Very limited vocabulary, which is the whole basis of a word game, RIGHT? Practically every time I play, I try to input at least 3 or many more words that are fairly common, and get penalties for using legit words. Maybe the game is geared more for 8-9 year old kids vocabulary? Too fustrating, moving to another word game that recognizes grown up vocabulary.

I want a refund, not a good game. When im in freeplay mode, I dont understand why it ends the game unexpectedly after I make a few words! Its not timed so what's the deal. At least explain why the game is ending. I dont know why bc it tells me the points for the word I created then once i press submit, it ends the game and start all over. I dont get it and the instructions doesnt address this. The previous reviewer had this same issue. You'll see what im talking about once u start playing

Most Certainly Not Worth the Money... Poor side bar fonts; had to get magnifier to read SCRAMBLE... Scores like Scrabble without bonuses... Not interesting when attaining new levels... Music boring, really sucks... Dictionary STILL inadequate... Quits spontaneously; ie Game Over with no fiery tiles showing. Quite sure I will never buy a HAWK-I product again.

Graphics make this game addicting and fun. I love bookworm and this is as close as you will get. Get way to kill time and keep your mind sharp. Nice job!! Note 7 user

Starting a new game automatically after a number of points is not necessary. Let the game continue until one of the burning tiles gets us.

It is very much like Bookworm. I love it! I have had no glitches or problems. Only one issue I wish I could change and that is I wish it would keep a continuous score when I come back to a game. If this is the only issue, then I can live with it and still give it 5 stars. I think it's a neat little game much like Yahoo's Bookworm. I have no problems so far with my Nexus S. I wish it kept a continuous score but I can live without that and still give it 5 stars.

Like to play word games. So far havent had any problems. Would like to make suggestion, fix to where after u hit the last letter of the word tap again instead of having to go to submit.thanks

This game needs a better dictionary, improved graphics to differentiate the bonus and burning tiles and a more legible font in the right sidebar. A very poor cousin to the Pop Can version and definitely not worth the money. Want my money back!

Game not user friendly in that you have to press submit for every word. Many acceptable words on other word games are not accepted and the conventional Qu combination is absent. Not worth my time. I'm going to delete this now.

Very much like popcaps Book Worm, which I loved. But, the color of everything is so similar its hard to see different tiles and made my eyes hurt. Good game otherwise. Burning tiles need to be red and what are the sparkle tiles. To many glitches still. Like your bonus word changes before you can work letters to have it. Timed won't let you build your score and it won't take words I know are words. Please fix. I want to like this game!

Closest thing I could get to bookworm the only disappointment is that there are many words that I use that are definitely in the dictionary that say they are award please check your dictionary and fix this I would really appreciate it considering it is a purchased app and I am unable to get a refund. I will give it 5 stars when the dictionary is fixed

I had been completely addicted to the similar game fom a competitor with my iphone. Now that I have android this is the closest thing but is a horrible comparison. Dictionary is very limited, burning and bonus tiles look very similar, and playing words or clearing selections is very cumbersome. Definitely has broken my addiction. Gets 2 stars because it does work without bugs or intrusive ads.

Payed for game but it seems to be frozen saying "installing ". It's been 5 hours.

I thought it would be like bookworm but its not. It still poses the same challenges yet doesn't have the rfined look. Worth buying if you are a tan of word games especially bookworm.

I love the game book worm and I should never have paid for this game. The time version doesn't change every level. I just don't like the set up. This game could be so much better. Words like blog should be added to the dictionary. This app should be redone or my account 2.99. Its a cheap version of bookworm!

However for me this is not the same. I don't like the input method. I enjoy sound affects but like the option to turn off the music on a game which for me is annoying. The right side of the screen where there might be some fun info or challenges is impossible for me to see, they have tried to make it look cool but have distorted it too much for easy view. In short I wasted 3 bucks. Thumbs down

Not worth the money. I want my money back. The dictionary is horrible. When you go to the main screen and want to continue where you left off and hit continue the game starts over. Very disappointed.

Font is hard to read when small, as on option buttons. However, that seems to be its only imperfection! Best yet for replacing Bookworm without annoyances like in-app purchasing and flashy ads.

Not as good as one I had on my iPod... three stars only. It is just awkward to search for words and try to read words; the tiles should be more in line with each other.

Was really disappointed in this game. Bookworm is so much better than worm word. It is not a friendly game. :o( Do not like the timer, it doesn't let you know if there is really a word when you highlight the letters and what the points are. :o(

I have no problem paying for apps but they need to be really good. Most of the reviews here talk about the app not being as good as Bookworm. Maybe the developers should head over to Bookworm, play it and come back and update this game. I don't like how the burning tiles appear very early in the game. I don't like to hit the submit button to make my word go and I don't like how the burning tiles look so similar to the regular tiles. I think the game should end better. Let me see that the burning tile has reached the bottom and burn out like it does on Bookworm. Here we go again comparing this game to Bookworm. Here is a thought, if so many people love bookworm, make your game like that and charge a dollar more. Android users will buy it because we loved Bookworm but we hated those sorry IPhones and apple products so we switched to an Android, but obviously we miss Bookworm. Heck I can't figure out why the developers of Bookworm have not made the exact game for the Android market. By the way, I have this game installed on my Samsung Note 4 and Note Tablet 12.1 Pro. It looks the same and performs the same on both of them.

Game ends after a few seconds, won't accept simple words and is just plain boring. I would ask for a refund but they can keep it and make the game worth buying.

Recieved email saying i had downloaded it but it isnt anywhere on my phone! Big problems with this app! Dont attempt to download it!!!

Not as good as the original bookworm game but being made for the small screen on your phone it's as good as it can be. Probably want a 5 inch screen at smallest to make worth your while but I really have no complaints, it all works sweet.

Use untimed mode for long periods of relaxing, yet challenging play. The ONLY negative is it needs more info on burning & jeweled tiles re: scoring

Keeps re starting in freeplay for no reason. It would be better if you just tapped the last letter of your word twice instead of having to press submit all the time. If you accidentally hit one extra letter on the end of a word you can't simply un check it and submit it, you have to un check the last letter of the word,then re add it, then submit it. And maybe it's just me but i struggle to be able to find many decent length words i.e 6+ letters....

Expected this app to be a bit more like Book Worm but unfortunately it falls a long way short. Does not retain previous scores, once burned just starts a new game, the scoring is more like scrabble, letter scores not word score, too many burning letters, some words not recognised etc.

Only played a couple of times: until I got harassed to rate it so here is my pre rating... fair copy cat of the real word worm not bad

Maddening scoring that is only based on letter values - no points for word length. Flaming letters appear constantly. Bookworm scoring made sense and enticed you to keep playing. This is a terrible substitute - after months of trying to like this, I'm uninstalling!

This copy of Bookworm by Popcap is clumsier to play and frankly less attractive looking than the original; it also has a less complete dictionary. The algorithm that determines letter frequency also needs improvement.

Existing reviews were misleading.. there are better choices than this game...

No visible timer and on freeplay thought it would not have a time out, so the game is not enjoyable.

I love it. I wish I could turn off the music though. Sometimes a fire letter pops up at the bottom with no warning and ends the game.

Closes to bookworm though.....but still far from the fun. Dev plse change the submit button by just press double on the last letter...to cancel the word, please no need to press at the wrong letter again...make it brisk please

I paid $3 for this game so my grandma could play it and it should not quit after a while and then reset itself!

I have played Bookworm and have been looking for a similar game. I can't stop playing now that I found Word Worm!
