The Quest for Android
This game and it's official expansion is truly worth a 5 star rating. Rarely will I rate something so highly unless it truly deserves it. I've spent well over 100 hours in this game and it reminds me of the old Dungeons and Dragons and Eye of the Beholder games. Absolutely fantastic. I'm sad to see it come to an end soon, but will be seeking the other expansions.
I don't even consider myself a gamer anymore because I didn't think games like this still existed. Brings back fond memories of my TES: Daggerfall days, but this game is more polished. 10/10, best game I've played in a very long time.
Good game & definitely worth the price for the content. Maybe not as flashy as some games now days, but it's worth the time & many to play. Only grips is sometimes Quest objectives are not as clear or showing where to go next. Which is understandable for older games, but it would help to have a little icon apper on map for the quest your doing or have selected. Besides that I look forward to more & new expansions!
I fell in love with this game back when it was on the PocketPC. This and the old PocketPC version of Everquest were the only things I miss about that old platform. So glad it's on Android now. One of the best games in the store and worth every penny!
Probably the best game on android. This is the quality we would normally have if mobile gaming hadn't devolved in to cash grabs and scam fests. Similar to DOOM RPG and of course classic pc adventure games. You can even ignore the expansion content. The game is finished without them, the expansions simply do what expansions traditionally did 7 years go, expand on an already complete game.
I came into this game thinking it was going to be another cheap knock off. I was completely blown out of the water. I have been putting this game off constantly because I thought it was a cheap mess. I cannot believe how good this game is. Thank you for making a good game.
I played this game since I had in my iPod. Redshift also uploaded their games on steam. I have the Quest in my devices and PC I strongly recommend for those RPG story lovers. I wish they had an option for the pixelated graphics.
The Quest has that Daggerfall/Morrowind feel to it. The story is well written and it kept me looking forward to the plot. Some of the sub quest are straight forward but some require some figuring out and certain skills and charming the npc. This game is a gem and an absolute masterpiece. All old school rpg players should get this and the expansions in their smartphones. Thank you Redshift and Zarista.
The game is quite good so far. Mind, I haven't played much, and I'll probably set it at five stars once I've played a bit more. The developers are very helpful and respond within a day or two, which is lovely. Could use a bit more variation in the faces of NPCs, but, since it is hand drawn, this is understandable. I'm enjoying it. :)
Überraschend suchterregend! Erstklassiges rundenbasiertes RPG.
Shows a black screen and that's it. (Galaxy Tab S 8.4 with Android 4.4.) (Updating to Android 6 will lose me storage space from the limited 16GB of the device, and 4.4 is generally stable, so I'd rather stick to 4.4. Upgrading just in case this game works doesn't seem worth it.)
Cannot give the 5 star review that I wanted to, because the Devs still haven't added support for the Nvidia Shield Controller for the Shield Tablet K1. Cannot gamemap the controller because of the multiple necessary buttons between screens. So once again, PLEASE ADD SUPPORT FOR THE NVIDIA SHIELD CONTROLLER. Thanks
The best Retro-RPG on android, the experience was perfect, the hours that you can spend in this game is a lot, totally worth the purchase, it would be great the whole map option but with zoom, but the game is awesome anyways <3
Huge world, Huge content. You mold your character the way you want. You can be good, neutral, or evil. One of the best RPGs on the play store.
Despite its lackluster name The Quest is fantastic!
Fantastic game even though it can be tedious at times
Great retro rpg ! Awesome artwork.
This game is very easy to play.
Waited a long time for this to come to Android. Amazing work.
Best rpg for phone! I was super stoked when redshift ported it from the app store. With the newer version I tend to press the wrong direction quite a bit. If you could make an option to enlarge the controls I think everyone would be happier! Full controller support for Xbox controller and moga/moga pro controller would be fantastic too! Great game and good work!
Loving the HD remakes for Android, the Quest is about the only thing I missed from iOS Everytime this updates I always think it's a new expansion :'( bug fixes are always good though <3
Enjoyed this back when it was on Palm Pilot. It's Daggerfall meets dungeon crawler.
This is like, an actual game. its straight up a steal at eight bucks
I played The Quest, and all its expansions, on my Palm Pilot. I've been waiting for years for it to be ported to Android. Thank you!!!!
I thought the expansion versions can be played as stand alone but actually it you can't get pass on the game because the monsters are difficult to kill.you won't progress in the game without downloading the main game which sucks.
Awesome game. Well worth the price! My one complaint is that I wish there was a better way to track quests. If I go a few weeks without playing, it's difficult and daunting to get back into it. Quest waypoints (kinda like Oblivion) would be pretty sweet...
I want more content for android! Me and I know many others will buy it. Awesome game. Ok so I'm updating this. I got a new phone and got the quest and the new content for it. Now I have had 0 problems in the past with this game. But now on a newer phone. I seem to be lagging a lot. Especially in forests and rain. Anyo way to fix this?
I played this way back when on my ipod touch and am so incredibly stoked to find it on the Google Play store. The Quest is basically a perfect old school first person RPG. If you like dungeon crawlers or RPGs similar to the Ultima series, you will totally dig this. 100% worth the admission price, and there are multiple full-fledged expansion packs that are basically full campaigns in themselves.
I was a nineties kid and played the games that this is supposedly referencing, but it just doesn't have the same charm. I think one problem is that the writing is mediocre, another is that the game's system is weak. Yeah, you can customise your character, but the various skills have not been balanced at all well, so it's really just a choice of heavy/light warrior with whatever pointless flavour skills you choose. The leveling and loot are both pretty boring too. It's one of those games that would be great on your phone (for those idle moments or commuting) but is just OK on tablet.
Controls need some work, I keep fumbling between the directional arrows and getting frustrated when I hit a direction by mistake. It could also be that the UI is cumbersome. Furthermore some of the initial dialog seems a bit drab.
Really cool old style rpg. Open world, plenty of quest and a nice character customization system. Very nice. Definitely recommend.
Not at all worth the money, story shallow, graphics week, character development not interesting, for free or cheaper would be all right but this much for such a poor product is just too much (10 usd or so)
Been needing a classic rpg like this on my phone
Really addictive!!!
This game is fantastic! I've purchased each of the expansions because this game is just one of those mobile games that is perfectly suited to the platform. It's simple, it's fun, it doesn't require anything special to run. My phone probably has more trouble running chrome than this game to be honest. If you're into turn based RPGs with a Tolkien-esk backdrop, this game is definitely for you.
Sad that this game has less than 10,000 downloads while some garbage freemium game has millions. This is the reason why great games like this one are rare on the android market. This game is actually a port from the iPhone which is a port from the Blackberry version. So keep in mind it was originally made for a less powerful system. It plays a lot like Might and Magic with the same movement and quest system. This is the best CRPG you'll get on android, and it's dirt cheap. Actually, dirt at your local home & gardening store cost more.
When I first bought the game I wasn't really into it like I wanted to be and didn't touch it for a while, eventually came back and decided to give it a fair shot, after doing some research on the forums and learning more about the game and how to play it, I got to say it's really grown on me and I love this game, easily one of the best rpgs I have played mobile and it really brings back that old-school nostalgia and style of games I missed, if you are into rpg type games and are on the fence about getting this, do yourself a favor and spend the few bucks.. It's worth so much more
Huge open-ended, old school rpg. Many quests to complete. If you liked Elder Scrolls or Morrowind, you'll love The Quest. Don't forget to get all of the expansions. They add many more hours of game play.
Had an issue downloading, devs were quick to address the issue even though it was a Google issue. Impressed.

The Quest is everything you could want in a mobile RPG.
