Star Nomad 2 for Android
Great game. No glitches found after 9 hours of gameplay. Looks simple. UI is easy to grasp. BUT...ALOT of depth it is a gamers game not a casual gamers game. All I can say is its about time. Great job Devs. Just go easy in the updates. They tend to mess up a great game like this. Great so far. Thanks for making this gamer happy. (Playing on Iconia One 10 tablet with only 1 gig of ram flawlessly by the way...lol).
GREAT game and excellent dev work - despite being an early version, after hours, I have found no bugs so far. With such depth it most definitely delivers hundreds of hours of gameplay. Huge thank you!!! Minor FR: flying between planets takes quite a bit of time, especially the distant ones, and can be repetitive in particular when playing as a merchant. It would be great to enable an 'instant jump' based on the map.
Anyone with a passing interest in rogue-like space combat / trade sim should get this. I have it now on Steam, iPad and now Android, that is how good it is. The developer is very 'hands on' with replying to messages and requests which is so refreshing these days. You really feel the the dev has poured his heart and soul into it and it shows in the high standards and quality of the game. The game is running exceptionally well on my Galaxy S7 Edge. Smooth as butter and exceptionally responsive. The depth to this game is astounding. I honestly think I will be playing this game for a very long time to come. The pirate is my character of choice, that little bit of extra fighting skill and decent starter ship helps to get you going in this uncompromising universe. After a while though, once you have built up some skills and purchased a better ship and equipment then you will be able to go toe to toe with anything the game throws at you. I cannot recommend this game enough.
Asked the developer a few questions about how to get involved in large scale wars and he was responsive and quick. Great game, great dynamics. Am having a fun time influencing outcomes of conflicts now. I'm playing on rogue like difficulty.
Just one thing im having trouble with. Playing as a pirate on roguelike and no matter how many union or hunters I kill in pirate territories or drugs I smuggle my pirate standing won't go above 605. Am I doing something wrong here. Would really love to get some different ships. And everyone else hates me, being a pirate.
On a moto G turbo, it's a little slow. Not a fan of the controls anyway, even with alternate. For a phone, with lots of ships on the screen, it's a little cluttered. Edit : Thanks for the reply. I've played some more and starting to enjoy it. I'll hold onto the game as it was in a sale and will be better when I upgrade!
Lot of neat things to discover as you do your thing. Would love to see a few QOL improvements such as auto-nav towards a gate or planet so I don't accidentally overshoot or making the UI buttons just a tad larger to ensure my inputs go through. Gamewise I'd love to at least see partial exp rewards and/or bounties on kills...it's a little infuriating to work down a target and have a stray shot negate all your hard work. It'd also be great to earn exp for making profitable trade decisions to reward merchants.
the controls are a real pain. It's so hard to control the ship. Also I've noticed that the game drains battery VERY fast. Too bad.
I really like the look of the game so far, don't understand how to get my ship to shoot though. I've toggled the auto shoot thing on the bottom right and selected target ship but no shooting happens. Heelppp
Game has incredible potential, but the controls are terrible. The center should have a movement deadzone to allow the ship to rotate without translating. Then the farther you drag your finger from center of the control circle it should adjust your translation velocity. Additionally, there should be an option to disable the auto-pilot. Let me know when you fix this, I'll let a bigger software developer check this game out since they're looking for mini-game developers to create a game within a game.
Will not start, shows startup screen, flashes white then white bar appears at bottom of screen and black screen above it, would like a fix or refund, cannot refund through Google due to it refunding right when I bought it so I bought it again, EDIT: Apologies, just took it a while to load
It's a pretty good game overall. It's fun, and complex. Also, I would like to ask how to loot cargo dropped by other ships? I'm at 15-20hrs in game, it's a really really good game overall. But what I can say pretty much is this game definitely need more polish. Also some quality of life features, just traveling between systems takes quite a lot of time. It's pretty hard to respond on invasions and also trying to beat a faction is pretty troublesome, it's not hard in the sense of difficulty it's more of annoying. I really hope you can force your faction to invade a planet. Also, being a pirate seems to be senseless since you don't really have a purpose or a real objective.
Star Nomad 2 is a fun and difficult game. It's visually and tactically engaging. The physics of flight, particularly in combat, take a little getting used to but that does provide an added challenge. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys sandbox play. My main gripe, however (there has to be one), is that the audio does not loop. For example, sometimes I need to stay on a planet for an extended period of time to review abilities, weapons, load outs, etc, and the music eventually just stops. This is quite unpleasant in the dead of night, in a dark room with headphones on. This is sometimes followed by a strange clicking sound. The same applies to space, where if I stay in a zone too long without switching actions (like engaging in combat), the music stops, which is unfortunate because the soundtrack is quite nice. The other thing is that there is no tracker once a task/mission is accepted. Also, a menu/exit button would be helpful to switch profiles without having to terminate the game process and then restart.
I have been playing this game for a week now and I am starting to have a blast. Once I figured out how to trade successfully and figured out combat, this game has been hard to put down. Great job to the developer,
Love the game! Question, lets say i run out of money, am i permanently stranded in space now or?
The best game if you love sfi and I wish more people would record video on this game and I have played the star nomad 1 also because I love sfi games and I rate it 5 stars on every thing best sfi game on the play store ever
the game is okay. UI sucks. can't seem to get any ships that I buy. every time I buy a ship I can't access it and for some reason it sells ONLY the weapons on my current ship. Lame!
A great in depth game that has given me many hours of game play and still finding new things to do.
This game is amazing. The fact that so much thought and depth can be put into such a basic looking game is amazing. This game focuses on gameplay and deep intricacies to shape the Galaxy you're in. We need more like it!
Worth every penny and then some,Brilliant and Fantastic Game that is on my tablet..Thank You
Enjoying the space adventure genre? Pick up this nice add to any space game collection.
Controls can use some fixen...lock on for missile..everytime i hit fire loose lock on target..and control of ship took some time to get use too..but other then that I spend hours playing...love it.....wife hates it...lol
Hope to see more added and controller support. But for what it is its pretty good so far...
Crashes a lot on my device
That is some polished work from a passionate developer! Kudos! I love it.
Really great game, only wish that it would stop pausing my music
Finally, a polished 4x space simulation that I've been looking for
Great game
Hour's of fun.
Just looking at he screenshots and reviews already I knew this one was going to be worth it! EDIT: Played a little bit, and the one thing I dislike is the controls. I don't like that there's only 2 speeds. Fast and Stop. I liked the previous controls because I had much more control and smoothness over my ship. You should definitely add a "Classic Ship Control" in the options and you'll get the 5th star back. Thanks dev! Great work so far! Keep the updates coming and people will flock!
A deeper game then one would think. Choices matter. Factions economy matters. Rogue difficulty is almost hardcore. Losing you're ship and all upgrades in painful. So going in half cocked no care in the world, not in this game. Death matters. Wish it looked as nice as PC but I get that isn't doable.
Had trouble understanding how the trade database worked when I figured it out smooth sailing for this merchant. Controls are a small learning curve I am adjusting well enough too. Keep up the good work. Pilots pick your battles!!!
I've been looking for a mobile game like this for a long time. Reminds me of the old Elite games. Excellent AI. My only complaint is that maneuvering slow ships can be overly finicky as there's no way to turn in place. The progression of upgrading your ship piece by piece is extremely rewarding.
Offers depth that you rarely find in a mobile game. I recommend anyone who enjoys space games to buy it
No wonder this has only 100 downloads. Some basic missions to help you start become a merchant or hunter etc., is seriously needed, the tutorial is totally inadequate with only a couple of sentences on the gui. Im not going online to hunt down guides on how to play a mobile game. Uninstalled refunded, let me know when you have some decent missions to guide new players.
Definitely one of the worst games I have played on Android. Boring fetch quests and clunky ship handling make for a terrible experience. The high price point is to fool you into thinking there might be something interesting in the game. There isn't.
Crashes as soon as i open it
Haven't opened the game just yet. But I bought the steam version when it first came out. Bought it again here. This is an excellent space sim game. I'll enjoy every single bit of it. Edit: using warp is very slow, might want to simplify the animation for warping. I can't seem to find a way to manually pick up lifepods. - Fraziel
This game is amazingly deep and satisfies my space gaming itch while on the go. It's a massive step up from the first game and has enough content to last me ages! Well worth every penny!

This is one of the best games I've played on a mobile device. A great sandbox game where everything you do will have an effect on the game world. You do whatever you want. There is no right or wrong choices. It's not a one-man-show game where you can take everything down on your own. You start off weak and vulnerable. You earn credits resolving conflicts, planetary crisis, or taking down pirates. The game picks up once you can afford new ships and modules. You then choose who to side with and wipe out their enemies in a planetary conquest. The ships from across all factions are surprisingly very well balanced. All of this is done by a single developer and he has out-done most big companies in terms of originality, lore, depth, replayability and customer support. Hats off!
