Tales of Illyria:Destinies for Android
The regular fights on here are like boss fights where you can't win some of them period. I spent 36 dollars upgrading my gear to give me a head start to developing my characters, and it was a waste of money because the a.i. just suped up my opponents, so it was pointless. I had just bought 1000 worth of gold for one dollar, and my character dropped 678. Wtf?!?! They aren't trying to make money because you can only purchase 1000 gold at a time, and doing that is a waste because buying nice gear doesn't help
Travel gets a little dull, but the 99cebt price tag is worth it. If I had the money, I'd even consider the 10 dollar DLC bundle. Edit: Really fast dev response, too, I didn't even notice till the next day! I sent you an email, Chad.c:
Two problems with this game..first dev get rid of the hunting and alchemy checks
A true gem. This game has many hard time but definitely reminds me of Oregon trail in that retrospect. Very funny in some mental and even had the random event with Oregon trail characters! It's a great game, unique stories and characters. Even went and bought the dlc and armor as well. It helps in the fights but not enough that you feel overpowered. Doesn't take away from the fun of the game.
From the hardcore for the hardcore , full of content almost endless possibility , Need some practice and replay but when you know which skill is the best , which fighting style suits you and which spell is important , the whole endless fantasy world open for you. a must have and Not Pay to win I promise you.Oh one thing can you make ignoring skill more noticable?set up good ai is key to win and i hope it to be more easy
I have onee issue that has happened to me. Shamina left my party and the game said it returned the liquid armor spell stuff i bought her but it didn't. I paid 3 dollars for that and would like it returned b.s. k to me. I've spent close to 20 dollars buying amulet of doom and 3 sets of armor and rings but willing to buy more and the packs and story but please fix this. Now i don't have proper mage armor for her in this play through
Pros: Compelling story (six campaigns), likeable characters, addictive, has a lot of potential and should be ported to PC and consoles. Compulsive 'serious' players should love it. Superb replay value. Cons: Throws impossible fights at you at times, which can't be avoided, can't be won unless retrying a lot or via bombs that you have to pay for. Difficulty level no longer selectable, though IAP are optional its tough going at the start without them. Can be a time-sink but not in a good way. Attacks from the stronger foes are nigh unblockable and even tank characters dropped quick.
I have been playing this game for almost a week now, and I love it. I ended up even buying the quest pack for 10$. I have a few questions, or maybe suggestions, depending on how you look at it. Like why does dispell stop the bleeding effect and heal doesn't? Also there is almost no decent armor to be found in Vasena which is very disappointing. A curved sword with plate armor just doesn't look or feel right to me in most cases. I have a few more i can't think of off the top of my head just yet. Regardless of the minuscule issues I have this is all in all a great game, so keep it up!
I love this game! The Art Design is pleasant to play to and a story not often seen in mobile games at least from what I've played. Cheap, fun, no play to win, and dlc that actually adds so much more story! Definitely worth getting all the dlc quest.
Honestly this a gem, I play this at work, at home, on my off time when I'm not PC gaming, while I'm cooking.. For early access it is phenomenal. Its like if mount and blade, battle brothers, dragon age 1, and Oregon trail had an orgy and this popped out. Next dlcs PLEASE throw in a story arc or escalate the contracts to the point where the kingdoms fight? As it stands I'm pretty content with the political intrigue contracts and what not, but you guys can definitely do it and I'm sure people like me will throw money at their tablets and phones.. The lore you can dig into while installing? GENIUS completely sets up new players to get a feel for the history and world their about to enter. Well done guys excited for release you have earned a fan, PLEASE DO PC A PC PORT TO STEAM!!
Its ok but one or two big let downs..the difficulty is all messed up. It needs an easy or hard setting and the random events are bs. I spend 300 on a stallion and the first time i take it out for a spin to the next town it breaks its leg? I tried walking slower with it but no change, its leg still breaks either way. it happens on almost every new game i start, its better to just start off on foot and be lucky enough to wait for a horse to come by because either way your throwing money away buying a horse that will die no matter what.
The other games were amazing. But to make your own character with different storylines, you've really done it now. I could play the whole trilogy many times.
Having problems starting a new game every time I press my origin nation takes me too my email
The game is great and the creator is nice I had a little trouble getting a good start so the creator of the game emailed me. I requested this game to everyone I know with a tablet because I tried playing it on my phone but the game was a little to big for a small device
It's like Mount and Blade had a baby with Oregon Trail. The writing is surprisingly well done, too.
This game is challenging, but sometimes i like my game to be easy.. i searched for cheats but unfortunately found none.. but this is a very great game nonetheless
Worst combat balance (spells especially) of any game I've played in the last 25 years. I curse you and your kin to ill tidings and bad luck, because a simple "screw you" does not suffice.
This game is fantastic! I must have spent an hour or so just reading the codex. Deep story and expansive unique history, finally exactly what I've been looking for on the play store! Great job!
Is the purple spider quest done or do I just need to keep traveling and none of my people fight on their own anymore I have to select their moves now and I have the ai on and the skills are not ignored
Definitely worth the 99 cents it takes to get this game, if you have 10 dollars you should consider the dlc pack because, surprisingly, it seems like they added even more content with the dlc
I'm not sure how a game could be so awesome and have one of the least effective battle AIs for your team I have ever seen.
I'll keep the game even though I can't play it because I love your other games, it's ok I want to support your efforts.
I just started and it gets difficult fast I like a good challenge. Thanks for the great game.
Solid game. A good mix of fantasy and Oregon trail. Lacks some depth, but you can burn many hours playing it.
I was immediately drawn into this, like how your desicions bare merit, excuse misspelled words, I'm used to rpg hack and slash, this is a nice change, great job!
I" get it I" don't mine playing until' I win /:)
Wraith destroyed my amazing group :( i even got overpowered but he destroyed me
Love the series, any news if there are future sequels to come out?
I'm going to start by saying this game IS WORTH THE DOLLAR. buy it try it very well written it's fun to read through. If this was a choose-your-own-adventure game easy five star. However it is not the combat aspect and gameplay ruin this game. To elaborate I played this game non-stop got my characters to a collective level of six and six party members, all party members are fully equipped all their skills that utilize individually are level 4. I use blessed curse case I match the proper elements to the proper monster, and yet at this point Random Encounters kill my entire party with ease. Perhaps it is because every companion found is a magic user or Archer because there is no way to have any freedom with who you hire into your party you just have to hope for the best. Gold is so scarce you have to choose between training skills or better equipment or having enough transportation for food drink and required first. I spent the last 4 hours going from place to place trying to locate anything that can help my characters Advanced thinking maybe I just hit a dry spot or rough patch that is not the case. This difficulty by attrition approach to the game makes it almost impossible to enjoy since it already is extremely slow in the sense of its Oregon Trail ask movement which is a great concept if it were not so difficult to actually handle the encounters. And speaking of encounters the skill system is extremely lopsided in the sense that you barely ever succeed despite having 10 of 10 of your skills which by the way also called build the train and has no chance of increasing unless you pay. This all adds up to a grinding aspect of the game where you walk back and forth between two cities or between cities with Fighters Guild and Mage guild quests which range from two types laughably easy to Impossible. If that wasn't enough to make it almost unplayable when you actually get to town even a simple trip to the chapel can end in a dragon attack which is an instant party wife since you can't even hit the Dragon because your characters are not ready to fight a dragon. This crawling pace and just terrible system of attrition reloading restarting and basically Forced Gameplay makes me want to delete this game and move on because it is just so disappointing when it started out so promising. I will however give it one more shot and roll a fighter class to allow me to maybe enjoy the game even though it's taking away my choyce I will update and edit this if I find a redeemable and just got a terrible playthrough and it's just the way it is but I feel as though the game is disjointed at best.
Simple, great, addicting. Question: if I purchase additional quest that mean I must download it?( low storage)
Love the company, love the game. Quick question, where do you go for the IAP? Edit:Found them, ty, worth it. Buy this game Edited again: when are we getting a sequel?
An excellent game, and more than worth the $1 (though I read back in 2015 you'd make it free after open beta?). Definitely one of the best, if not the best, RPG on the play store. However, it isn't perfect; the game is horribly unbalnced (mainly due to the random nature of events). One playthrough you can have gold and supplies thrown at you, and others you're fighting endless waves of enemies right outside of town and spending all your gold on injuries. Combat, too, is unbalanced. I'm almost certain it scales off of your level, meaning no matter how strong you get, the enemy is always stronger, dissuading custom builds and almost forcing you to use cookie-cutter tactics. This could use some work. Fix the balancing issues, and it would be a truly legendary game. I plan to get the DLC's as soon as I can afford them, and I'm looking forward to future titles (you should definitely stick with the create-your-own-hero theme). EDIT: I appreciate the human response. Not many developers do that. If I could give one piece of advice though: every battle doesn't need to be an epic struggle against boss-tier enemies. Sometimes it's nice to take on those old easy rats or wolves, especially right outside of town where it wouldn't make sense that there's an army of wyverns and trolls. And it would make it so the player doesn't feel like they're on a treadmill making no progress unless they resort to cheese "tactics". Save the difficult encounters for dungeons, guild requests (why is there a request to take down wolves or goblins when there's wyverns at the gates?) And wildernesses (the middle of those long stretches between distant towns). Just my suggestion; it would make battles less of a chore and would reward builds other than the cookie cutter one.
Loved the first, couldn't get into the second and loving this one.
This game is down right awesome.
Play this all the time I love it
Awesome!
Awesome character-driven RPG, with an amazing array of encounters. Considering I bought the first two pretty much as they came out, being a 70p early-adopter was a no brainer, really! Just bought the quest/guild bundle, too. The music, atmospheric sounds and artwork are all stunning here, and the fact all three games share the same assets is a boon, especially as this means the two previous titles get a facelift. Even with the launch of Fallout 4 mods, I'm addicted to this game - says it all, really!
Best 0.99 cents i've ever spent.Btw i purchased armour unlock,but i cant find where it's sold.
It's rare for a mobile game to get me hooked as deeply as a console or pc game. Kudos to the maker for achieving that. I'd like more thematic equipment that fits into each kingdoms' lore, however. The dlc armor are fine, but the plate armors were so outlandishly different that it doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the kingdom's equipment. It'd also be nice to be able to see what the enchantments on magical items actually do. Other than that, well done, I have little to complain about.

The best game I've played on mobile without any doubt. It's very playable with just the $1 base game. (I did grab the dlcs though) My only gripe is sometimes you get into seemingly impossible fights. I might just not be playing as well as I'm supposed to though however. Keep up the great work on this title.
