Detective's Choice (Choices Game)

It's been a couple o days since download n i m in love with this app. I m a blind user n enjoy the reading expirence a lot. This takes the reading experience one level up. I loved the choice option. My decisions turn the storyline. Moreover we can go back to the point we made mistake n correct it. The acheivements r motivating. Here I d like to add one thing. If a player has lives with him n completes a book with few acheivements n all parameters having some value then a book should b given free for playing

This is one of those CYOA games that I like. I have played many such games and there are only a few that are good. This one is really good. Except the mild sexual content, which some people like, but I don't. So I'm rating this 4

BEST choose-your-own-adventure series on Google play! Hands down, bar none! BONUS: The first story is FREE and its the FULL story not just a couple of chapters like the other guys. It was so good in fact that I bought the next story without hesitation and it was only $2.99! that's the best DEAL your going to find for such a well written and fully realized noir crime style story such as this one. If you don't at least give it a shot then you are doing yourself a grave injustice.

The story starts like any other stereotypical detective arc...but then spirals into the unknown like a fish growing legs and learning to walk on land. I love this story and some of the characters are interesting to say the least. An easy 5 stars from someone who loves to read a good story. The writer has huge potential...

It was a great game, but the 12+ fact is something to consider, please:) I am so sad I have to pay for another story! But it was addictive and very well made. I rated four because of the paying thing, but well, you need to get paid for a great game, don't you?

An amazing game I have reached the first checkpoint the story is thrilling,suspenseful and sensual just the right amount. The story choices are also great and frequently alter the paths. The life,money and cool bars are a nice touch. Good work! But super disappointed that's it's not fully free.

I really liked this. Being able to make your own choices helps you feel like you're actually there witnessing it all. To bad the rest of the stories aren't free, either way reading the first volume was worth it. Thanks for the great read!

A GREAT STORY, WELL WRITTEN (storyline +10). The gipsy amulet was not used (storyline -1) by Jack (*common name* coolness -1). Only one volume free (money -1). HENCE A RATING OF 7/10 WHICH TRANSLATES TO 4/5.

Very good. I would like the options to do what it says though. If the option's are follow or don't follow and while following whoever I lose contact with them and end up doing the same thing that I would hsve if I had not followed said person, then you lose the magic of the game. Tbis doesn't seem to occur to often, however. The writing is superb, the story is intriguing and the gameplay is great.

It's so cool with the choices and some plot twist. It kind of reminds me of the game set in the 40s called L.A. NOIRE. If you love this game like I do I suggest you play la noire. A note to the developer, I think you did an amazing job. I think you should pair with rockstar games to create an la noire 2, in modern day our noire times. Sincerely, Joel Johnson

Beuatuflully written play by pkay pulp fiction! Free to play?? This is one of my favorites, 10/10. Only the most jaded will be slightly dissappointed. Totally dug it, ready for more chapters ^_^

Nice, but can be better, just can't put my mind on it. It's cool for once to make some output choices while reading. You should try a full on novel. Just saying, I like long stories.

I'm on the second volume as of right now. I'm loving cause its kinda cheesy 1930s noir dialogue, but that's part of its charm to me

So far so good, very interesting and addictive. Not happy with the prices for the future novels though. Still in the air if I am willing to pursue the future stories. Right now, times are tough and money is very tight.

I've read/played other Choose Your Own... Apps and most are predictable. But not this one! Keeps you on your toes and even provides a chuckle or 2! Can't wait to read the others!

On the brief side compared to their Paladins volume 1, but to be fair, it doesn't have the ready material of an entire book already written. Still a great game for as long as it lasts!

I am really picky about what I read but I have been dying to start reading again, and also I like role playing games. I originally thought it was going to be really corny but once I started reading the story and choosing answers I just got addicted it's like every answer is a personalized experience, and also it hones your skills and helps you understand consequences to certain actions. I love ittttt!!!!!!

It's awesome! At first when I read the description I thought it would be stupid but then I wondered why people loved it. Then I downloaded it by pure curiosity and loved it! Great story! I want to try your other games too!

The game itself was cool but I had it before and I didn't have to pay for the next story...it's dumb please remove the part where you have to pay and will be 5 stars

Only the first story is free. You have to pay $2.99 for the other stories. I read that part and uninstalled immediately. Waste of my time.

Kinda shocking how fun it was. I usually play action or sports games, not reading games... Not sure why I tried this but it's fun. It kills time and the story is gripping. Nice app guys...

Beautifully crafted adventure. The game never let's up on it's story and always manages to captivate you. It never slows down and I don't feel like it has any pacing issues. Your choices matter, which is important in games such as this, and they also affect the story which is another key element. The witty writing and clever choices make this a story that I will be playing through a few times. I would definitely recommend this game.

Highly enjoyable. I've only just started playing & have died 3 times already, but am happy to start at tbe beginning & try again. Will defo be purchasing tbe other stories

Loving this so far, i am an avid reader so had an idea it would be my sort of thing. The onky thing i would bring up is visuals, even some graphics to put faces to names, in a comic book style would be perfect. Even without these changes i will continue to play.

I have loved this investigative game to the fullest. It feels so real and happening. Big up to this great mind that thought alike. Fun pact, mental pact, scary pact... There is a lot to say. The only thing I miss here are pictures but I always recall I have read and liked so many novels without a single picture. Salute......

Really well done. I used to love those choose-your-own-adventure books when i was a kid. This is essentially a more mature digital version of those books. The story line is quite good, so far it has kept my interest piqued enough to continue with other available stories. I recommend giving it a try

Great game. I don't mind paying for something like that. But 4 books only? Maybe you should keep going. The character is very likeable, universe is great. There is potential. The only thing that I would suggest is making sure that different choices lead to entirely different scenarios and results.

I like gritty novels and so far this fits the bill. I'd like the option of going back in the story to make a different choice without having to start over again. I can go back in an actual book, why not this? No matter, it's a pretty good story and that's what matters.

I went onto this recently and found that one of the good features, unlocking things with points you earned was removed. Although I still like it, I find that update to be a little bit snide, especially when leaving in the description of how many points was needed to unlock something.

I downloaded this app to have a quick form of entertainment that I could pick up and drop at any time. The stories are well written and fun to read through multiple times exploring all the different avenues. But there's a reason the first story is free; you'll be hooked!

Story was interesting, but the writing was simple, predictable, and grammatical errors were annoying, especially for a paid story. Better than some of the other CYOA stories out there, though. I bought the second volume, but didn't think the 3rd would be worth it.

Amazing story. Keeps me on my toes. But I keep noticing spelling errors. That kind of takes me out of the moment when I see them.

Not much of a reader but this really is interesting. life or death depending on your choices. wish there was narration but im sure that is asking too much

Shame it had to end but its better than trying to drag it out, left me wanting more.

Really liked the way the detective story was woven . Kept me addicted to it. Choosing an option every now and then, including the naughty ones with an outcome - reward or loss added to the excitement.

I'm really liking this even though it's somewhat cliché the writing is interesting enough to keep my interest even though there's some typos and corny banter

A fantastic adventure! The story kept me constantly hooked and I could actually relate and feel for the characters in the first volume. The mystery and tension blended in perfectly with the charismatic detective. I look forward to reading the other three volumes (which do need to be purchased for an additional $2.99, a cost that is surely worth the money).

This was a fun story. Like that you get a chance to go back to check point if you mess up.

I never thought I would become so hooked on a game like this!!! It deserves more than 5 stars! Its so surreal and I find myself actually feeling the emotions of the character! I absolutely love this!! I don't want it to end!!!
