Words With Friends – Play Free

Great game but recently it started playing up. Messages aren't coming through so had to delete and reinstall the app few times but the problem still exists!!

Constant problems on a daily basis.Going to play store,stats,badges coins,adverts and different versions/options after logging in.Dont know how much longer i will be playing.

Why oh why did Zynga ever think that the "New" WWF was fit for release? Years later it is still terrible compared to the old WWF? Why is the home screen layout for an 8 in tablet so screwed up? Now, despite turning off all profile "opt-ins", the latest version spams me with games from people I don't know and I don't want to play. I could go on and on...New WWF is still rubbish and Zynga knows it!!!

I enjoy playing Word, but the adverts that now come up between games are too long and sometimes freeze the game. Really annoying! !

Too many ads like seriously why does there need to be an ad after every single game, its stupid and annoying

I have been a long time user of this game, even purchasing the ad-free edition years ago because I thoroughly enjoyed it. Now, I am instead thoroughly disappointed in the direction the game has gone. Instead of having an easy way to see the definition of the last word played, you've hidden that option in the menu. The game is less about individual mental acuity and more about "power ups" to help one opponent cheat the other. If there is a way to change the settings and play "classic" games only, I'll revise my rating and review. But as it stands now I think I would like my money returned as this is not the product that I once purchased.

So now the lowlife scumbags added musical ads, and even more of them. This company is pathetic

No where near as good as the phone app. Ads are intrusive. And it doesn't automatically tell you if your word is valid.

Why does the iPhone app have features the Android app doesn't??? They can purchase free swaps yet we can't. Not right that they have an unfair advantage!!!

Keeps crashing not getting my notifications again . Old games keep showing up

I hate the update with special items...the fact that you can now pay money to swap tiles and not lose a turn is stupid...I wish they would change it back to the old way where there were no special items...

I love this game. Been playing it for 5.5 years now, it helps to keep my mind focused on learning new words and improving my score.

Constant ads are a pain and the cheats are miserable! The badges are stipid. To remove the ads, way too expensive!!!

They've added too many distracting trinkets to the original game.

The free version of the game is almost unplayable now. The annoying video adverts between each go eat up your mobile data and the game opens up random apps in the Google play store when you're trying to place your tiles. It's all so intrusive and almost like a virus.

Newest update has the app store popping up and it won't STOP! I have to close out WWF and reopen. Then it happens again. Hard to actually play a game that way.

Good game, but forces you to watch loud video ads, even on data instead of wifi.

Love this game. Much better than Scrabble!! But Google Play keeps popping up a LOT!

Cannot believe it is $29.95 to eliminate ads. What happened to the $9.99? This is a disgrace. The ads are too and you can't get out of them.

Adds are a pain, but it's fun to play

For the most part this is a fun game to play with friends. However I have a real issue with the so called dictionary that has words that are allowed but no definition. A word with no definition is simply a group of letters. Not good Also in solo play the opponent is using nonsense to fill spaces. HM is not a word at least in english. Maybe a text but those are not words either.

Way too long for inactive games to clear out/forfeit. 2 weeks? That's why some have ridiculous amounts of wins, they just start a bunch of games, and anytime who tries to play just forfeits since the person is taking up a spot on their list buy not playing. 5 days MAX. 2 weeks is stupid.

Somehow after several years the developers have still not fixed the"Edit your profile" screen. You simply have no option to save when you make a change to your profile. A change like this would take less than a day to complete in development, full regression testing, QA, UAT and deployment. Disappointed.

Love the game. Need new challengers "sergio7501". There only one problem. There's this player on fast play who's been on my game for over a month without making a move. Does anyone know how to remove him? I don't want to resign cause I'll get a lose.

I have one fast play game that keeps coming up but I can't do anything with it. It says an error has occurred. I can't resign. I can't do anything. It's been a week and it won't go away. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and no difference. The person I was playing I'm that game said the same thing is happening to her too. Neither of us can resign.

Worked great prior to the last update. Even though I have opted out of the random matches / Community play, every time I open the game I have a new match from a stranger that I cannot ignore or remove.... Not exactly 'words with friends'....

Recently it's been opening up a chrome window advertisement even though I didn't play yet or click anything. I don't like the malware feel. I would go back to 5stars if they removed these random pop up ads.

I have entered a word on the board. It gave me my score but my friend partner can see what I entered but the game is not allowing her to play. She suggested I reenter the word but again impossible.

A must for wordsmiths... game play works but habitual buggy, the current bug: so they introduced coins to buy cool perks like Hindsight and Word Radar but now the store is missing?! Coins still there racking 'em up but nothing to do with them... same as before with achievements, they were cool but stopped working altogether :/

Hate this app. All it's given me is a sore jaw and cold Chinese. I wouldn't recommend playing this against your boy friend. P.s I'm not that much of a sore loser.

Went away for a while, and since I've been back I've been pleased to see the improvements. However, there are spam ads that come up as I'm trying to play, and my unique words played has not updated in months, but otherwise it's a great app and a fun game. In the last update, the store vanished! Still getting coins, but can't use them!

Now includes "paid cheats". I won't play anyone that uses them. We should get a notification whenever someone uses one. I like the game a lot but even with the paid version, the constant nags to start new games and other forced demands to "like this" and "invite that" are intrusive. The game no longer respects the mute settings on my Galaxy 8 and makes noise with the system sounds turned off. It's a good game but disrespects its users and reported bugs have remained unfixed. Used to work much better! C'mon, can't you fix some of this stuff?? Even worse, there is no way to contact support to get any response. They only want money and no longer get enough from ads. There's an opening for a new version of the game from competition.

Idk what they've done with the badges (who really cares) but, EVERY time I open my phone there are 9+ notifications for NOTHING to do with the game. I went to uninstall it, and a menu popped up that said 'clear badges' but then it only disappeats for a few minutes. It's SO annoying! Make it stop, PLEASE! I'm being annoyed to the point that I will stop playing and uninstall! Life had enough stress without a game adding to it!

I find it very irritating that the game suckers players into creating two games for each one played. Pretty good game, otherwise. Seems far less buggy lately.

Used to be okay but now it keeps playing adverts with audio in the background with no way to get rid of them without killing the app off. Exceptionally annoying!

The advertisements make the game nigh unplayable, as they force the game to freeze. $10 for an ad free version is ridiculous. Google Play force opens like the game is a virus. Great game, horrible app.

$39.99 for the ad free version is ridiculous! All my friends got it for $2.99 but now its suddenly $39.99. Thats an absolutely disgusting jump.

I used to love this game but you guys added things that changed the play. Now you can swap tiles without losing a turn? That's not how you play. There's an option to see where you can play the tiles you have? That's not how you play.
