I can't believe no one's mentioned the pocket prices! Or the character stories and sound effects. The original game used to tell you what the averaged value of a drug/gun in your pocket was. That way you knew if you are making a profit or not. Or you could reduce the value by purchasing more of a drug at a lower price (ie: you bought 10 weed at 500, but it goes to 300 in the next city. So you decide to buy 10 more, making your pocket value 400.) I find this missing bit of info incredibly important.

I am having a blast with this game. Only issue I have is you pretty much know what drugs to invest in after a few games. A few drugs don't ever go very high like cocaine heroin, let alone have events like speed and opium. Just wish they would include other drugs as well.

Need a shop. An entrepreneur like yourself needs a shop on the black market to procure certain necessary items...like pockets or a car built for drug running or possibly a private jet with a pilot for hire. You shouldn't have to do all the work yourself, should you?

3rd review update. It does not save progress after playing properly. Has gotten worst...the app does not track your progress anymore. NEEDS A MUGGING UPDATE. AFTER BUYING 4 GUNS, THE PLAYER SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEFEND THEMSELVES AGAINST MUGGERS. SERIOUSLY, IT'S DATED...

I thought I was being paranoid but this game is now rigged. I obtained an older version and confirmed it. Now It's always working against you, it can detect you're doing well then screw you over any way it can. It was amazing 12 months ago now it's just a pointless grind that gets you nowhere. Update this game to its former glory because now it's basically unplayable.

LOVE THIS GAME! Less is more. Simple in concept, thus highly addictive game play! Love the Black theme. Great job on this! Author: just a note to improve the game play. On the original game for the Ipaq and Palm Pilot, when stopped by the police, the game had three options "Run", "Fight" & "Stay". Being able to "stay" makes the game better because if I have no dope, I don't need to fight or run and risk damage or money loss. It would also be nice, if the game had options with the muggers, such as "fight" & "run", would make for more action. Just some thoughts.

Almost like the original from back in the early 2000s. It's just missing when it went international, u could borrow more from the loan shark, and he would beat u up for being late and all that

Why the hell doesnt my high score update? No matter what i get it says high score 14mil. Pretty annoying dope wars guy/s.

This is a horrible game. How do you have a gun that you shot at the police with but you can't shoot somebody mugging you? How does one person mugging you steal over a million dollars? How do they carry it off? This is a horrible game

Just hate they took away the interest made when money is in the bank.. that really hurts... put that back & I'll give 5 stars

I really love this game. But I have to ask something. I saw that whenever you complete a game, you get a cash amount. I don't see it transfer to my Google Play account or anything, so even though this might sound like a ridiculous question, I have to ask. Can you actually make Google Play money playing this game?

Need more cops and some other activities like prostitution and gambling, racketeering. A new rap career. I should be able to bribe the cops and a judge if need be. The loan shark should be harder to pay off. And throw in a VD for good reality how about some dogs. Jealous girlfriends, visits from you PO, failed drug test, being put in jail, baby moma child support, buying some blind or a new whip, or a big screen. I should be able to hire help people to sell for me and to protect me. Who may rob me.

Needs more game mechanics. On around day 30, it starts to feel redundant. Cant buy pockets when i want to. Wont let me sell first before i buy pockets. Maybe a store would be nice. Hired thugs, a large bag, massive shipments so when it gets caught players can feel the burn, a private jet to avoid muggings, more places, rumors about police ops so you know when and where a raid's gonna be... Things like that. Just suggestions.

First of all, I love this game. One thing I would like to see added is fighting the muggers. Like with the police. I've shot at federal agents, I'm a billionaire, I wouldn't let some punk take 5 million away from me omw to the bank, without consequences! Once you kill the Federal agent, there's nothing left in this area. Also I wish the pockets weren't random. Make them purchasable like guns. but they get more and more expensive as you buy them. Otherwise, I love the game! I did notice a bug, if you have past a certain amount of money, you can't withdraw all of it.

Good game but I think it needs more guns, more action as far as robbery. And I think it should expand as far as world maps And teaming up with other players. But overall it's fun and entertaining, no freeze or lag

Frustrating..... Was good at first and after some time had a good game plan but now you can't get anywhere. Say you buy cocaine at a low price, you can hold that for the rest of the game and not see a cocaine bust. Before that every other move a was bust. Cops bust you after spending all your money on a good buy. In the end I deleted the game.

I love the concept. Pretty badass. But like a few people have said it's kind of rigged. You buy a drug and you will rarely see it above the price you bought it for. Kind of hard to make any sort of profit. It is possible but you just have to wait for it to come.

The game has some truly annoying flaws. For example, if you have NO DRUGS in your inventory, how can the cops "seize your stash and take half your cash"?. Also, if you run out of money you can't go to the loan shark to get more cash. All in all, a pale imitation of the original Windows game.

Saved games don't always work. The user interface is a bit clunky, and they really need a list by highest price so you don't have to search every time.

Great game but sucks when you press move, an ad takes you to the app store, plus when you give up/save and on exit. Pop up ads suck especially when you trick someone into clicking it. Booo.

I played this game originally years ago and recently got reacquainted again. One problem is it makes my phone run very hot for a programme which is not high on graphics.

We all know that this game is way better than the original one. But it's too quiet. I think you should add some sounds in the game play. A gunshot sound when you got busted for example.

Real happy to have found this. Played the original back in the 90's like a mad man. Would be nice to be able to purchase additional pockets instead of having it offered to you randomly

The game play sticks true to the original and it's fun.. BUT.. The rounds are not random. They don't allow you to make as much money. If you buy whatever drug, lo and behold that same one either won't appear for more than a few rounds or just appear but at a ridiculously cheap price. The older versions allowed you more chances to make money. The developer seems to be hating on us..

I love this game because it's a great way to pass time when your bored and it's pretty fun and it gets interesting but the only thing that I have a problem with that is I feel that if you're in pain customer you should be able to have a loan shark

Just goes to show drug dealing never takes a holiday lol 10/10 would make millions selling cocaine after a raid creates high demand again. It's economical!

This game is area way to pass time or compete with friends. I bought extended time limits so that I can play forever. Right now I've made about 2 billion dollars and it's still pretty fun. Anyway love it.

Reminds a little of the 2.1 PC version from somewhere around 2000. It was never that interesting anyway. Just a quick game for killing time. A good fit for a cell phone.

I hit a high score of 45000000 as soon as I downloaded the game months ago, and now I can't get over 20000000.... It seems the game does whatever it can to screw you over

Great copy of the old favourite of mine, but the high scores are messed up. I finished with $500 mil but it said the high score was 230k.

Like the title says, just as fun as I remember the game being except I feel like it should have at least gone beyond getting mugged in a subway. I wanna buy large amounts of coke, I need large quantities of cash. Why the hell am I taking the subway only to get mugged for millions? I really can't spend a bit for a cab? A car rental maybe? A frekin limo? A dealer moving that much cash ain't taking no subway lol. For crying out loud there's a bank, so clearly no one asks questions in this world.

I love this game!!!! Didn't even miss the graphics or music that most games have..I can't stop playing. It's exciting, creative and a wonderfully made game..

I've played since 98'~99' on pda's, the game itself makes you wanna get bigger bids for taking decisions (in game) You'll never get tired of this game, it's worth the ad-free version.

I was only a kid barely a teen when I discovered this game on my mom's computer instantly I was addicted hours day's week's a junky at first click I love it now it's a little different miss some of the croakiness of the first one with weapons and opinions of what to use and ammo we need to expand on the idea and concepts of the game don't change the gameplay just make it more original and keep it modern with Advancement's and updates mabe earn permanent starting optional equipment and loot I love it

This game is pretty good, had it on a floppy disk about 10 years ago and I see it is still the same game just a lot more visually appealing now and I can get it on my LG Leon so thats a plus. SCORE!!!!!

I have been playing dope wars for a little more than fifteen years and this version is right on the money just like the original version even down to the pricing. If your looking for the best version this is it.

How can i still get mugged if I'm packin heat?? I say make it to where you can get mugged if you don't have a gun, but if you do have a gun, you kill the guy who tries mugging you. 5 stars if you can do that!!

High score never saves on leader boards is saying my top was only .05 instead of my 15 million. If this could be fixed it would get more stars

Love this game... but... a suggestion that I believe carries some merit, an interesting feature would be that if you own more than one gun, your chances of hitting the law enforcers increases, maybe even taking a greater chunk of their health points too. i.e: owning 2 of the 4 guns is better than 1... 3 of the 4 is better than 2 etc etc. Possibly make it a feature that can be enabled or disabled through the options menu?

Loved this game for years, though I do recall older versions being able to change cities... Playing the 60 day, high score - $169M, low score - $66. Keeps me coming back.
