The in your face stuff to try to get you to start more games with other people is worse than advertising

I love it. Only thing I don't like is that on an older version of this app you could see your lifetime total points (and your friends and global) and now you can't anymore. Not that big of a deal but it was kinda cool to see and I wish they would bring it back. Otherwise this game is fun and addicting!

Cannot get games back since last update, i have to uninstall then reinstall every time I want to play, wish you could get this right, I now can't get it on my phone at all soon as I try screen just disappears. Have now given up playing. Surely you must have ensured last update was good to send.

I will change my ratings when you actually fix the glitches. I have downloaded 2 different versions of this game and neither one will load my games correctly. Edit: I was just reading through some of the other reviews and I'm not the only one getting the white screen when pulling up my individual games. GET IT FIXED!!

When I couldn't get into my games for a couple of days, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. My personal stats are back, everything seems to be about the same, and I am now able to play again. The app again tells me when words are not acceptable. I lost that function for a while. Yay me! If you are having the same problem I had, you might try reinstalling as I did.

Love playing this game except that there are some words that we do use in the English vocabulary that it doesn't allow, and yet 2 or 3 letter words from foreign languages that work. Doesn't makes sense, but I still enjoy playing. Why did you change? Now with the new changes, I don't like Words anymore. Please go back to the previous style. I don't need to see flashy images, faces/mugshots, extra pop ups, etc....the screen is now toooo busy!! Sorry folks but the previous Words was better, go back!

Why does it cheat in Solo mode? I have screenshots showing my last move and in the lead, then it says I lost and my score is now lower that it was. This has happened 3 x :-(. I have screenshots should Zynga want them. Makes me wonder about any games I have played and the accuracy.

Since the last update as several others have said it no longer works correctly on some android phones. Keeps hanging on game screen - just white screen then need to clear data in app settings or as others seem to be doing reinstall. Surely you should test these things before release! Also graphics on a 5inch phone are now awful. Need a magnifying glass to see the bits at the top and bottom and can no longer zoom in!

Ruined by the last update. Messy screen with too many gimmicks so that it's near impossible to see the games your playing. No I don't want to play people I did before No I don't want a badge or challenge. Yes I did want a simple game on a simple screen but you took all that away! Time to find another game I think.

I was addicted like crack cocaine. And then it started glitching. Wouldn't show me games in progress. I'd go a week not knowing it was my turn until I'd get a warning that I was forfeiting the game when really it wasn't showing up, not as my turn or theirs. I was told by zynga to Uninstaller and reinstall. I did and it worked for maybe 3 days before it started doing it again. I give up.

Must uninstall and then reinstall each time I use this app. The game will load but not the game board unless I do this after each time I play. Surely you can fix this glitch. I love to play but must give it up soon. It's to annoying to keep doing this. Will miss my friends....... why can't you just fix this issue?

Installed a few hours ago and will now uninstall. Great game. Disrespectful developers. Ads. Every. Move —unacceptable. No one to contact when instructions for Settings don't work (I couldn't choose nor change my user name). Farewell (16 points)

Way too many ads. There's at least 1-3ads that pop up after every single turn I take, and the game randomly opens my Google play store with the attempt to get me to install another app or game. It use to be way more fun when there were less and no ads. Fix it!

Needs an actual dictionary. There are MANY words that should be in this dictionary that are not able to be used but, there are many words that are NOT Acknowledged words.. yet they work. Which makes for a headache in game play. The next update should be a revised list of REAL WORDS otherwise i will be deleting this app personally

Absolutely terrible with ads every turn, and what's worse, it'll open the play store on a loop so you can't back out of it and have to force close it. Just shamefull amounts of ads. Do you really think after seeing this I'd want to pay you for a different version? Disgusting.

Absolute garbage. How do I get all vowels except for a z or a q every time. Then I'm expected to swap out my letters and skip my turn just do it can give me a bunch or z and q and no vowel. Waste of phone space.

Last update is horrendous. App keeps opening on the wrong game, added a bunch of stuff I don't care about that I can't turn off & have to scroll past to find my games. This is supposed to be the classic version, so why is it nothing like the classic yet nearly the same as the new version. Also find it incredibly annoying that anybody playing in English is stuck with an American flag by their names. I am Canadian and so are most of the people I play. We REALLY don't want to be associated with the US these days! Way to kill what used to be a fun app.

Every time I am finished playing and I put my Android down, this app. goes to hell. I am left with a white screen and have to uninstall and reinstall. Sometimes I have to do this between players. I thought it was my phone and got rid of stuff on my phone. Now I know​ it is this game. I hate to leave this community of friends but all of this can't be good for my phone.

So now it locks me out every time I log out. I'm not going to play a game that I have to uninstall every day, multiple times a day, just to reset it. It's too bad, this was one of my favorite games. Zynga staff too lazy or stupid to fix this issue?

This version is utter crap. The developers fail to even read these reviews, 90% of which tell them it is crap. It fails to display my current games so i have to uninstall and reinstall, then the games are there for about a day, then they dissapear again. Also cannot reply to chat mesages. Give us back the old version that works. This is a brand new Samsung.

Newest update sux bad! Why is all this other crap on my screen now? I don't wanna see other players and scores. Some ads always make it freeze too. Game was fine a month ago. Now it sux

Oh the never ending freaking ads EVERY TIME you make a bloody move!! Drive me crazy! For the love of all that is good REDUCE THE AMOUNT IF ADS! Also stop said ads navigating me OFF the game and onto here to install games that I DO NOT WANT!!

what is going on??!! I've been playing since 2012 and love the game. but after the last few updates its turned to junk. after every play it used to be a single add which I was fine with, but now after every move the game directs me back to the googleplay store, trying to get me to download some other game!! it's a friggen mess. please fix it zynga.

I love playing but the last week or so a blank screen appears instead of the playing board. If I uninstall and install it comes up ok but the next time I paly it goes back to the same blank screen. I can't see doing that everytime I want to play. 1 month later and I still have to uninstall and reinstall evey time I want to play. Please fix it.

For some reason I still play, but not sure who has gotten dumber the ad's, the game, or the developers ! I say by far the latter. How do you spell a word with all vowels, or three e's two i's two o's. STUPID!

Very good game, very addictive. The only thing I did not like is the highly annoying ads after every single turn. Make a paid version. I would pay to play ad-free. the ads really really kill the game. Otherwise it's a great game.

I liked the classic version because it didn't have all the garbage it has now. The features are unwanted. And the stats aren't even correct. They don't go back to the beginning of my game play. And now all of my games have vanished. Gone. Not accessible. I think I might be done with this horrible update.

I have loved and enjoyed playing this game for ages but after recent updates, games continue to disappear as though never started. I reached out to Support and days later still no response, real nice. Fix your problem Zynga and I'll decide whether to improve my rating.

Great app. Love the game. Love the fact i can chat and view opponents overall ratings etc. However on negative side. The game / app on my samsung 7 edge regularly freezes and i have to reinstall each time ! Please fix this issue

Recent problem is irritating. Game goes to gray screen on my Sam tablet. Tried uninstall/reinstall. But problem repeated. Works fine on my Sam S7 phone. Please provide a fix and a way to contact for app help within the app.

I've played this game for years! Wish the dictionary were a bit more conventional. Many extremely rare, unheard of words, while common vernacular is absent. Also don't appreciate the ads to invite friends since ive purchased ad - free. Finally, had to delete and download again because game would not show true game count notification.

Good game, but since my phone updated, there is always a notification badge there, even when there isn't actually any moves or chat. (I only have notifications turned on for those 2). It's annoying. Make it go away.

I really like playing this game, but to many ads are aggravating and the game will not open to play all time. Have to uninstall and reinstall if I want to continue playing on my Samsung tablet. Whats up with this?

I have a blank screen where I am supposed to play on my Samsung tablet. To play I reinstall the app, play the game once, then it goes back to a blank screen again. I prefer the old version. At least it worked !

Playing my first game, I quickly realised you can play non-english words in the English version of the game. I had 2 Chinese words, a Dutch word, the unintelligible sound "hm", the name "Jo" and the abbreviation for the word abdominal, "ab", all played against me in the same game Pretty pathetic really

Played for years. Always enjoyed the game. Dislike the recent update. One of the ads just downloaded a text file to my phone. Which is unacceptable. Not willing to have unknown random garbage downloaded to my to my phone. Guess its time to uninstall it.

I like the game but Please STOP the POP UPS after every move the same adds over and over every move a pop up. I will pay to not have pop ups that's how much I like the game. Give the players this option.

Will not connect to game board after last update. Stays stuck on blue screen and I must clear the data, reinstall, or log out in order to reset. Please give us an update that actually works!

So the two words that I just tried in the game are not valid words, huh? Well let's see the word "lyre" is a musical instrument and the word "Lyme" is a disease that some mosquitoes bring on. I would like to challenge those two words.

Way too many adds. They even pop up in my message system when I close this app, and continue to play when I turn my phone screen off. No one should have to pay to get the adds removed either. Remove the adds free of charge or the app gets uninstalled for good.
