Pure Pool for Android
This used to be an amazing pool app. I played on my Shield K1 tablet and everything was smooth as butter and beautiful as a sunset, with graphics on the highest setting. Controller support was a huge bonus. The only downside was that turning the music off only worked temporarily, as it always came back on when the next track was up. I like to listen to audio books while playing, so this was annoying, but not a bust. Unfortunately, the past few months the game has been far too laggy to play on that same tablet, even with graphics set to the lowest quality. I've been waiting for a fix, but it's been too long. Uninstalling in favor of my old favorite pool app, with slightly less impressive 3d graphics but smooth, non-laggy gameplay.
Don't waste your money this is really laggy even on medium quality! Free billiards games are better than this!
Bought this game for my pixel. It doesn't open. When I click the app to open the game, the screen goes black... Nothing else happens.
Suck
Weird one to review this. I quite enjoy the game on the shield TV, although nobody is ever online... Ever. I don't know if this is a bug my end? It does look good and plays nicely.... On the shield tablet, the performance drops massively and at the best graphic setting is very stuttery. Even dropping to the medium setting its still not smooth, plus it looks far more jaggied.
UPDATE: Issue has been fixed! Five stars. Excellent on NVIDIA SHIELD TV. A slick interface with Next-gen level graphics, and multiplayer is pretty fun. The only issue which I find odd is the Dualshock controls in-game, which I hope gets fixed back to ABXY in a future update, as everything else is great. And I'll give it a 5 as soon as it is.
UPDATE REQUEST: ALLOW CHANGING SONG TO ONE WE LIKE IN THE TRACKS The physics and feeling you get when playing this game fools your brain into thinking you really are playing pool in real life. from the sound effects to the way the ball reacts give you a feeling of this is real!. soundtrack is great too! Spectacular Game With Spectacular Graphics And Spectacular Physics! How can a game this amazing run on mobile this is truly the most amazing pool game and a NO brainier to buy it 5 bucks this game is easily worth 20usd. You just get a great feeling of satisfaction hitting the balls around a phenomenal simulation that deserves 5 stars (SOME TIMES I LEAVE THE APP RUNNING FOR THE MUSIC LOL)
Update to 3-19-2016, Had Issue with Nvidia shield Controller and Logitech K400 Keyboard Conflict But that's not apps fault. This app is beautiful and all seems to work flawlessly.
Guys I can't play on nvidia shield TV. It's stucked in to improve the performance of pure pool shity window and we can't go any where
If you get an error when trying to install it could be due to switching from internal SD card mode. Needed a factory reset to fix... Works great after installed...
Black screen and no play.. Tetra x1
No one plays online. Wish I didn't purchase.
The design and physics of the game is really so poor. Wasted money.
Love your game. first Android pool game that uses the Nvidia Shield Controller. How about making a Sniper Game that also uses the Nvidia Shield Controller? Thank You! :)
This game did work fine but since android 5.1.1 it just crashes on open please fix this.
NOT WORK on my SHIELD tablet... Wasted money...
Installed this on my Shield TV. The games looks good though and the gamepad controls work pretty well. The hardest part is controlling the speed of the shot. However, if you have played pool seriously like I have, you will be very disappointed in the physics of this game. The reaction of the cue ball is not much at all like real pool. The goofiest reaction is when you try and put draw or backspin on the cue ball. Most of the time it just makes the cue ball jump off the table. And when it doesn't the draw action is something completely bizarre. The follow and side spin actions are modeled where it is something I can live with, even though it is not quite perfect. If they could make the backspin behave decently, then the game would be OK at least. If you want to see what real pool physics should look like, check out Virtual Pool by Celeris. Also, on Android TV, Pure Pool mistakenly shows up in the "Apps" list instead of "Games" in the launcher.
"Unfortunately Pure Pool has stopped." This is on SHIELD Tablet running Android 5.1.1.
Just played the game once cuz itt dose not even open now.
I like the game, it has real potential. The big negative I have is no options for the music. I'd be happy to even be able to mute it so I can listen to my own music. I can't shoot a masse shot in the game, though this isn't a big deal. Good graphics & physics.
But you need to allow music style change or mp3s,..5 star when you do
Lagging, stuttering gameplay on shield tablet. No British pool option. Stopped working at all now.
Expected better graphics quality out of the creator's of Pure Chess. And at the very least little lag if not stellar graphics. Right now, Pure Pool has sub-stellar graphics and sub-stellar performance on both my Tango and Shield. Disappointed but looking forward to future updates.
I like it but I'm sick of the music (would like just sound effects) and I can't for the life of me figure out how to access the left side bar! I'm stuck playing the damn tutorial on my Shield Pro.
I can hear voices but I just get a black screen. On Pixel C
Title says it all. Waste of money
Too slow on nvidia shield
Just bought it and crashes immediately.
Suck
Really beautiful looking game but always crashing or laggy on my SHIELD, needs a little more work
Looks nice plays well on shield tablet has achievements and online play.
Nexus 9 has the Tegra K1. Any plans for support?
But you need to allow music style change or mp3s,..5 star when you do

Plays good on Nvidia Shield TV gen 2. Game pad controls could use a little tweaking for smoother cue strikes and aiming. Background music issues.. Settings lets you turn music off but shortly after music starts up again??? Would be nice to have option for different background music. Current background music is too loungey (Dulls the game expierence., especially for younger generations)
