Did you grow up playing Panzer General, Fantasy General and History Line / Battle Isle series during the 90s? Or perhaps you liked the Avalon Hill board wargames? We did. This game is a retro style modern tribute to the spirit of those wonderful hex & dice unit shufflers. If you like turn based military strategy, this game is for you!
The game features initially 7 scenarios, set in the early days of the second world war, when the Nazi Germany launched a full-scale attack against Poland. The Polish army, fighting without allies upheld against the invasion for 2 months but was eventually defeated by the third reich. In this game, the scenarios depict various key battles of the war, ranging from the initial border warfare to the siege of Warsaw.
Fans of hardcore hex strategy games might enjoy the fact that the game has actual World War II era German and Polish combat vehicles and armament, supply line mechanics, artillery counter attacks, maps based on the actual historical battles, and so forth. (Some liberties have been taken in interpreting few of the details, to make the game more entertaining. But we've tried to be as close to the course of events as possible.)
You can play either solo against the AI, or play multiplayer by passing the device between players after each turn. Network multiplayer is not currently supported. The single player game is played from the axis perspective; multiplayer has one player playing the German side and the other Polish side.
In case you'd like to play a quite similar type of a game set in ancient times, you might want to try out our Populus Romanus series also. It has a somewhat similar kind of tactics but in a Roman setting instead of modern times.

Looks like cheap clone of Populus Romanus. Multiple issues: 1. Many lost saves - have to restart scenario 2. Infantry as slow in forest as tanks 3. stupid AI always attacking, even across rivers, Poland should be defending in trenches 4. AI can resupply and attack the same turn 5. resupply cost is the same for all units, tanks should be expensive 6. arty defense support is OP - effectively arty attacks twice taking no damage, spam arty and you always win. 7. Please put Żyrardów near Skierniewice - it is my home town :^)

So happy to find a game for mobiles that's like panzer corps/panzer general..this games no where as good as those computer versions but for the mobile phone its mighty fine..

A/I will reinforce a unit then later in same turn will attack with same! But A/I assault comes so quickly at times it is easily unnoticed! Then there's the"Magic Artillery" that fires from beyond its range! Other than that it is a very enjoyable game!

I love boardgames but never really got into hex wargames - until now. As a newbie, playing on Normal is a challenge and I love the different tactics and strategies that need to come into play - my favourite scenario so far is Lodz. Took me ages to do but was well worth the hard work! Simple UI & graphics with straight-forward rule-set. 5 stars well earned.

Bought this game after playing the free demo version. It's worth buying. Single player version is very tactical and chalenging. Multiplayer version is pass and play only. My wish is for an online, Bluetooth or Lan multiplayer version. I would give it 5 stars then. It should be advertised as pass and play, not multiplayer.

Please make an impossible mode the missions are too easy. Reinforcing seems to powerful. 11 pts to reinforce an elite tank or 60 pts to buy a new one. AI doesn't reinforce as much as it should.

Needs an undo button, though it is hard to implement when simulating fow. Polish units probably a little OP. Also, captured hexes revert to native Polish control behind you making supply lines difficult.

The best strategy games I have played on android. I am a big fan of games like total war, rise of nations and AoE, as well as hex games like people's general. Top class! Please keep making them! Polish campaign is great for variety, if a little easy. Would love to try a British campaign for populus romanus 2.

Its got a nice ad free turn by turn battle scenario system with a couple campaigns. Wish the developer would make more or let you create your own maps and share them or something.

This is a change of rating. Well balanced and challenging play. However it is not historical. Polish artillery are uber fast moving long range and the primary winning troop. If this were a fictitious red vs blue, I'd rate it 5 *. Poles vs German gets 3*

I bought this and both the Roman games. The reinforcement/attack bug needs fixed in the Polish beta version. I also think the offensive AI could use some work in all of them. Playing a defensive strategy always works as the AI attacks in a piecemeal fashion. Overall though a very enjoyable game. I would buy more.

After the Romanus double comes 1939. Really nice job. Airborne attacks should be viable and would help realism. Also some time pressure to force player to be more offensive would be good. As others have noted a defensive strategy wins. The play as Poles BETA is very very easy, but is a free bonus. Buy this game
