Canabalt HD for Android
Maybe I just suck at this kind of game. In any case my average play time lasts about 30 seconds. Then I'm dead and have to try again. Not fun at all. Great music though. Two stars for that.
I played the web browser version of this game before. So i when found the app, i just had to try it just to see if it was any different. The game play is near identical with a bit of differing scenery on the classic levels. The addition of extras was a wonderful surprise.
The game doesn't seem to always respond to my touch. Sometimes I have pound the screen until it responds. This frustrates me because this game has so much potential.
I like the concept of this game. It is an endless runner, but it is fast paced and exciting unlike most. The graphics are pleasing and controller support is nice. I have a few problems with it. It gets so fast paced that it is difficult for me to see what is ahead, so I have to collide the character with objects to slow down which I find strange. There is a slight delay between the character hitting the ground and being able to jump, which makes all the difference if the character lands on the edge of a building. The music is nice at first but gets repetitive after a while, hardly what would warrant headphones. It would be nice if a few songs shuffled. I may just suck at this game, but it is nearly impossible to judge how to jump from a suspended billboard or I-beam without being able to see the buildings underneath and the platforms that fall from the sky which I am expected to jump on are nearly impossible to judge before I am forced to jump and send the character into the abyss.
This game hs survived 3 phone changes so of course I love it, but I hv a couple FEATURE REQUESTS the buildings shud nt crumble till you actually land on them, that wd b more fun Secondly, it wd b grt if I understood what d achievements meant; I js unlocked Runslinger n I hv no freakin clue what the Dark Tower is!
Tom Cruise style????,A mission impossible type of game.. Love it
A genre-starter, Canabalt is simple enough to come back to weeks or even years later and get more out of.
This is a super fun app. I remember playing the flash version on my PC and this is more fun with the specific levels and whatnot.
I found this game through a modern arcade machine in a hipster homebrew bar in 2011 and I had loved this game since
This is d simplest n best running game ever, period. The new concept of levels is super fun too, love Defenestration! Awesome guys, simplicity n brilliant design at its finest. This is a model to learn from! p.s. Aft going thru some reviews below, Yup fantastic music, great animation esp glass shards n flying birds n sad so few people know of this game.
It's an ok game.. My only complaint is that oftentimes when I push the screen for my character to jump, it won't actually jump... I have to pound on my phone in order to get the guy to jump. Maybe if the developers could make it more responsive, I'd give it 5 stars.
And awesome soundtrack, apocalyptic background, fast reflexes, Make this an awesome game, that will have you wanting more! A must buy!
I run it on a nexus 6p and the menu isn't so nice on this resolution. Otherwise I love it.
Payed $3 for that amazing music. Having the best runner game come attached just made the deal sweeter.
This game is awesome good music also'leaderboards* I always end up coming back to re download this game. This was the first game I ever bought on Google play store. 3-4-13. √
Played it for a minute were's my option for refund :(
If you want a real runner game, then buy this game. None of that mobile guff.
This is by far one of the best runners. The music and the different modes make this the only runner I need.
I have this game on my Commodore 64. Great game and nice music.
Favorite game, usually the only one I download on my phones
I've played Canabalt from the browser days, and I maintain to this day that the most disappointing thing about it is that too few people know it exists. Incredibly underexposed example of the endless runner perfected. Simple, unrelenting, and with one of the most effortlessly stylish aesthetics I've seen in a game yet. Absolutely a must play.
I remember when this made it online during that little contest and I've loved it since. Everything about the app version is perfect. Challenges, saving the music, switching between HD and classic graphics, new modes and characters, this is well worth the price and this is a developer that does everything right and thus deserves your support.
Recently bought Nvidia Shield TV and would love to play this on the big screen!
The game was finally fixed, i don't know how, but i can finally give it the 5 stars it deserves.
VECTOR IS EXACTLY LIKE THINK GAME BUT 10000000000000000000000000 TIME BETTER AND WAS THE FIRST OF THERE TO COME OUT!!!!
I have this game on my Commodore 64. Great game and nice music.
This is a fun way to pass the time, and there are lots of different game modes to keep it interesting.
The game doesn't seem to always respond to my touch. Sometimes I have pound the screen until it responds. This frustrates me because this game has so much potential.

Canabalt is simply a classic, great music and gameplay... perfect
I just wish it had immersive mode..
This game is awesome good music also'leaderboards* I always end up coming back to re download this game. This was the first game I ever bought on Google play store. 3-4-13. √
Very good game. The C64 version is as good.
This is a super fun app. I remember playing the flash version on my PC and this is more fun with the specific levels and whatnot.
Just a simple awesome game
I LOVE THIS GAME
I'm a game player sense my Atari 2600 and the NES that came out on my 10th birthday 10/09/85. And this is a freaking simplistic master piece of gaming. I'm new to android and the games on my tablet. So this is like my 50th game bought. And am like what the he'll took me so long to buy this??? It's awesome, great, challenging, and fantastic sound and music to go with the level design of each level. See why it's so well loved. And know has the J-machine aka gaggillTRON to love it more. Get this game if you want a challenging game for the rest of your life......Oh ya killer achievements to boot. Love them dam achievements.
The one game I keep coming back to after I'm tired of other games. It doesn't nag you with ads, microtransactions, or anything else. Fun and simple premise - run for your life.
Canabalt was pretty much the original endless runner, and it still holds up today as one of the best of its genre.

Lovely, elegant, simple, and fun. The only annoying aspect is that the game sometimes ignores traps, and you end up missing jumps because of this. This has been a problem since I began playing years ago, and still is on my current Pixel XL, so it doesn't seem to be related to the performance of the hardware.
