NEO.emu Free

Totally undeserved low mark on the Play Store! This is a great NeoGeo emulator that works (if you know how to get bios and rom files) better than Mame4Droid, since it doesn't heat up my phone and the emulation is without a hitch(meaning you don't have to use frameskip and other tricks to run the games like in Mame4Droid). The downside is it can't play the last few produced NeoGeo games like Metal Slug 5, Samurai Shodown 5, Kof2003 and Svc Chaos, but every other NeoGeo game works like a charm. This is by far the best NG emulator on the Play Store!

Took a while to get started... But now it works fine. I didn't create a separate rom map though.... I downloaded neo geo bios and mame4all and put the neogeo roms in mames rom map. Mame plays almost all roms but for some reason mame 0.37 won't play the neogeo roms but I found out neo emu detects the roms in mame map...strange but it works. Not all of the roms but at least samurai showdown2, last blade2, metals slug2 and a few more.. like having arcade Hall in the palm of my hand.. Super excited 5stars+

Amazing app! It took me a bit to figure out the steps but now I've got it working on my phone + android box. Added a controller and boom finally got the neo geo I always wanted as a kid. Make sure you get the right bios.zip and file. Put it in the same folder on main drive as the ROMs. Thanks to the developer...this app is freaking amazing!!!

This emulation software is unlike any I have seen before, you unzip the file as normal and keep the zipped file afterwards and launch game with the zipped file. It was a first for me but not breaking copy right laws I own Metal slug as a full arcade machine. Still feels better on that but cost wise this is a good stand in.

Followed the instructions to the tee, and it crashes immediately upon attempting to load a game no matter what I do. I've spent days scouring through forums trying to find a solution, and all I've been able to find are a few people who had the same issue and never solved it.

It keeps telling me to get 0.zip and some bin file that the stupid rom doesn't have every time I unzip it from 7Zipper. I also tried looking for it on the Browser. But it also didn't have it. I will rate it 5 stars if ya update the app where I don't have to get the stupid zip and bin file. It's horrible. Please send me a respond, and an email.

This App Touch The Moon But Neo Geo Game Files is Error & Some Game Files Loading It Failed or missing the file (because Neo Geo Game Files is Error it not App Problem) but app is Awesome (No No Super Mega Hyper Awesome) Please Keep it Up Up Up & Away To The Next Level!!!

i love this, my only problom (and now, im not sure if this is with the game, but if it IS with the emulator, PLEASE fix it its annoying the FU*K out of me.) whenever i try to play metal slug 3, if i try to turn around while spamming the shoot button, the game softlcks and i have to restart. its SO ANNOYING!!!!!!if you could find a way to fix this i would greatly appriciate it and give 5 stars best free mobile neo emulator ive used

when i went to play a game file everthing was fine except the buttons. the start/sletec buttons and A, C buttons where not visble. the hit boxes where there just not the skins to show where it is. can you help me?

Please update this app add more games and with newer games to play very limited now there not even caddilacs and dinosaurs also snk vs capcom not recognized its to new for this emulator really that game is old lol please waiting for massive update on games list

This emulator crashed on Samurai Shodown V Special, but managed to play the original Samurai Shodown, had me confused as to whether I'd put a Capcom CPS ROM in by mistake.

All my ROMs that can be played on neoragex is incompatible here. It keeps saying something like "file check for .... Failed, ROM set not compatible."

To the people saying "It doesn't see my games" you have to select them for the first time. After that they will be in your game list. To the "where can I get the games" people, it is illegal to provide information on this. Some quick googling will help you out.

Sounds disappear after a few minutes, please look into it, playing KOF 2002. Neodroid doesn't have this bug, but they don't have multiplayer functionality like this app. It would be great if you could fix it.

I can't run any KOF game after '99 properly without it missing sound or going to an error screen. Please fix this for later Neo Geo roms.

I broke my head a couple of times trying to figure it how to do these. I have lg tribute 2. Open file manager create a file NEOGEO IN SD CARD.DWNLD NEOGEO.ZIP WHREVR U CAN FIND IT I USED DOPEROMS. PUT ZIP FILE IN NEOGEO FILE SD CARD...OPEN EMU OPEN LOAD GAME DIRECTORY KEEP SEARCHN EXTERNAL SD OPEN NEOGEO FILE LEAVE IT OPEN BY USING X TOP RIGHT CORNER EXIT EMU. I USED ROMHUSTLER MAME ROMS DOWNLOAD MOVE ZIP TO NEOGEO FILE . OPEN EMU OPEN GAME LIST AND PARTY TIME

I am actually very willing to buy the full app the only thing that is stopping me is i cant figure out how to get my joystick to do 8 way movements with your app. If you can explain or send a link i would be very appreciative. I am using the steel series xl

The app doesn't come with everything you need to play a rom, so you'll need to download a file called neogeo.zip (not NeoGeo_Bios.zip) and put it in the same folder as your roms. If you want your continues to depend on how many times you touch the Select key, change the BIOS type to MVS in System Options, which may also enable or disable blood in some games.

Everytime I try and load a game, it says Neogeo Zip not found make sure it's in your Rom directory. Need help please.

Its simply great. You just need work on few steps before it could run properly. Create a NEOGEO folder in your memory card. Place a neogeo.zip file in that folder. You can download it from doperoms website seaching the link in it. Place a neogeo rom (for example metalslug.zip) in the folder again. You can download the roms from coolrom website. Thats it !!!! open the neoemu app and load games locating the neogeo folder. Works great !!!!

Brilliant! Some people here moaning they cannot get it to work etc. Read the instructions CAREFULLY on the developers website! Get the ROM's from within a recent MAME set, and also take your BIOS file from there also and install ROM#s and BIOS in the same folder. Should then work fine! Plays almost all Neo-Neo games perfectly (compatibility list is on the developers website). Some great options - quite an advanced emu. Also supports external controllers (including my Wikipad). Mapping is limited (unless using the Wikipad mapping) within the emulator so you can map only to the analog stick and not D Pad. This is also the case in the Megadrive and PC Engine free emulators from this developer but has been fixed for the PAID versions. So I assume more advanced controller options will be in the PAID version of this app. For a free app this is AMAZING!!! UPDATE: can now be mapped to the D pad with Wikipad.

The app keeps telling me that it cannot find the Roms but I can't find the ROM folder to store them in, if I. I will change the rateing when I get it working

I love this emulator but however in some games which are made in the 2000's it sort of fails including the king of fighters 2002 and the SVC:chaos can i get some help? Or do i wait until they update the app to make those roms compatible
