After playing around with this app and several other catchphrase like games, I found this one to be above them all for three main reasons. First the aesthetic was clever and created a nifty theme that wasn't too overpowering or distracting. The theme of "olde" time like font and word choice is a nice touch that makes the game a bit friendlier. It also isn't too confusing and easy to understand, which I feel some of the other apps fail by trying to imitate the original game tool too closely. The app also is very solidly built and easy to use. Many of the other apps have unusual hangups on certain features which I have yet to run into for this app. Finally the ability to add wordlists expands the life length of this game. Eventually players will become familiar with a set wordlist, so being able to add word lists keeps the game from becoming stable. Also adding customization gives the app a more personable touch and can allow for user sharing of wordlists, which is a great idea. For those looking for an affordable app that can provide a lasting enjoyable game to play with a group, I encourage you to buy wordlord.
