9th Dawn II 2 RPG Free Demo for Android
Impossible to aim magic spells makes everything pointless and frustrating as hell. Amazing music, art design and style though... I would have bought it for sure if the fireballs actually hit anything... Damn, I just wanted to find an rpg with style like fallout/diablo 1-2 and this would have been it. Edit- after getting used to the aiming its not impossible but still awkward so not that bad. Changed from 3 to 4 stars. Edit2- i cant believe the first game had such an intuitive semi auto aiming/firing system and this was downgraded with NO the option to switch back to the original... :(
The lack of game restore from save is a deal breaker for me. When I die I find myself force closing the game and relaunching so that it will pick up from last autosave rather than spawning from the 'blood spawn' location and forcing me to replay several levels sometimes. This is tedious and silly.
So much worse than first part! Skills deal close to no damage, no sustain, no heal, very first monsters (rats) kill you constantly. Controls are extremely inconvenient. It's close to impossible to get joystics to the position, wher you want them to. You cannot move joystics positions when they are not floating (toggle option in settings), but when they are, they are completely invisible when idle! Jumping between moving platforms is very tedious because of that. Menu contains a whole lot of unnecessary items making the buttons very small and hard to use. Closing menu is inconvenient via a small button on top only (could be any press not in a menu, like center of the screen, and that would be nice), however all necessary menu items are at bottom. DON'T BOTHER BUYING. GRAB FIRST PART INSTEAD!
Wow! Now this is the kind of rpg i've been looking for! Amazingly intresting! Great job devs!
Not really what I like, but thanks a lot for offering a real demo.
Good game needs a little more work
Great old school feel.
Nice project
Disappointed
Will the game save transfer once I buy the full game?
Wanted to test this, but cannot even start a new character because there is no on-screen keyboard. Not sure if this a device/os issue or developer oversight. Finally got this working. Demo seems a bit small, but otherwise not bad.
I own 9th Dawn, which I quite liked. I never get far with my usual, a mêlée tank. But nearly sailed through as a mage....until I got so lost in the undead maze labrynth and just gave up. I could NOT for the life of me progress or find my way out. So I used a dragon wing to get back to my spawn point. Turns out I HAVE to go that way to further the quest, ffs. I'm taking a break. Meanwhile, I go check Steam to see how the Greenlight campaign was coming for Valorware -- there's a sequel!
Better than the first 9th Dawn in some ways, worse in others. Melee combat leaves much to be desired, especially regarding weapon selection and relative weapon range/size. The spear was slow, and felt like it had the range of a pencil. Jumping wasn't all that interesting to me, it's kinda arbitrary. Music and sound are wonderful. Atmosphere, graphics, and performance are great as well. One thing I miss from 1st game is the freedom of touch/looting everything from barrels to pots, why remove? Still buying.
The people that are giving this game a 5-star review must be lost in time. I don't think they've ever played anything better than original Baldur's Gate. This game is terrible in so many different ways I can't even begin to describe it. I have uninstalled this game and I would definitely not recommend buying the full version.
Please add support for full screen, immersive mode. It's a bit annoying for phones that have soft buttons, I wish the game hid them. Great game otherwise!
I'm only a couple hours in but I'm enjoying it. I played the original game quite a bit and this one has some great improvements. Anyone know if I can transfer my character from the free demo to the full version if I decide to buy?
Is there any way to import you're character from the demo? I really don't want to have to start all over.
Awesome little game finished as much as I could within the constraints of the demo (couldn't pass little wall) definitely considering buying full version. EDIT; I considered buying full version for all of about 5mins, it's currently downloading lol.
Funny and good design, not a easy game and demo is short, waiting for updates.
It starts loading assets then closes can you fix for xperia play users would love to buy full if it works

Decent concept, uninspired graphics, fumbley controls and story
I'm glad I didn't buy the real game first... that's all I have to say about the game.
Awful controls.
1st one better.
Great demo :) me want more
Transfer Save from demo to paid????????? HOW.
One of the worst games I've seen... seriously how hard is it to have the 2D character sprite flip horizontally and have two more sprites for up and down? A sad joke...
One of the best adventure games I've played on here... BY FAR. My only complaint is the lack of different areas. Where are the snow areas? Desert areas? It's always bland green...never changing.
Had difficulty figuring how to attack. I thought I was facing the proper way. It got too tedious and I uninstalled it. Not a big fan of this mode of game play. But thanks for offering a demo.

Although to simple for an educated rpg consumer, the game caught me with it's rough charm. There's lot to improve, but still deserves a 4 star grade. Nevertheless I'm clueless on how to lockpick; nothing seems to work - regardless of what I do (gliding, pushing, pulling or simply touching) as soon as I touch the screen the lockpicks break. I lost more than 20 with no results. There is no tutorial on how to lockpick, nor any clue on forum. Enough said, definitely a must play.

Pretty fun. Kept my attention for about an hour (or however long the demo was). What originally made me come here and review right is the music at the beginning which sounds like a remixed Morrowind song! Lol awesome. Definitely gonna purchase. Update: Wife gave me allowance! See you on the other side!

Can I move my demo character to the full version when I purchase it?
Definitely promising, however other review comments are not inspiring much confidence that the full version is polished. I finished the first one before the expansions were released but due lollipop I was unable to play. This has been the case for months. While this could very well be truly excellent my call is to hold off until you (the buyer) have that confidence.
1st one better.
Just got the update for this demo, I'm WAITING for payday to come so I can buy the full on game. I was a huge fan of 9D1 and this one takes the cake!
