Story Dice - Story telling for Android
Great stuff and with the Star Wars dice cool for this Auld Geek. The dice can be repositioned, but not rotated to show them "rightsideup", which made it tricky with my 3 year old nephew. . . at least without knocking them.
I like how you can shuffle them around, and the fact that they can appear at different angles. The graphics aren't my style as I prefer minimalism, but I recognize the effort and it turns out to be more useful than just flat images on a screen.
Has a few different themes and the ads aren't overly obtrusive.
Simple, free, ads don't get in way. Max dice leads to lots of ones displaying multiple sides, but that just makes it more interesting.
Good fun! Easy pictures make it fun for my kids.
Inspiration for story writing, fuel for drunken improv storytelling competition.
would like the ability to have them roll into a virtual grid allowing rows and columns.
Many of the images, I don't know what they are, photos would be better
User friendly, good ability to control topics. Wish there were more genres.
Its actually alot of fun! Pretty cool....
Interesting game for creating story.
Great for school and also extra time
Excellent for writing and/or speaking activities
Very good and totaly free.
Absolutely brilliant teaching resource
Great tool for the classroom!
BOOm :)
Kids love it
Absolutely wonderful
I'm giving four stars because the aforementioned option to add your own pics would be super useful and adding a few more genre's to the categories, such as fantasy, romance, sci-fi, horror, etc... would make this app awesome and stand above the rest. That's just a couple ideas. Great app though, and fun.
Needs more pics like zombie alien guns more cars gangsters soda machines just more everthing
Nice videos, simple interface. Does a great job!
This game is really good, creative and a lot of fun!! Try Rory's story cubes as well, you can get them from a book store
Functional and cool graphics
When I download this app, I thought it would let me choose dice, which it does, and then give me the story. Currently , it doesn't. Until this app gets a huge update, u won't like it.
Would like to see more categories and the ability to make custom dice by drawing on screen. The way I see it my options are limited to someone else's ideas. But I really like it so far. 5 stars when either there are more categories or custom dice
The best story-telling cube out there. Love it. Getting it for only .99 is a steal!
I use this for esl students. We make stories from the lineups. We laugh when the dice roll by accident. I brought real ones with me and these give us many options. More free would help people like me in countries where i cant make online purchases. Thanks for great game.

Good game to keep the kids entertained. Maybe I'm being picky but I'd really like the option to somehow rotate the cubes. I'm going to be harsh and give 4 stars in the hope that the option to rotate becomes available, after which I'd not hesitate to award 5 stars. Brilliant effort though.
A nicely made app with promise. Certainly useful as it is! For category suggestions, start with the usual fiction writing topics: mystery, western, romance, etc, etc. Then go crazy! A feature suggestion: allow the user to set the number of dice to roll, *by category*. This would allow the easy mixing of categories for more "challenging" rolls, as well as allowing for fewer dice per roll. Thanks dev!
Good start. Category suggestions: all the basic genres, but I'd love to see more. Maybe something to deal with tone. Or a dice with sadness, dark, happiness, etc. Also agree there should be more pictures in general.
Yay! Love it. Great simple application. I'd love something crazy like being able to choose our own pictures/symbols.

It's genius actually. I would like to see options for genre specific icons that you can peronalize, but very good regardless.
A directory of what each item is? Gender? Colors? Actions? Maybe different sets of dice for different writing genres, and mixing genres? Maybe a starter die or genre die?
Nice videos, simple interface. Does a great job!
Mystery, adventure, warrior cats, future, drama...

Have used story dice before but not on an app. This is a great idea. Some more categories would be nice. Pics for fairy stories, science fiction and seasonal stuff like Christmas, Easter etc
