Fantastic Beasts™: Cases for Android
This is a really enjoyable game, especially for fans of HP and/or the fantasy genre. The graphics are beautiful and the characters look so real. I just wish energy wasn't used up so quickly. At 20 points of energy a pop you can't really play for long, and the XP needed to level up is also high so you usually have to wait for the energy to refill. Also, when you level up you don't get a complete energy refill; you only get about half. Waiting time to complete tasks is also too high IMO. At least a couple of hours if not longer. With any other game this is usually enough to turn me off but the gameplay, the story and the graphics are so good that I'm willing to exercise a lot of patience.
It's a good game but having to wait so long for the energy build up takes away the excitement of the game play. Iv noticed alot of other game users have the same outlook on this game. Even the timers for tasks take way to long.. 6 hours to complete? Really? Why so long? People will get bored and find another stimulating game. This is based on the whole wizarding world so it should be alot more magical and less time consuming.
Love the game overall but it takes way too long to build up energy. Because of this you are only able to play for very short periods of time before you have to wait for the energy to build back up. Also some of the 'inspection' actions take way too long. Waiting 6+ hours for an action to be completed is excessive. I would love to be able to play the game for more than just a couple of minutes a day. I realize it is done to encourage people to make in app purchases, however, perhaps you could provide a paid version of the app to avoid this. I love the game and would love to be able to play it more.
I wish it had an option to guess the beast. Sometimes it is pretty obvious, especially if they were something we learned about in Care of Magical Creatures from the Harry Potter books. It seems silly to go through the tasks when you know the answer. I also wish it was a bit easier to get stars, and that it did not take so long to load. The graphics are great. I enjoy the little puzzles and I really like tracing the spells. It would be cool if we could also trace the Obliviate spells and others instead of just Reparo and Scourgify. I am a huge HP fan so I do really enjoy this game.
So I've now fully completed all levels... I was hoping that after collecting all stars per level, some hidden game would pop up. As it stands, having all stars I'm only up to xp 30 and coin upgrades lvl 29. Max I believe is 50, would love to be able to actually use all my upgrades on future levels. As a note, don't waste your gems on potions if you're still a new user, when your cost per play goes down as you complete task levels, you'll start collecting a lot more potions. Save the gems for purchasing more gameplay instead! I love this game and hoping we get an update from Warner bros so we can play more!!
The game is fine to play for approximately ten minutes at a time. It is impossible to move forward in the game without spending money unless you are content for play for a few minutes then sit it aside for hours so that a task can be completed. You play the same scenes over and over again to earn stars so that you can move forward however the energy you have is so low that it's worth just about (again) ten minutes worth of game play. For those of you who want a fun hidden object game you might want to pass this one up. I would rather pay $10 for a full version tablet game than to be nickled and dimed like this game requires.
Decent premise. I'd love this game if only you had more life available. It makes you use several rounds of life to get these stars but then makes you use 1 star per task. Its extremely tedious. I do enjoy the scene hunts you basically have to find the objects in the picture, and get points which add up to a star. It just moves too slowly....
The game was fine for 4 days. Do understand that that is maybe 40 min game play as it is so restricted. However it was a nice enough game that I was prepared to work with that. Today it has a bug, it requires me to click a certain button to continue, a button which is not onscreen. No way to proceed. Contacted WB and was told to file a report. Filed a report and the reply was you will not receive and answer.....well that's an unusual approach to customer service. I now have no option but to uninstall. I could install it again, but really is there any reason to believe it won't have more similar issues?
It's a sweet little distraction for HP fans, and the idea of playing as a magical beasts detective was indeed very enticing. I was expecting something closer to pokemon catcher in terms of mechanics, and hidden object is not my favourite type. On the other hand, the plot is there and nicely written, pictures are amusing in a good way. Had no glitches so far on my OnePlus2. The energy balance system is obviously designed to promote ingame purchases, and that's fine, they need to support it somehow. I personally play it through various waiting times, like when I'm waiting for a cab or heating up my dinner, or filling up the bath etc, so the energy limit is fine if you treat the game that way.
I love the game! Though I have two little things to say. For one, I don't really like that you can just play this game with friends by logging into Facebook, which also makes me assume that the game status for the case of changing devices is only stored onto that profile. A profile I don't have. And secondly, I would really enjoy if we could also look at the in-game profiles of the provided coworkers, to know a bit more about the fictional characters Wer haven't met before. Apart from that: please keep up the good work.
Beautiful hidden object experience. Offers a variety of gameplay including mirrored levels, timed levels, and spot the differences. The Facebook connection is there without being thrown in your face like some other games and is a nice subtle addition. It does work off of energy however I am willing to stick it out just for the storyline.
It's a fun game once you get started. Takes to long to get life added. Should have something you can do to gain life points. The gem things take to much life from your avatar. Game is really cool but just takes so long to play. Way to expensive to buy stuff compared to other games. Not worth spending money here. Better to wait for life to regain.
Love the game, anyone who enjoyed the movie will like this. The only problem I had is having difficulty reading the list of objects you're looking for. You don't get much energy to progress very far so you'll need a lot of patience to wait for more energy.
The game play is repetitive, but I love HP. It is fun to see familiar objects(Nimbus 2000, a sneakascope). There are no ads, but it doesn't take long to run out of energy, so you either have to pay or wait. More variety would be great!
Having problems getting game to load since last update.no matter the device, but love the game itself. Fun if you're a Potter fan, or just interested in the stuff. Really nice graphics, too. Still having problems 3-4 days later after directly contacting developers. Have to say, could use a better response, guys!
I love it , I can't believe how addicted to it I beco.e so quickly, just wish it gave us more energy , or reward us with more energy once in awhile. I just want to keep playing it none stop! So enjoyable and fun! I'm a big Harry Potter fan and J.K Rollings Fan I hope I spelled the name right! Either way I love it and I can't get enough! Wish there were more games like this one, it's fantasy , magic, mystical creatures and characters are fantq9!
The game is fun to play but its expendable energy is extremely limited. I would love to see energy be a reward for completing tasks, or for more energy to be available all together, or for tasks and scenes to cost less. The loading time is a bit slow, but otherwise I'm enjoying the gameplay. What's frustrating is not knowing which scenes provide ingredients for potions... Including a list, or a tap-to-view list of scenes that drop specific ingredients would be amazing.
The game is really good, but the energy takes so long to re-load. You can play like 5 scenes and the energy is gone then you have to wait until 30-45mins for enough energy for one game. I would suggest that either the cost of energy when playing a scene goes down or the time it takes for energy to re-load becomes faster. Other than this the game is really good, would recommend it.
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and Fantastic Beasts was just as good. This game highlights the best part of the movie and it combines magic with Find It! games. Only thing I would change is the energy. Have someway to get more easier, instead of just having to wait until the energy fills up again.
Update: game keeps telling me there is no internet connection and thus stops functioning. Internet connection is fine though. This kills the game. Nice, but... I love this game. I really do. But given the "energy" you need and the small amount you get, I can play like 10 minutes every day. This loses you the two stars. I wouldn't even mind spending some money for more gameplay (I do for other games) but the prices are just goo damn high. Pity. I may even delete the game for this, and it is a damn good one...missed opportunity, I think.
Love this game, but it has only 14 cases!! WTH?? The last case acted like you were going on to another one, but no. Feel like it shouldn't have been released with only 14 cases. Very similar to Criminal Case in a lot of ways. The upgrades help a lot, but it takes a while before you notice their effect and cost is too high, IMO.
I love this game! It has these amazing grafics and so so so so many cases! Loved it. I just don't like the fact that the energy utilization per scene is a lot as compared to the amount of energy we have. Less ways to earn more energy. Have to wait till the energy bar is refilled and you can play again. Nevertheless a fantastic game of the fantastic beasts!
Beautiful game. Fun idea. Love the harry potter theme :). But "energy" regeneration takes forever and everything has an artificial timer to delay game play and fleece you for money. Hate that aspect. The puzzles are not challenging at all, but I don't mind. It's basically just a pretty hidden object game that you can only play sometimes because of the timers.
Love the game! The graphics seem very life-like. The only thing I wish were different is the amount of gold coins you get. Because the price for upgrades increase after each upgrade made, it seems impossible to keep up with them and you have to wait like two, three levels to be able to do an upgrade.
Personally I haven't found it as tricky as others have said it is. The difficult part is collecting the stars. The energy required to earn said stars takes quite a while to build up so unless you're willing to spend money on the in-app purchases then it can be quite a time consuming game. I am however enjoying it somewhat.
Anything Harry Potter world related is amazing. But not only that, this game is super fun and addicting. I wish I was about to get more energy without having to purchase(maybe some mini games or tasks to earn it back faster) it but other than that I love it!
The game overall is well made and looks great. Lags a little on my phone but, what high graphics game doesn't? Only problem I can see is the wait for consultations to get finished. An hour to 5 hours okay but hitting in the double digits is too much.
Liked it... but I tried to upgrade a potion with coins and now I'm trapped on the daily bonus page with a finger pointing saying I have a new potion... the first time I tried to upgrade a few days ago (when the game prompted me to ) the game kept freezing and then kicked me. Fix this so I could play and I'd be a daily user in a day or two I'll give up and delete the game
I play this game until now. Currently at case 4. There are some problems: 1. The gameplay is boring. Only search things. Or find the difference. 2. The song and animation is nice. I hope there will be a version of Harry, Hermione, and Ron. 3. I made some purchase, and once in a while it costs me twice from what I bought. 4. Whenever it asks me to rate while I am already pressing the "play again" button, it takes 40 of my energy!
It was not as expected. You would think it is would be fun and more adventurous just like the harry potter movies but its actually not. I thought you would solve mystery and you do. But most stuff you need stars from searching places but u have to be fast. I just didn't like the fact that I would do something in 30 seconds yet I would only have 320,000 points. That's a shame as I'm a huge harry potter fan and I had high expectations.
As one of Rowling books fan, this is totally epic. I can dwell myself on the wizardry world. Jave been playing this game about 2 weeks, at first I thought this game gonna be so-so but i was so wrong. The game storyline and execution is very good. The graphics also nice and it makes the experience way better. The fact that i don't have to always bought the item to win is also good.
Gorgeous graphics, interesting cast of new characters, and a Harry Potter ambience. I especially love the Ministry's creature warning signs on the loading screens, but as there are only 3 it is getting a tad repetitive now. I also love hearing the HP music playing in the background. Highly recommended for HP and Fantastic Beasts fans
This is a great game. The only negative comment I have is the fact that you have to wait approximately an hour to build 20 energy points, the harvest stops at 115, and it costs 20 points to run one scene... It limits how much you can do in one sit-down of playtime.
You can only play a few minutes at a time, since they only give enough energy for 5 tries. Unfortunately that means I play for 5 minutes, then forget the game exists for the rest of the day while I play other games. Great game otherwise. Fantastic graphics, puzzles and very cool narration. If they'd fix the energy issue, I'm sure I'd remember to play more, but 5 minutes at a time for 5 tries fails to keep my interest.
This game is fabulous. I haven't encountered any issues or glitches. The graphics are acceptable for it being a game on my phone. The only thing I don't like is when searching the scenes, it gets a little repetitive. Everything else, FABULOUS. Definitely addicted and there's enough levels here to keep me entertained for months. I hope an update comes out with more before I get to the end!
I really like this game and I'm enjoying the fact that it makes you feel like you're a wizard. The only main issue I would say is when you get to the Beast Quests, if you get stuck on one, then that's it. There's no option to swap it out for a new quest, and this fact bugs me. If we could get that taken care of, then I would rate 5 stars
Graphics and attention to detail is amazing. I just started playing so I'm enjoying it right now (although I don't understand why We have to wait so long for the results of investigation into items being send off?). Also sometimes I struggle with language cause I don't know the names of all the objects but hints work well then.
Game is pretty amazing.. they have nice elements to keep things interesting and feel different from other games like this, but the energy cool down is very annoying.. In any case.. it works offline.. so that's a plus, no server down and cannot connect please retry after sometime issues..
While the graphics are gorgeous and the actual game is fun, the forced wait for 'energy' to be restored completely wrecked the experience. It's essentially rationing the game play to encourage in-app purchases. I'd be happy to pay a one-off fee so as not to be held back, but for now I'm uninstalling it. It's too frustrating.

The game has gorgeous graphics. Each scene is very detailed and fun to play. Some are a little difficult to get through if you like to keep your brightness low like me and some items are incredibly tiny to find. But it has a fun premise and it's a pretty good time waster. However, you can't play for long. Each play takes 20 energy and it goes by quickly. Waiting for it to refill takes a long time. Getting stars to solve cases also takes some time. It's basically the wait time in this game that kinda kills it.
