It'd be nice if all non English words were removed but they don't crop up often. In terms of the new interface, it's much cleaner than before. A lot of people seem to be complaining about it, but I like it better than the old one...

I like the game well enough.. and most of the ads are fine.. but these flashing ones can be murder on the eyes, it's ridiculous. I don't normally rate apps- good or bad- but these ads have made this bad enough that I feel strongly enough to review it.

Hands down my favorite app. Then, you go and change it. The orange baubles are harsh, the font is not desirable or easy to read. Thankfully I didn't experience the performance issue, but was the appearance update necessary? I don't want to get rid of this app. Can you please go back to the most recent format? 5 stars for the game, -2 for the new look. Awful.

There are too many times when I input the right word but it doesn't show up as a word until I check out of the round. I play the game to challenge myself. I wouldn't play it if I could find a better choice. The use of middle eastern culture is very obvious... What happened to the great font from before the latest update?? Not user friendly at all!

The update was unexpected and horrible, but it has been fixed. I can think of many improvements. Why not make it even better than before¿

This was my favorite word game. The new format makes playing difficult and unpleasant. Wish you'd go back to the old format. Newer is not always better.

Hate the update. Don't care for the new layout, tapping letters not as quick and responsive like the old version. Nothing wrong with previous version. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. . Revised: the new update has fixed the performance issues. Back to playing and enjoying the game again.

Older version worked fine and I was addicted. V2.0 is so slow in responding to input as to be maddeningly unplayable. Uninstalled it and sad to say goodbye. Update: Reinstalled to try 1 more time and worked fine. I'm back to being addicted to words! Thanks for a fun app!

Love this game. Play it all the time. The new colors are a little annoying but they fixed the slowness problem so we are all good.

I play this game a lot and enjoy it but I have one really big complaint. Since when is Amtrak not a proper noun? I see a lot of cases where names of things end up in the list and I don't use them because they aren't supposed to be there and I end up quitting because I can't figure out the last word only to find it's a supposedly illegal one. Grrr.... Another example that is very frustrating: ire is a word I can select but ired and ires are not yet i can use pick, picked and picks, or lie, lied and lies. What's up with that. There are a lot more of these. I use this game to keep my mind fresh but half the time I'm just frustrated and annoyed that i can't use a word or a word i thought i couldn't use was the answer. I'm close to dumping this game after overt 600 rounds.

The 2 minute time is more like 30 seconds, what happened? I wished you didn't update this game at all it used to be my favorite :(

But what were you thinking with the colours hard on the eyes not able to play for long periods could we at least have a selection

Button delay now fixed (thank you) but still don't like font or colour scheme, was better before updating.

If the game before but when the look was updated it would not open on my Nexus 6p. Work this update everything works fine. I like the new look, bigger letters, clean layout.

Occasionally the odd solved word is only partially on the screen of my S5. Other than that, this game is great. The new tiles make it easier to see the letters.

Very quick and fun. 4/5 stars, fun as a casual game. Orange circles can be difficult to read

Since they fixed the issues with the update, I'm enjoying my favorite game again!

Over half the words I tries were not right. But when game was over the words I had tried ended up in the blanks. Now that's just messed up.

Do not like the new look, too hard to see, doesn't work well. Off to find a new word app

What the heck did you do to this game???? I've been playing it a very long time, nightly. A few days ago it looked different, I thought, ok, it's been up dated...but it's sooooo pathetically SLOW I am dumping the game. Was a 5 star..now a 1 star. I'm outta here.

This is a game I played for a long time regularly, but the new update slowed it down so badly that I can hear the data crunching in slow motion and being sucked by the NSA or any advertiser. Too bad. It is now unplayable.

It was working fine. Played it every chance I get. Favourite word game BUT now it does not work fine. The new updated version, takes forever to load n when it finally does, it takes forever to type the words n for it to show up. Like the new layout but it does not work properly. Upgrading it is fine but please make sure that it works. Please fix it

Prior to the last update, this was easily the best word game available. I was working towards a million points. Since the update, game play is too sluggish to be playable. There is a 3 second gap between engaging the screen and the screen reacting, such as selection of a letter or submitting a word. There is no excuse for releasing an unplayable game such as you have. Deleting.

The "update" is atrocious. The tiles are terrible to read, it takes forever for them to show up and that means time just ticks off with no progress. Not everything in life needs to be updated. The "old" version worked just fine.

I have been playing for YEARS and I have loved this game. No longer. The update sucks, big time! It takes forever see what word you typed in and if you typed it wrong you lose valuable time in correcting it. It is just a big mess! Fix it or it will be gone from my phone.....

This has always been my go to word game, but I truly hate the new update. If it isn't changed back I'll most likely delete it and find something else.

I loved this game, but the new graphics are awful - make it look like it's for little kids. The old design was fine; I can understand wanting to update it, but it would have been better to stay in keeping!

I am hoping that you review your update. The game is now painfully slow. The graphics also makes it hard to read. It reminds me of the old adage, "if it isn't broken why fix it". However, hopefully, you will fix the update.

The update is terrible. I can't see the letters and the game runs very slow now. It's too bad because I like this game, and I play it a couples times a day to pass the time. I'm gonna need to find an alternative I guess.

Previously would have rated 4-5 stars, now, this app is literally unusable on a Nexus 6P w/ Android 7.1.1. Looking at the other recent reviews, it looks like I'm not alone in wishing for a rollback.

PLEASE READ YOUR REVIEWS ...When you put in a correct word it will not take it ...when you ck correct words at the end ,of course it's too late! Love game... PLEASE FIX IT ...drives me crazy :( Will rate higher if fixed.

The update makes the screen hard to see or focus. The game itself rocks out but there's no options to change the look. It's giving me a headache and at 700 games logged, this sucks bc I'll probably have to delete it.

Hard to see. Orange of the letter background is too bright and letters are too faint. Had this app for years but I will have to delete because it's now a chore to play.
