Riptide GP2

Riptide GP2 is a watercraft racing game that exists in the same vein as Hydro Thunder and H2 Overdrive. The player can buy and upgrade various water vehicles which are then used to compete in a number of events. The graphics, audio, map layout, environments, vehicles, and gameplay are good but don’t leave an impression. This makes Riptide GP2 fun in short 10 to 20 minute bursts. Riptide GP2’s tricks system is similar to the one present in early Tony Hawk games. To perform tricks tricks the player must execute a series of inputs just before launching into the air via a ramp or a wave. The majority of these inputs are simple, but a few ticks, like the “Deathwish”, have inputs that are slightly too precise for a mobile game. Overall my experience was not mindblowing, but good nonetheless. I’d recommend trying out Riptide GP2 if you want a simplified mobile experience similar to that of Hydro Thunder or H2 Overdrive.

Really great game, very entertaining and not many flaws, but it doesnt last long. After 4 hours of playing I maxed out the most expensive jet, and the game no longer really challenges me, as I've gotten 3/3 stars on almost every match, except the freestyle ones which I find very boring. I have to play them in order to unlock the "allstar cup" but the real fun is gone.

Does not open most of the time on a Samsung Galaxy S6. Have been sending feedback for months without a response. Great game if it only worked. And yes I have tried clearing everything and reinstalling the app. nothing solves the problem.

lags and force closes everytime you change the graphics to high... Common vector unit gotta fix this. Game lags every 60 seconds even at minimum graphics..... Please fix this....Why do you leave out Mali GPUs....T760 is an Octacore beast... Shouldn't be a problem for you all..

Great controls and gameplay. Easy to learn, but hard to master. Only gripe is online. Everyone I play against quits if they're losing. Need some sort of penalty for rage quitters or atleast a rewards for completing the race to encourage people not to quit

As a community we should unite in punishing developers who ad-spam us, use pay-to-win systems. This game is a first class product. High end graphics, gamepad compatible, progress possible without expensive upgrades. No annoying ads. Try it.

One of the best Android games I've ever played. Was saving up to buy this and Riptide GP: Renegade, but am absolutely stunned to get it for free!

The game itself is fantastic, but I can't help but feel that I'm missing something as I can turn up all the graphics settings but I can't use high shaders for some odd reason even with all other graphics setting set to low. It's kind of disappointing as I have a very high end phone that should be able to use all the very high end features.

Finally i just bought it now. I was playing the cracked version last night but it turns out it crashes always at the end of the game or at some point. So i decided to buy it. Which was worth it. Really great game!

More levels please! That means it's time to update and add some more levels since I cleared them all its getting very boring playing the same ones I cleared over and over. Now I have 12 million in dollars or Points whatever you want to call them and every jet ski fully upgraded very boring now please update or I will uninstall.

I hope this game is free in future as people without credit cards can enjoy playing it too. I also wish the jet ski wil not be so expensive in future as i donot even have a photon yet

One of the best games on the play store, please buy the game and support the developers like I did! Don't pirate this game, they deserve the money! :) THE GAME BACKS UP TO YOUR GOOGLE ACCOUNT. THAT'S AMAZING!

A great, though obvious pay-to-win game that transcends the mobile concept and approaches full on console experience. Despite paying to download the full game, difficulty after the first couple of hours increases to push you to pay more for upgrades just to keep up. A number of infuriating obvious AI cheating moments (being overtaken at the last moment when you're way ahead etc) spoil what is otherwise an exceptional racing experience.

Love the game for those that remember it this is a water Wipe out (PS1 game) easy to play and addictive. Some may disagree but I prefer the buy me games" I know I will never be prompted to pay stupid money for upgrades etc. TAKE NOTE other publishers. Well worth £1.49 5 stars

This game crashes every time after i launch the game. It worked on Mi4i but it was laggy. I'm just disappointed that even with Mi5's top notch hardware, i can't play the game.

I downloaded this game into my Samsung Galaxy S5 and it runs pretty well. The only reason that I've not given this app 5 stars as because it got in app purchases as which ruins the game for me.

How is that even possible. Im using a Note 5 with an octa core proccesores and Mali 760mp8. It should be able to perfectly handle it. Im even turning everything else off, to test it out n still crashes by just tapping shaders.

What happened? The game used to run like a dream, now even on lowered settings the framerate struggles. Please fix!

Once upon a time I downloaded every game that's thrown at me. Nowadays I've become a bit more picky. This doesn't disappoint

I love the graphics, the thrill and the shear excitement of this game, but I have some ideas for a new update. Bring back the old jets from Riptide 1 (Tigershark and Cuda) as well as some old tracks. Some new jets would also be cool. Some new event ideas (like from Hydro Thunder Hurricane) such as ring master and gauntlet could work. I would also like too see a free play mode where you can chose the track, event and difficulty of the opponents and not get money or experience. It can be the "Testing Zone." I would like too see some of these ideas in a new update.

This is the continum of Riptide1 but the difference is this one has laps and variety. You choose your jet boat styles. And racing laps. If you dont like one . just go to another. There's a lap for any boater. Graphics are realistic then most other games I've come across. The drivers on the jets boats are stunt driven adrenaline pumping acceleration. Which i can never get enough. The turns and curves on ramps are amazing.

I've really enjoyed the game over the past few days. Already beat the single player and maxed out my jetski. Graphics are solid and game play is very entertaining. Unfortunately now that there are no more single player races for me, I've found it has practically no one participating in the multiplayer battles. May have to do with its $2 price tag and lack of downloads... hope it improves so I can start playing against people.

I write this as a die-hard WipEout fan. I've been wanting a great future-racing experience to grace both my phone and PC at home, and this game delivers! - Ironically in order to get my future hover racing fix, I had to wade out into the waves, but I'll take what I can get. However there *is* a grind involved, as no matter how good you get at the tracks, or how much you upgrade your base vehicle, you will reach a point where you simply have to buy a faster craft, and those cost quite a bit of in-game coin.

After some time it can get a little too easy. It'd be cool if there was some sort of HARD mode or something. Not challenging enough at times. You can literally get through what's supposed to be the toughest race without using any type of boost.

I love all of Vector Unit's games, and bought them all. Support for either my Logitech F310 Gamepad or keyboard is usually very good, but Riptide GP2 is the exception. For the most part it works, but for some reason, it detects the layout of the controller incorrectly, even with X-Box Input enabled. This could easily be corrected by allowing custom button mapping in the game. If the developers add custom key/button mapping I would happily give this game 5 stars. UPDATE: It seems the Logitech F310's gamepad layout isn't 100% Android compatible, so bumping up to 4 stars. I have since bought a Speedlink Gamepad which works great with this game. Keyboard support would still be a great addition though.

If always loved the hydro thunder games that you'd see in arcades and sometimes food joints. The water racing feel was always so satisfying even if thoughts games we're over the top. This game is pretty much the mobile baby of hydrothunder. But with BA jet skis baby.

While using on screen controls, stunts execute randomly while turning. I don't use the accelerometer option. 3 stars for additional gamer rage that's not needed to win

I have Hydro Thunder on the Dreamcast and that game is amazing, and this is kinda like a spiritual successor to that and Jet Moto on the PS1, and it's just as good! The only problem I have is the difficulty, but that's very minor and personal.

A hint for people having trouble winning: I beat the whole career mode with a fully upgraded lancer, the keys to winning are boost at start as wakes from bikes make it tough, also don't go off every ramp the pc does but sometimes you're faster when you skip a ramp or 2.

Screeching tires and boiling exhausts, this game leaves all of this behind. Let's you meet with the calm cool water boosting your rush of adrenaline to the roof. The most realistic and top graphical game on Android.

The only single issue i have is the fact that i play using touch controls instead of tilt and when im playing more often than not it thinks in trying to peform a stunt when i hit the steer buttons, it has really killed the game for me because im not concerened with stunts just racing and it will throw me off without warning. Please release and update alowing me to turn off stunts it would make a wirls of diference

Playing it on the NVIDIA SHIELD flawlessly and looks beautiful. Only thing I'd like to see in a future update is a practice track to try out my new moves/jets

Bought it wouldnt let me instal it till a day later so I got my moneys worth but it worried me that my money just was taken at least I know I got the game and all is the same now.
