Chess - play, train & watch

The app is good. In my brief usage so far only two issues cropped up. Firstly I seem to bump in to cheaters more on chess 24 than on lichess (I'm only a ~1700 player so machines stand out very easily). Secondly I wish this app was movable to the SD card since my devices are perpetually low on internal space.

the android application has an issue in that it disconnects randomly so basically it is just not chess if you are playing faster time controls like bullet or 3 minute games. And i have verified this is not an issue with the wifi connection since it happens no matter where i am connected, while on the other hand i don' have this issues with Lichess for example. It would be great if the dev team would fix this disconnect issue. Best Regards, Claudio

Good server, some good instruction. Anna Rudolf is like a living slice of heaven. But man, there are a HUGE number of cheaters. They mostly seem clustered in the 1600-1800 range, as players above that seem almost easier and their play more human-like.

Can't watch live broadcast and not logging me in via facebook and can't play because of unexpected error, the app is not working as a day earlier. Showing unexpected error dialogue box every time

Chess 24 was very nice to watch online games.. but it needs to improve alot of graphics and many other things.. need more and more updates .. please work out on this . This will be number 1 position in future..

There is something wrong with the app. I have deleted it and reinstalled it. It opens up fine but when i select play now it shows loading icon and then blank with just the word play at the top. Same if i go to tactics trainer

Am addicted to this app, spending at least 2hrs everyday. Would like to challenge friends or rivals so would make it a 5star for me with that feature.

I can't watch competition anymore. Can anyone please advise how to go around it? Now I've to watch Tata Steel from work PC, which is counter productive.

I have a very good internet connection and it always prompt me I have disconnected from the game. No good app. Same as their online site, very heavy requirement on net connection. Not recommended.

The best app by far to follow chess tournaments. I would have given it a five, but lack of a chat feature when games are being played is a drawback.

It's been saying "unexpected error" for two days now, right during the final two rounds of the Tata Steel Championship. The desktop site doesn't work either. Needs fixing asap.

Blitz Mode is Very Buggy Even after you make your move (and the move list shows you've made your move) your clock keeps running down and you lose on time. Please fix this.

I can't see tournaments, it gets blocked! It's requests very strong network for fast games like bullet!

Help. I cant opened the app today, either play, tactic, anything. It said "unexpected error" im a mobile premium user..im using android Oreo

The whole site is full of cheaters. I played over a 100 games and ever user of the 100 used a computer program to cheat with. Stay far away from this app!!

A bunch of cheaters like most chess websites, other nationalities with nothing better to do....the developers even match you up against known cheaters...and the tactics are unrealistic..

Good app but do you really offer live streaming? Then why I can't see it. I can watch livestream on other app but not here pls fix this

hi...from yesterday the app doesn't work. No tactics, no profile ecc...the app don't show me nothing. I have Android version 4.4.4

This app sux. My opponent has 30 seconds advantage over me on EVERY GAME. Whoever developed this app needs to be slapped in the corksucker

Whenever I want to watch the tournament match and click on Broadcast option, It's always showing error. I have re-downloaded the app, but the problem still exist. Can you please solve it.

Only major game play drawback: there is no way to report a player or claim a win if they intentionally stall and let the clock run out in a losing position!!

The game always disconnected without any reason during game play.. waste of time.. uninstalling..

Nice app with good functionalities. My only quirk is even when the board is fullscreen, the edges contain the rank numbers outside the board. So it appears smaller than it would without the rank number. For me, personally, getting a board as big as possible is the most important thing in a chess app. So either move the rank numbers inside the board or give me an option to remove them. I also love the feature to follow live tournaments such as the olympiad. If only you could incorporate some other features from LiChess, then it would be the only chessapp in my device.

Last update was a year ago! The online "play now" is too often down. Please add a time stamp to the moves and I might add a star. When analyzing a game I want to see the time spent/remaining. Also, many players abort the game before first move. That should be punished with loss of rating points. And sometimes the service is designed is down and does not find any other players.

Just became member, logged in with facebook on my computer. Installed app, tried to log in with facebook but it failed. Thought "OK, maybe it needs a premium account to work", payed for premium. Still cant log in using facebook. Cleared all the data, reinstalled the app. No joy. App tells me that it cant register using facebook when I just want it to login .. EDIT: Login with facebook suddenly works now

I really love your app and your website in general. I spent lots of time daily eighter on your app or your website. But I ve got a issue with the app. It just crashes regulary. For Example, while watching a video series or analysing. Sometimes it even crashes while running in the background. Besides that, it comes close to perfection in my opinion and plan to stay a premium member to support your services! One suggestion to end my review, I'd love to have some kind of coaching feature.

I am unable to login since yesterday. I am able to login using Vodafone on my smart phone but unable to login or watch any broadcast via WiFi. I am not sure what is exactly wrong..... Thanks my problem has been resolved now.

Best chess app out there. I love playing online games with random people but we should be able to play with our friends as well. I know it is possible on the website but app doesnt give such possibility

For online play, In the starting of game initial move of piece and clock timing are not matching. Opponents pieces are moving in same time, which effects planning and cause difficulty to understand the current game situation. Also some new colors for chess board to be added.. In simple words, this app needs to be update.

It's a very good app! But it needs lots of improvements... There should be something like a notification button, and a button to access my messages, and a "set reminder" section as well! Where you can put in your favorite tournaments and be notified right when they start! And maybe an option to be paired with an opponent with a specified country. And we should be able to challenge other players from the app! That's all I can think of now, Thanks!

There is bug in app.. While playing tactic trainer.. I solved problem correctly but still it deducted my points. I can give you screenshot of the same.

1) It would be nice if one could challenge an opponent. 2) Chatting with an opponent would be great too and lastly ... 3) It would be awesome if there can be a search button to search for a tournament unlike scrolling hundreds of them to get to one. Overall, it's a good app, I like it!

For tactics reward is too low and penalty is too high. Also time for reward is too low just 30 secs else no reward at all

Sharing games on social media's......chatting with players who play with us...........multilayer facility through wlan or bluetooth.........I am not sure any chess app with all these facilities..... It would be great if u consider these facilities in your future updates........though I like this app very much,I gave only one star because I think only by doing that this suggestion would reach your eyes soon. Of course, I am a premium member, so I get all the gadgets with out, but still - awesome mobile version of the original website.

Actually i have played on many chess apps but chess24 is best among them i feel it.chess olympiad and so many things that are absent from other chess apps but i found them on it.it could be better by improving more features and best of luck for the team.

The best feature of the app is one can download the videos for offline viewing. Tactics training and videos are my companion while commuting to office
