REALISTIC GAMEPLAY
Control the aircraft from take-off to landing with the responsive on-screen joystick & the meaty throttle. Whether you’re ascending at speed or diving manically, the game’s intuitive controls make it easy to steer your way through the chaos.
Unload on the enemy with your selection of guns, bombs, missiles and torpedos using the buttons to the right of the screen. Be sure to keep an eye on your fuel and oil as you advance through the game’s many levels, and return to base after you’ve successfully pounded your foes.

Wings of Fire Throws two challenging scenarios your way, forcing you to adapt and survive in order to claim victory. Each episode features a collection of varied levels & tasks, along with their fair share of pesky enemies.
EPISODE 1: Get on the offensive & eliminate all your enemies before returning to safely to base.
EPISODE 2: Enemy units are approaching, intent on taking your base. Defend your island at all cost and exterminate enemy units.

Some things could be improved, a bug here and there (eg. You can't approach a ship from behind to torpedo, the game will just drop you in the water for no reason) but overall it feels very much like the original (80s)

There should be a navigator or something, like an arrow pointing at the enemies, because it's hard to know when to bomb. It's a camera issue. Please add it on your next update, thank you!

Repetitive objectives and level designs. Too zoomed in - landing, bombing and fighting all feels like a battle against the camera as you'll probably be flying ridiculously slow and still have to attack things before they even enter the screen. Can't drop bombs while turning and plane explosions don't seem to affect humans on the ground.

They first release a paid version, then hide the paid version on Google Play and release it again as a free version with ads. No updates for the paid version anymore which now crashes at level 7, so you're forced to play the free version if you want to advance. Nice.

True to broderbund classic BUT no Japanese as the enemy! Please have a go at editing the enemy planes as Japanese Zeros, as fighting another Thunderbolt is just plain daft and spoils an otherwise decent game

I own this game on 5.25 floppy disks. I want to like it but it crashes so often I spent more time watching ads then playing it. Unfortunate, uninstalled.
