Pure Chess

It's a beautiful game but I would like to see an analysis button so that you can analyze your move before you make it. It's one of the things that I love about the "Chess Time" app.

I purchased extra slots i have yet to play it wont load properly to many issues as well as xb1 i was hoping this experience would be better its not its worse 2 stars i like the music.

Slow game. If want to learn or play at higher level ,you have to pay

Crap on android compared to steam plus they charge more money for multiple games.

Why do i av to pay for almost everything on the app, I could av just rated it 5 star but the app seems expensive... After downloading an app of over 300mb, you still expect me to pay???!!!!

The game is advertised as "Pure Chess" but only come with checkers and you have to buy the chess set. Very misleading

Newest update removed all my dlc. Why? It was working fine 2 days ago eith the older version

Couldn't play the game at all. Seemed as if the game wasn't fitted to my screen and I couldn't play a game let alone touch a button.

For some reason my DLC disappeared in the middle of me playing it.

Advertisements AND I have to spend fifteen dollars on piece styles and difficulties? You ruined it

My favorite depiction of chess on Google Play. Having a choice of several chess sets and environments is a nice touch

This is the best game of chess you can have in your game library. It's has great background music, great graphics, and great controls. If you're new to chess it even has a tutorial mode with special chess moves that other apps won't teach you about true chess. The DLCs are totally worth it, the pieces are intricate and very detailed. It's a fun game to pass the time and get your brain moving.

Best chess game on Android! Cannot fathom why this isn't one of the first apps to pop up when I search chess. Been playing it since it was on PS3 and it's the closest thing to having an actual chessboard on your phone. Started as a total novice and this game has helped me improve dramatically. Plus, if I'm going to kill time on my phone, I daresay chess is probably more beneficial than many games.

Love the game, superb graphics, purchased the lot! I cannot talk highly enough about it. Well done guys, really love it. I have tried many, this just leaves the rest in the dust! If i can a suggestion please. Would be even better with more board options, choosing the colours yourself including the pieces. Thanx again

"There was an error connecting to the server. Please wait..." I get this all the time. Cannot see the online standings chart. Everytime I make a move vs an online player I get no options. I cant go back to the list of active games. I basically have to restart the app to do it. Also I have the PS4 version and is becoming buggy also. Server errors and same thing trying to access the online players standings chart. Please fix these issues and Ill revise my review. This is not a free game I paid for both so...

Great chess app, I have nothing bad to say. It has all in a package. Great sound, great graphics, great game mechanics, it's simple and easy to play. Now, my only concern is it doesn't offer different pieces to choose other than the only one available to play unless you pay for them.

Game was working just fine, then I installed the latest update and it is now unplayable. The pieces will not even show up on the board. Please fix this and I will rate 5 stars. I paid for custom features too and have been waiting for months now, for a fix. Very disappointed.

So just got done with an online match saved the replay and tried to challenge a recent opponent and it is telling me I already have a game with this player when I do not. Offline the game is really nice like pure chess alot but until this issue is resolved it will just get 3 of 5 when it deserves 5.

I love the game. Easily the best chess app on Android. It definitely needs better camera controls though. Maybe just add a "free-look" mode? Also, with the Staunton set the crystal option doesn't display correctly. It makes all the pieces Stark white. Otherwise, amazing game. Highly recommended.

A well made. The engines work terrifically. Everything is to be bought then what is the point of a game 350mb? Let's face it everybody is in for the skins and expected actions by such skins. Anyways capitalists will always conquer. On the positive side. The best clickbait. Ever.

I first bought this game for my Tegra 3 Nexus 7 and it ran fine. Then I upgraded to an almost 12 inch Tegra 4 tablet and it ran even better. But I put this game away for a few months, and now that I've come back on the same Tegra 4 tablet it runs terribly. It takes 15 seconds for one piece to stutter across the board, and there is no point in even trying to rotate the camera, let alone zoom. I get that this game has now been optimized for Tegra K1 but does that mean it can no longer run on anything else?

I like this rendition of chess simply because it's simple. The graphics suit the atmosphere, the AI is very annoyingly good and the added multi-player features aren't bad either. $6.50 for the add-ons was worth the quality; as a fan to the original game. Keep up the good work.

Read a bunch of reviews that said how great all the graphics were etc so I downloaded this app but the only style that's free looks like checkers which is confusing to me cause it looks like a game of checkers not chess. I understand why there are extras to purchase but it would be nice to have at least one for free that looks like chess pieces. Unusable for me so uninstalling. :(

If you were to add an option where you could resign from computer matches that'd be great. Also, add fast movements for the pieces option (the pieces move too slow for me). I've spent money on all the sets and challenges, set remains 0% in downloading.

I was looking for a good 3d app to play chess to get use to looking over a real board. This is great! In the options can you put a resign button, I don't see that option?

If beauty and elegance is what you desire, then this might be the chess app for you. Formal wear should be required. I'd spend $6.99 on the high brow soundtrack alone. I've read complaints of this requiring some serious hardware to run although, I've had few problems running this on an older Galaxy S2 tab. Not a phone app, I think, but if you have a screen with some real estate and the hardware to push some pixels, this might be the chess app for you. Now, if the developers just took 10 minutes more to include some simple to add but overlooked features, this really would be a standout app. It's beautiful to look at to be sure but, as it stands, the closer you look, the more frustrating this critical lack of development becomes. Alas, the beauty here is only skin deep.

Great app! Plays like the console versions. Games are quick and controls are intuitive. Love the ability to change ai difficulty. Game looks great as well..Graphics are top notch. Very professionally made app...Well worth the price for the full version. Well done!

Whilst the game is OK all DLC has gone since the update that was supposed to have fixed the DLC issues and expects me to pay for them again. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't do anything.

Please Fix Multiplayer. Also reduce size of the game. This is just a chess game & it takes 550mb of space in my phone...

I purchased the full version and downloaded from my tab. However, I cannot restore my purchase to my phone. Why not? Every other app allows us too, except this one. Please fix or Please explain.
