Hexxagon is an addictive abstract strategy board game played by two or three players on a hexagonal board.
In each round the player can either multiply to the neighbouring fields or jump to a distance of two, where all the opponent's pieces (surrounding your newly placed piece) will become yours! The game ends when there are no more free fields left. The winner is who has more pieces by the end. So get as many as you can!
You can play with puzzle mode where you can unlock your future rating boards. Here you can find over 100 levels with different themes fitting for the level. You can also score completion points based on the difficulty you set in. In puzzle mode the difficulty goes from one bronze star to three gold stars. The more stars you get the higher your puzzle score will be.
In rating mode you can play on the rating boards you unlocked in puzzle mode, rating scores work as in every ELO like rating system. Here the difficulties are from 200 to 2400 ratings.
In Zen mode we are giving 12 boards for free so you can try out the 3 player mode. Also you can play with any level, you've unlocked in puzzle mode, with any side of your choosing. Here you can achieve points with every win; you also have a score multiplier based on difficulty. Your score has no limits anymore, making it endless fun :).
In PVP mode you can play with your friends.

The game itself is like most reviews say, its fun but a bit gimmicky. The ads are what makes me knock stars off though. You will be playing and mid game you get pop up ads that refuse to close or go away no matter what you do. The only solution, crash the game and restart it and hope for no more popups. After a few pop ups i close it and wont play it again for a while out of annoyance. If you can tolerate the very intrusive ads give it a try, otherwise find one without the ads they are out there.

It's the best version of this game on the market that anyone has made. My only complaint is that several of the boards designs make it impossible to see if there's an empty space in an area or if it's actually a tile. I would happily give this game five stars if that was fixed.

Love this game. The puzzle-games are a bit "gimmicky" for my taste, so I play only the classic board in rating mode, over and over. It never gets dull. Much like chess, go or reversi/othello. Speaking of which I've got their Reversi-app installed also and its great too! Highly recomended.

One of only 2 games to survive my previous purges of unused apps. For me, very replayable without becoming increasingly too difficult. Highly useful for public commutes and short time-filling, can be exited quickly for future continued play.

AI in this game is awesome, and there is 5 different difficulty level which you can actually say the difference between them and it gets smarter and harder with each level. But finishing all episodes with all difficulties would take so much time to make it a "goal". Also, the visuals and menus are poorly designed, sometimes its really hard to see the grids in the game. With this kind of great programming, and great idea, this game would be so much better if it would be shorter with little bit more of better graphics. Nevertheless, with all that said, it's still a great game to play and hard to stop after you start to play.

I have been playing Hexagon since 2004, if not longer, as a flash game on my computer. This version is the closest I have found since 2011. It truly is a unique game that has obviously brought me many hours of entertainment. The app did stop working for a while, but that was a long time ago now. I heard the ne Hexagon HD is better, Im about to find out.
