Doom & Destiny Free

I'm about 4 hours into the game and enjoying every moment. I didn't expect this to be a gem since it's free but I will buy the ad free version after this review so I can enjoy playing without interruptions. I play lots of RPGs and this is the best mobile game I've played since KODP. This is an original RPG with a interesting story that will leave you wanting more. The menu is deep with many ways to customize your characters. Even if you don't buy this game I recommend getting the free version.

Pure fun, easy to play, but not too easy :) Old school RPG with some funny lines. Playable even without paying which is important. From time to time there is a commercial but you really don't have to spend any money and you can just enjoy it. Love the concept that they created!

Get. This. Game. Now! It's a classic-style NES/Genesis-era RPG. But it's a parody! And not just of console games, but also of table-top D&D, and those of us who played. And so great to have a game that doesn't limit your play by how much energy you have left, "now-pay-for-a-refresh" like everything these days. Seriously, it's not to be missed!

I grew up on retro RPGs like Zelda, Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy and the other greats of the Nintendo era. This brings me back to that time and it has something better than the old ones: an actual enjoyable dialogue. I hope there's a sequel in the works!

This game has alot a good content and is so clever that it will make you Rolf on every pun. If you are a nerd like me. Then you will enjoy this game with it's reference to multiple other genra. I'm 20 hours in to this game and I still enjoy it since there are multiple secrets after that you beat the game. I'm facing the flying spaghetti monster in a bit just need the 4 orbs.

The only reasons to not get this game are as follows: if cussing bothers you, if puns bother you, if you have never played another rpg in your life, if you don't like fun, if you can't read, and if you don't have thumbs. If none of those sound like you, you'll heartily enjoy this delightful journey through a silly, reference-laden universe that has surprisingly good controls and combat! Definitely the best free rpg on the market. There's zero pay to win. Free version has ads, paid doesn't. That's it.

What more can be said?! I've been playing this game since it came out on Xbox Live as an Indie game...and I have loved it ever since! And now that it's an app that I can take on the go?? Beautiful! Thank you for your unique contribution to the gaming world :D

You guys are awesome! Just a little bug I found in BGM, the sound of increasing number of EXP after I won the battle keep playing even though I've gone to the title. I think this doesn't happen so often but I want this good game even better.

This game is hilarious, very addicting and has a great storyline. It is very different from the rest of the rpg out there and that's what make it so unique. You never know what to expect in this game. Don't have to be a nerd to play this but if you love rpg then you have got to try this game.

I didn't like how many levels it takes to unlock several of the powers because of the way the points system works, but I love the in jokes and the fact that the heroes call out fetchquests as annoying. Hahaha

but it crashes every time the game tries to take me to the game store to buy the retail version and i can not progress further than 5 minutee of gameplay. if i want to buy it, ill buy it but trying to force me before i can have a try is not a good marketing espically when it makes the game crash !!!

Send like a cool game, but it continues the level up point sound after a battle. It sounds off through the rest of the playtime and is annoying. I like this game, but I believe the sound enhances the gaming experience, and this sound glitch is just killing it for me.

Love the simple old school feel like Earthbound and Ff series games. Love the dialog, cursing included. It's a satire of rpg clichés. I'm thinking of buying full game to get rid of those pesky ads...although they aren't to bad at all. No ads in corner or top of screen. Just a random ad while walking in or out an entrance. I saw that they have a sequel or add on so after this one if I like it I'll be buying that one.

All the graphics I've seen look like there from one of the 'rpg maker, game engines' Now I'm not saying this is a bad thing but I was wondering, if this was made in, for example, rpg maker vx ace, how did you port over to android? Anyway, great game and keep up the good work :)

Great game, but please reduce the adds a little. Add every 1-2 mins makes the game almost unplayable. I enjoy the game & would like to play it. I understand adds, & the option for an adfree version... But there's gotta be some moderation.

Old school rpg with meta humor. Downloaded it, next thing i know its 3 hours later. Soon as i get paid, im going ad free to support the creators and devs. Thanks for this!

Not really sure how far I've gotten, but I've put well over eleven hours into it. Good game! There's still some bugs in it, though, like if you go to a different app for just a moment it will crash. Save save save, pretty much for that reason alone. Also, if you don't shell out the three bucks for the full version, you get ads all the time, and like I said before, you accidentally click on one, and its back to your last save point.

A lot of fun. Usually I'm disappointed by phone RPGs but not the one. The one real thought I have is the equipping of items and spells. It does not seem clear yet to me which ones are better to use or which items to put on which character. Doesn't really detract from the game though. Also not really sure which stats are better to invest in. It's a minor thought though and just keep playing and don't let these small things get to you. Enjoy the game

This game is a masterpiece I never expected much from this game. Mobile games, especially free mobile RPG games, are typically garbage, no more than an average time killer. This game is different. The controls, while a little odd at first, are easy to learn, and kind of intuitive. The music and graphics are absolutely fantastic, definitely reminiscent of old school rpg games. The dialogue, typos and all, is pretty good and genuinely funny at times. The story is actually pretty good too in my opinion. The gameplay is fantastic, both the overworld and the towns are fully fleshed out and pretty detailed at times. Even though this is the free version(Ads), the ads haven't bothered me at all, they only come at random times after fights, cutscenes, or screen changes, so they'll never interrupt the actual gameplay, with that being said, I'm considering buying the ad free version simply because I think the dev has fully earned my money. This is a beautiful indie game clearly made by someone who understands the genre. I would kill to see what the dev could do with the budget of a big game publisher. Overall, this game is an 11/10, five stars, two thumbs up masterpiece. Anyone who's read this far into my review, you owe it to yourself to play this game immediately. And to the dev if he sees this, this is possibly the best free phone game I've ever played, I'm definitely considering buying the ad free version, simply because you deserve the money for this fantastic game

Great dialogue, good humor and references + Easter eggs, all around great game just wish there wasn't adds, but if you could pay to remove them it's worth it. Plus there's some recurring glitches that mess with the frame rate and sound.

Can't always figure out where to go next, but the idea is cool and I like the humor. Ads are kind of intrusive, but I haven't started liking it enough to buy it. Controls are somewhat clunky until you get used to them. Overall, cool game.

I honestly couldn't think of many more options you could have to make a game this creative, addicting, and all around great. I love it. Deserves 10 stars. If you ever decide to make a sequel add some kind of transformation or summon like final fantasy. Also have a more in-depth skill tree that awards moves so you don't have to buy ever skill available through a merchant all round a perfect game!

aside from the tongue in cheek college puns and man bravado humor, which is really the only concept imho that makes this app remotely entertaining, as well as the retro style rpg. which i do appreciate. but not worth 3$. watch out for all the annoying ads.

They walk too fast so you should AIM a route! And I should notice "cellphones have touch screen"!!!!! Why when I can just touch a menu i have to use that joystick? And the menus are too dizzyingly & confusing. This 2 star is for graphic and cartoon style.

Fun and easy to play. Ads could get annoying though as it keeps on interrupting my game play! But all in all, it's great. The characters' lines are funny too.

Kept saving to the file and when I exited out, it lost my game. Bye bye 4 hours of my life.

I love this game. The story is involving and hilarious. It's PURELY COINCIDENTAL that it's my favorite free game so far. Love the battle system but would have preferred a choice between touch controls and gamepad. But I'm sold. Great job!

The game was amazing. It may not be extremely popular (Can't find a good guide anywhere), but it is hilarious. Currently stuck in the Elven castle, in the Queens bathroom (HELP ME)

I really enjoy this game. I've been searching for a while for a great rpg for the phone. This game has it all. Adventure, laughs, exploding chickens... You name it!

The controls feel like a nintendo game. It can make it difficult to navigate. Game play is good and i have not experienced any bugs. I was hoping for a fun and light hearted game. It became a game of impossible odds. You cant rest to gain back stats. Anything you missed earlier in the game is hard to get later because game areas like the biforce reset. The game just becomes an up hill struggle and the humor is just not there, at least i wasnt laughing.

Love this game! Not only is it very lengthy, and not only is it great FF style gameplay, the humor is so entertaining! Sometimes the English is a little off, but the creator nevertheless did a wonderful job! I'm amazed that an Italian can produce such great humor that an American can find funny. :) I hope he goes far in this line of work! His multiple talents speak for themselves. Kudos!

The controls were weird to use at first but now that I have played for quite some time. It's all second nature. Fantastic game. Loved all the nerdy references. Best game I have ever played.

Awesome game! BUT, there is this bug, that after a fight, the exp sound won't stop. Had it happen to me alot and even 3 times in a row[EDIT: It actually happens every single time a battle ends, it's pretty annoying. I have to play the game without sounds, which is a shame, since the music is pretty good! I was also thinking on buying the game, but not sure if it's worth with this bug]. Have to save and re-open the game every time ot happens. Otherwise, cool game!

I played the game for free, now I am buying the ad-free version just because I want to give this guy money to make more games!

Throw back to the golden age of western rpgs.Tongue in cheek humor. Fun lving system. I enjoyed grinding becuase of side quest rewards. I highly recommend this if you enjoy turn based rpgs.

the only complaint I have is that after a battle the sound of the money being counted up continues until I quit the game please fix

Controls are a little unresponsive at times but it plays well overall. A great piece to bring the nostalgia of 8 bit adventuring into your life.

Would get 5* if it weren't for the crashes. I save often so it isn't a big deal. Tons of fun and very entertaining. I can't put it down!

I wish movement could be done by a tap, as it's the only thing that requires you to use both hands.

The controls can be tedious at times and there are a lot of ads, but the commentary is hilarious and the game is a ton of fun! Would give 5 stars if there wasn't an ad every time you moved to a new screen...
