Gorillas

Just like the 1990 QBASIC original, but optimized for mobile play with modern controls. My only complaint is that the new taunts are kind of annoying, wish there was a way to disable them on the Options screen.

Love everything about this, not the least of which are the memories this brings back! Gorillas and Nibbles were the only games I played back in the DOS days. Would love to see an online gameplay option added so I can show my little brother far away how it's done. How about it, developers?

A lot of people saying you can't play if gorilla is too close to edge of the screen. You can "drag" from any part of the screen.

It's far too insulting. I stopped playing it cause of the constant put downs and rudeness. Why can't it say encouraging things. Also the classic game was played using degrees and speed rather than an inaccurate arrow. Meh.

The controls are weird. Backwards, actually. Frustrating. Good job otherwise.

I loved playing this game on qbasic. But by pulling arrows and throwing bananas m not able to make accurate shots like i would be able to do on computer with keyboard. It would be a nice idea if it would display the angle and the velocity value (below the player name) when making the arrows for throwing so we can have a better judgement. Hope i see an update to this great game.

Amazing that this game is still around. Used to play this on my grandpa's computer as a kid. Wish the wind factor was still a thing.

This is a pretty good homage to the original. IMPORTANT- If you want more classic input style, you can select it at the name creation screen, it is easy to overlook so don't miss it.

Always starts me in the corner so I can never direct the shot where I need it to go. Not recommended.

please add ability to play online with someone on a different phone. Currently game is set up to where you have to pass the phone to the other player

Downloaded this because gorilla was one of my favorite games growing up. Unfortunately, this version of it does not live up to the original. The actual game play is more like angry birds, I would much prefer to enter an angle and velocity like the original. Also, even if you prefer the more modern gameplay, it is often impossible to get the shot you want if your gorilla gets placed too close to the edge of the screen.

The wind direction is at times difficult to see with the ads. Could you move it to the top by the sun if possible

You should make it a replica of Gorrilas 2 The Return (as that was the brtter one imho) including your mordern controls and allow pay to remove adds then 5 star

Fantastic game but the old school controls need work. The highest velocity you can enter is 99 and it's not powerful enough

Doesn't translate well to a touch screen when your gorilla is next to the edge of the screen. Can't put anything on my banana

Thank you for the nostalgia. For everyone chiming in with aiming issues you can change the aiming options to manual input before the match. Also you don't have to start your touchscreen aim-swipe on your character. Start it further to the center of the screen silly :p

It was my favorite game in ms dos, the first time I saw it here in play store, I just cried because I remembered my childhood and my super VGA computer, thanks a million for reminding those lovely days

Love the fact the game has an upgrade to the arrows. This game really takes me back to a more carefree time in life. Thank you for making it available on Google play.
