with this app on my j5 after some time playing Cs1.6.
