< Update 9.23.2016: Still not any better. Avoid. >There is no need for this game to run on device boot. This takes resources and cycles the game has no rihght to just by virtue of being installed. That's just abuse by a dumb developer or designer. Worse than that, it usually crashes when running in the background shortly after device boot. Performance got better after I uninstalled it. Hope they fix this to allow installation without that ridiculous permission, but until then, not on my phone. Removed!

The card game userexperience is great and better than Star Realms in many aspects. Single player is great too. When it comes to keeping scores and earning new avatars the game falls short. Finishing a campaign should unlock an avatar but it doesn't, playing +/- 10 games against 5 different people -> only 2 games counted, can't level up because games get counted wrong, ... And support can't give a proper explanation as to why. (also this effect happens with several of my friends)

It is a fun, simple deck builder. Great graphics, cool cartoon horror vibe, fun card interactions. The hard AI is ridiculously hard, to the point where I think it must be cheating. The easy AI is so dumb I can win every time. I REALLY Wish there were a medium AI, or maybe an advanced tutorial to help figure out the hard AI strategies.

Not quite my tempo. No real strategy, mostly chance, and hard to win. I'm not really thinking or planning just slowly wittering away at the opponent with no fear of losing. Love Lovecraft and this game would be great on the visuals theme alone if the actual card game didn't suck.

Was amazing before the radar was added. Now demands an update I already have constantly whilst it has become impossible in game to abjure starting cards from my deck, basically unplayable. Love the game so reeeeeeally hoping for a fix! Edit: Back up to 5 stars now. All good and my favourite android game in general.

The campaign's story is weirdly compelling and interesting - I want to unlock the full game to find out what happens. This game is witty, beautiful, and amazingly fun. Deckbuilders are rarely this slick, and never this compelling story wise. If you like lovecraft humor or deckbuilders, try this out. No ads is a big plus.

Downloaded this because you know. Lovecraft. Generic card game and rules that push for fast play. Cute art. The biggest problem comes when the AI is acquiring the power cards starting out, gaining life every turn no matter what it plays, and being able to hit for 20-30 despite what cards it plays. I played a few times just in case I missed anything and re-read the rules. Do yourself a favor. Avoid this. There are better games to download out there. Avoid this.

This is so confusing and rambled on and on to the point I had difficulty following instructions. I'd love to record the tutorial and listen to it at night when I need help going to sleep!

Had a blast playing it, until I bought it. The Hard AI will wipe the floor with you while you are still attempting to build up your deck. Doesn't matter your tactics or skill, the AI has perfect hands every time, it is ridiculous. That, and the repetitive nature of the game leads to the poor rating.

What starts as a great game is hampered when you realise that strategy is simply grabbing powerful cards before your opponent. No denial, no comeback, no limiting - just a slugfest that the AI always has an advantage in. Shame.

It's a great game, though I found star realms easier to understand; I'll probably get this with time, too. A problem (for antique fones) is that it can crash on winning a game, and it's also 'initializing' the payment system, eternally! I wanna buy it, but it won't let me. Praise Cthulhu!!!

I got the physical card game but I'm trying to learn the rules using the app as they're quite complex. Is it possible to get a redeem code for full access given that I have the original physical game?

The story is great and so as the gameplay experience. Finally a Lovecraftian game that is worth playing, but only one problem, occasionally a message pops up that the game crashed for unknown reason. That is all.

Even in the free 1st campaign. Makes sense given the mythos, but after the fourth mission or so it becomes nearly impossible to get the achievement. Still, the developers clearly have love for the source material and the gameplay is pretty straightforward. Solid effort. Thank you

Love the game enough to purchase the full version. I also enjoy the openning screen and music of the Lab. But I hate the ads every three seconds. Please give the buyers the option to shut those ads off. Ty

Although this is an example of monetization pushed too little (never thought I'd write that), I thought it was a nice game and I figured I'd see how much it would cost me to support it. But pushing the "Buy the full version" button did nothing!

Don't buy this game for the story! The narrative was compelling but sadly the story derails and makes no sense. Dissapointed in short campaign. But overall still pretty good game, for a while

I've lost games because the connection will just drop out. That aside I still love this game.

Love this game, i just hate that when discarding cards it won't let me zoom to see which card i want to get rid of. Few minor bugs. But fun and addictive!

I usually hate card/deck building games. Had to try this one. Bought the full version for my phone and on Steam within 3 hours of trying. AWESOME!!! So much fun!!!

Free version is too damned easy and I've never touched one of these card games before. You get 1 campaign and an easy AI without buying the full version.

Upgraded to the full version, played a few times, now everything is locked again

I couldn't buy the game since last week... I thought it was the internet, but my internet was fine so it must've been a problem in the game

Has very slick game play however disappointed that every time I try to buy the full game it freezes at the "initializing" message and I can't get any further.

Good game, terrible terrible app. It will crash everytime you reboot. It operates in the background even when not playing, my guess is it's data mining. Won't reinstall until this is fixed.

Pathetic excuse for an AI, programmers create artificial difficulty by allowing the cpu to control the best hands, best cards, etc., specially in the hard mode to frustrate players into paying to play against other players. You should be ashamed of yourselves WW TMG... Just ask for money for the online multiplayers and be honest...

The controls are a bit clunky with all the dragging. Other than that, I think I actually like this better than SR.

Hard to follow and keep track of everything... i wanted to like this game.

A mixture of Legendary, Dominion, and Magic: The Gathering. Definitely worth $4.99 for the full game. You can play against your friends either on the same device or across the net. Mechanics are super easy and each card explains what it does on the left side when you view it.

I like it however kinda disappointed that I cant clear the data and restart the game.... and yes Ive tried in my settings and all that does is sign me out and once I sign back in all my progress is back...

Probably worth buying the unlocked content. Easy mode is pretty easy. Building the machine is fun but it's hard to get past that goldfish-y feel of rifling through a combo deck as a result. Challenges are cool in the campaign.

Hi white wizard thank you for an amazing game took me a few goes to understand the in depth strategy you've got going on big fan of star realms to bought all expansions you produced for that and I will purchase full game of this to please keep up the good work and don't neglect star realms either graphics are excellent and humorous with this game you deserve a 5* :))

Neat little game, but why does it need access to my photos, or make and monitor calls on my phone?

Bought the game to play the upgraded version however after I changed tablets I am now unable to download the full game again or even re-buy it. Unsatisfactory.

@whitewizardgames, I really love the game but I whish the AI did not systematically start playing first which gives a tremendous advantage, allowing the control of better cards in the first round. Could we add this option in the settings?

I get a crash message every time I boot my phone or tablet. I assume this has something to do with the "radar" function. Please let us disable that

Just one thing: when I boot up my tablet the game still stops working, but it works fine otherwise. ASUS Zenpad S 8 with 5.0.

Love this game! It's the digital version of a card game made by Tasty Minstrel Games. You get the first campaign for free along with easy A.I. mode, and have the option of purchasing the full game which unlocks the second campaign, hard mode A.I. and campaigns, and multiplayer.

Just needs another twist. Only three different "factions" instead of the four you get with star realms or acsention. So it gets a little repetitive, but triggers more effects. But the campaign is fun & a nicer layout than star realms.

Good for groups with pass and play. Online also has by turn so good for every now and then.
