Slinger uses a facsimile (sound and image) of a Western style six-shooter with sound effects (bang!) whenever the accelerometer is triggered. If you just snap the handset or tablet in a firing motion, you should achieve the desired effect of a bang and a flash. Use responsibly.

I installed this because Dave asked me to. But I gave it 4 stars because it's hilarious and awesome. Ha on the Morricone whistle. More impressive: this app had me slinging my phone like a first grader playing Wild West. For five stars: making a trigger cocking sound when I whip the gun back toward me. Otherwise, it seems like maybe I'm shooting myself. For five stars and I'll pay money: add random sound effects of bullets ricocheting off of rocks, and dudes getting hit. Ooh, and maybe an option to hear horse hoofs, wagon wheels and a wagon driver yelling "hyah! hyah!"
