Unhappy Ever After is a mobile, roleplay game with beautiful desktop comparable graphics, hunting music, and a wonderfully disturbing story . It offers a free-roam, partly open world, with over twenty four hours’ worth of quests, and continued simulation style play after the story ends.
Any great RPG needs a great protagonist: in Unhappy Ever After that protagonist is Sophia an eighteenth-century librarian's apprentice to Queen Anne of England who gets pulled into a dark-fantasy world.
Join this plucky, female protagonist in her quest to find a way home and help her take revenge on the evil witch that brought her to these terrible lands.

Discover a world filled with political intrigue as a power-hungry Emperor seeks to wrestle control of the Twelve Duchies by use of his magical Affinity Guards, and get caught up in a rebellion where Sophia's abilities will help decide the fate of the strange, monster-filled world into which she's been swept.
Aid her in her discovery of an ancient, magical curse that lies over the world, denying all it's inhabitants the ability to read. Take control of ancient magical texts that, as she discovers them, will allow her to develop abilities strong enough to challenge the Emperor's most powerful Affinity Guards, and perhaps even the terrible witch who is responsible for tearing her away from her home.

Just started this game and I love it. Accessing the menu by "double tap" is annoying, however as it doesn't seem to work right (I end up having to tap with two fingers very fast and success varies). A better solution would be a small, translucent icon in one corner or another one could open easily with a single tap. Would rate 5 stars all around if the menu were easier to access.

Well I like the retro graphics. I'd much rather like to have a virtual joystick instead of just tapping to move. And I read reviews where people said the back button doesn't work to access the menu... Well it clearly says to double tap to access the menu. And what it means is touch with 2 fingers at the same time, or 2 thumbs, whatever. Duh.... It took me like 30 seconds to figure out. Where are your peoples brains?

The game has a lot of great concepts and I enjoy the overall game play and storyline. However, it frequently crashes mid-fight and mid-conversation. I also have an issue where the main story quests are triggering out of order, so I don't seem to be able to progress any further, because I have already completed the quest requirements. If these glitches could be fixed it would definitely be a 5 star game.

I like the game and the story. However, I cant get past through the swamp camp quest. I've been looking for other paths for days. I cant find the last path. Im stuck with 2/3. Please let me know what to do. Cause I already ran out of side quests.

I like the game but it lags a lot, making it unplayable pretty frequently. I have a Nexus 6 that's capable of playing significantly more graphically intense games so it's not my phone.

Seems like it might be fun and explore some slightly more mature themes than your average jrpg, but it's super buggy right now. Random slowdowns, issues hiding software navigation, and the two finger click to go back is not really a good replacement for a back button.

I liked the game the story and all the other stuff that is in the game EXCEPT the freaking LAGGING. I can't even play it right. How am I suppose to enjoy it if I can't play ut properly. Fix it and I'll fix my review. FYI devs I'm the 100 person to download this might be the last if you don't fix this issue.

Ported poorly - using my Sony Xperia Z3, this game freezes in the Ash forest (which is the beginning of the game) and simply will not run afterwards, forcing a game restart every time without fail. I do hope the devs are working on bugs like this and are still updating because as it stands, the game is unplayable. It's a real shame - I've heard great things about it before it's port to Android.

I've been playing this on Steam and loved it so begged the Dev for an Android version! WOW! It's about time we had more female protagonists!!! A completely unique RPG. Honestly I can't fault it.

Cool old school rpg, good storyline, like the graphics and seems like there's loads to do. Shout out to the developers, had a slight issue and they replied immediately and had it fixed within the hour, others could learn from them. Well worth the couple of quid, give it a go.

Second review. Dropped to two stars because you cannot scroll through items that don't appear in your list on screen. So if I have a powerful item that isn't showing up on my on page list, then I can't use it to fight. First review Took me a bit to figure out that double tap didn't mean tap, tap... But rather two fingers at once. Otherwise totally innovative game
