The Whist is a card game and It is belongs to a family that includes bridge whist and bridge, each of which developed in succession from the original game of whist. The essential features of card games in the whist family are: four people usually play, two against two as partners; a full 52 card deck is dealt out evenly so that each player holds 13 cards; the object of play is to win tricks, and win or loss is determined by the number of tricks taken (as distinct from games such as pinochle, in which it is determined by the value of card points taken in tricks). Whist trick taking originated in 17th-century England.
A standard 52 card pack is used. The cards in each suit rank from highest to lowest: A K Q J 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2. Whist is played by four players, who play in two partnerships with the partners sitting opposite each other. Players cut or draw cards to determine partners, with the two highest playing against the lowest two, who have seating rights. The players then cut for deal. It is strictly against the rules to comment on the cards in any way. One may not comment upon the hand one was dealt nor about one's good fortune or bad fortune. One may not signal to one's partner.

You can't be serious???? Why would anyone want to play this app when the CPU partner plays against you and leads to the point on every trick turned? It over cuts... Refuses to throw off... And won't follow a lead even when it's blantenly obvious that it's partner is flush in the suit indicated by the lead following three couped tricks based on trumping the suit being led.. Then, turns around and leads directly to the opposing team in their favored suit. It might as well go sit on their side a the table!

opponent trumped with ace ...my computer partner then threw away a trump card.... the king..... omg.. its like the computer partner plays against you

Freezes after first hand and then says whist has unfortunately stopped and report but that doesn't do any good.

1st - cannot change the skill level. these players suck....especially the partner. 2nd - wanna turn off the card highlight situation. 3rd - give different people to look at... maybe a coupla boys, maybe some browner skin tones or different hair types, maybe an older person or two.

It would be nice to have a game designed by someone who can actually play whist. Any proper whist player will tell you it is a partner game and you do not take your partners trick unless you must, third player plays as high as they can unless the are not able to beat cards already played. As a regular whist player I found this game nothing like whist.

It would be nice to have a game designed by someone who can actually play whist. Any proper whist player will tell you it is a partner game and you do not take your partners trick unless you must, third player plays as high as they can unless the are not able to beat cards already played. As a regular whist player I found this game nothing like whist.
